Dugout Discussion – Brighton vs Spurs

The first of four remaining Double Gameweek 34 fixtures gets underway at 7.45pm as Brighton welcome Spurs to the Amex Stadium.

After a hugely underwhelming start to his pair of fixtures in Saturday’s home loss to Man City, Harry Kane has the chance to atone against a Seagulls’ defence without a clean sheet in their last 12 attempts.

The Spurs striker was second only to Mohamed Salah by the narrowest of margins (18.28% vs 18.32%) for the armband, while over 71,000+ have played their Triple Captain chip as he looks to chase down the Liverpool winger in the race for the Golden Boot.

Kane starts this evening along with Christian Eriksen, while Son Heung-min returns to the teamsheet after featuring off the bench at the weekend.

Boasting a 17% ownership, the South Korean has four goals and an assist in his last four league starts. Along with another of tonight’s starters, Serge Aurier, he was on the scoresheet in a 2-0 win at Wembley when the two sides last met in Gameweek 17.

But Dele Alli owners are left with just a two-point haul from Double Gameweek 34, as the midfielder is left out altogether ahead of Saturday’s FA Cup semi-final against Man United.

Lucas Moura earns a rare start for the visitors out wide, as does Toby Alderweireld in defence, with Davinson Sanchez the man to make way.

They’ll look to rein in the Seagulls’ Glenn Murray, who was on the scoresheet in Saturday’s loss at Crystal Palace.

The veteran is in fine form in front of his own fans, firing five goals in his last six starts at the Amex Stadium.

Paul Is certain he won't make the same mistakes next season. Follow them on Twitter

Butland if you plan to get Everton defenders. Otherwise, no Everton defender.

I've got 11.1 to spend on two midfielders, currently I'm on Mili and King.
    How would you spend it?

It's only for this week (using FH), and this is what my team looks like:

    Pickford Hennessey
    Kompany Baines PVA Long Dummett
    Salah Sterling Mané Milivojevic King
    Auba Firmino Jesus

    ITB: 1.4

FH35. Assuming no leak of Liv luneup. Pick two (got Salah, Sterling, Jesus):

    a) Mane
    b) Sane
    c) Firmino

Do we think Arsene continues to rotate for the West Ham game?

    Thinking around Callum Chambers.

Quite a few days in between West Ham and Atletico but not so many between that game and United so perhaps it's the United game we'll see the most rotation?

I would go on that “merry go round” that is Arsenal defence. Way too much rotation and not extra keeping a lot of clean sheets (although playing at home)
Just think there are better options that are more nailed etc

I go Cech and Hennesey on the bench in case no show. Think its the safest.
Also thinking Mustafi and Dummett kind of player on bench just in case.
I will defo have cheap, playing bench. Plenty good options that could cover rotations

Free hit managers, who do you think are the key players for GW35 then?

    I am thinking:

    Salah (despite a rotation risk)
    Aubemeyang
    Zaha
    Milo
    KDB
    Jesus
    Sterling
    Kompany

Aguero could be back before the end of the season according to his father: “Sergio is fine,” he told Radio Continental. “They did the arthroscopy by cleaning the inside of his knee. Everything went fine and in around 10 days’ time he should be back to training.” #MCFC

      How's this for a non-FHC team. -8 taken.

      Lowton - Long - Lascelles - Robertson
      Salah - Sterling - Silva

I wouldn't get Otamendi when there's Kompany and Laporte available. You need somone nailed. Can you afford Walker?

Ayew's a good pick but might be 2 GW's early. I'm looking to get him in for Barnes in GW37.

It's tough isn't it? Don't discard any player you will definitely want for the run in.

This question interests me, as I do not think it’s as clear cut as it seems on the surface...

      1. Zaha (wat)
      2. Arnautovic (ars)

Zaha off the back of a brace, all hinges on likelyhood of a Benteke start to me...Excellent attacking threat with Tekkers off the field is slightly diminished with him on.

Arnie has been shooting for fun, genuinely OOP and likely to be up against CB pair of Chambers and Mustafi...not so shiversome.

I’m almost certain to keep Milivojevic on my FH, even if he’s just 1st sub. I’d have Zero hesitation playing Arnie ahead of him, but not so sure with Wilf, feels a closer call...

      Any thoughts?

I think zaha wins. both are basically strikers and although palace play a game less their fixtures are so much more impressive. both these players will be involved in their teams goals but I think palace will score more in the run in
