Best set-pieces and penalty takers for World Cup Fantasy semi-finals

We are down to just four teams left at the World Cup, with set-pieces and penalties still expected to have a big impact on the outcome of the remaining matches.

Once again, we’ve pulled together all the relevant data so Fantasy Football Scout members can work out which nations are the best to invest in for the semi-finals and final.

It still looks like England are the most likely to score from set-piece situations in the last-four, while France could get some joy against Belgium.

Our research includes the penalty and corner-takers for each country, based on who has taken them either in Russia or, in some cases, in qualification. If there is no number next to a player’s name it’s because they took at least one in qualifying and/or warm-up games but are yet to take one at the World Cup itself.

We’ve also calculated which teams concede the most fouls and attempts from set-plays too to help you work out which nations are the most likely to get set-pieces in the first place.

To clarify, the ‘Attempts from set plays’ section combines those who have shot from direct free-kicks or those who have latched onto the end of a corner.

The deadline for Gameround 6 is at 19:00 BST on Tuesday July 10, so make sure you sort your team in time.

        Thanks. Zaha is the one Im least sure about, agree. Could go Tosun, or if Austin has a good pre-season its tempting to downgrade and use that 1m somewhere else. Looking at a Chelsea defensive double up with Moses, he seems amazing value too.

        I like it. Not a big fan of Siggy though, Ramsey seems straight up better and triple Everton is very optimistic. Dont forget they are a mid table side.

      similar structure to my team except I have Salah and two mid-price strikers.
      Like a previous poster I have gone for Tosun instead of Zaha.
      It is the first RMT I have seen with Aaron Lennon in it.
      I had completely forgotten about him to the extent I was not sure if he was still at Everton!
      Given that I have Chris Wood in my team and that Lennon is only 5.0m I think that is an extremely shrewd pick.

      personally i think i would downgrade lennon as I dont see him as an 'secure/steady' scorer, and rather get a premium gk that u know will bring in points every week.else is super!

    Not understanding the deulofeu love-in. The way I see it is that Watford are an unknown entity with a new manager. Richarlison and Pereyra are likely to start ahead of him? Surely a Watford team with all 3 and a CF is too imbalanced?

      I think he could be a good punt. But like you said, need to be monitored during pre season. If he does not look like a good option anymore there are other interesting 5.5 (Redmond being finally? one of them)

      That is not a great back 3 when you look at it they are there for the taking and the likes of Mandzukic could cause them major problems.

      On the same note Kane will fancy his chances against Lovren as he has caused him big problems before.

      It seems both Kane and Sterling are asked to drop deep often to pull CBs out of position and allow overlaps from Ali and JLingz. I think that's way Kane hasn't been getting chances from open play. Now that we're against quality European sides, I can't see silly penalties coming our way again.
