"Without Monreal, Kolasinac and Koscielny, however, former Paris St-Germain boss Emery may turn to Welbeck as an alternative in defence after the England international forward trained at left-back prior to Sunday's visit of City."

    Wish I had Mahrez now...

I hope Emery is not considering Welbeck at LB. Why not play 3 at the back - he has enough CBs:

      Leno
      Mustafi - Sokratis - Holding
      Bellerin - Xhaka - Torreira - Maitland-Niles
      Mkhi - Ozil
      Auba

Only a fool would seriously think is gonna happen. Maitland-Niles will start at LB.

I am genuinely scared by Richarlison, as I know I will not get him in for at least another week or two. By that time he could have done his early season scoring & be tools down for the rest of the year.

Just a reminder that he played 65 games in 2017 with no break and his loss of form may have been due to fatigue. Didn’t hear anyone accuse him of ‘downing tools’ last season.

          What you may consider...
Richa flagged right now - wait and see
If Richa was unflagged, his price may rice before GW 2 while there is a small chance Moura may drop
Moura may not be in Spurs team for long (not sure what's the Lamela situation). But if Moura was to drop and Richa to rise, would you want to wait a week or 2? Not like Southampton is a much tougher opponent than Fulham in next GW.

Should I keep faith with King for another game or switch to Kane playing Fulham?
Not overly sure how much Kane was even in the Spurs game, Newcastle actually seemed unlucky from the highlights

Yep Kane was lethargic. At times he wasn’t in the box and was more trying to set things up. Felt more worried not having Eriksen or Alli when watching the game.

Perfectly fine for early pre-season getting minutes in the legs but absolutely woeful for a competitive fixture.

Sorry. I mean, if you can sign Kane for King, I wouldn’t be hesitating to make that move. Been here before with Kane tho, but a plum home tie against a bit of a makeshift defence

Kane didn’t look great; although I only saw the second half. I would stick with King. Seems like he played well but was unlucky not to score. Ok, Spurs have Fulham next week but if you have Kun or Salah they are also good options for the armband

      1. Bucky Barnes
        • 10 Years

I've got Kun thanks, Kane looked knackered at the world cup and I didn't think he'd play first game.
Surprised he did but staying away if he's still worn out
        Thanks for the info

How do you swap a 6.5m forward for a 12.5m forward? Did you keep 6.0 ITB?! If not I presume you are taking hits, in which case, it could definitely work out well as Kane could easily hattrick v Fulham. But just be cautious that King is equally well capable of taking your pants down and giving you a jolly good bumming if you get rid for a hit also

Surely if he plays well today then it's his spot to lose. Transfer in the long run because he's not nailed, but at 7.5 if he can play and pick up returns for 2/3 weeks while we see what other options are available then he's good value.

I got him in thinking that would get 2 or 3 games out of him. See who is the real top pick in city mid and swap a few around getting them in. This would also potentially include Kun to Kane.

Fine. Got into some decent crossing positions. Played a couple of nice passes to Kane in good areas but as we know Kane wasn't great yesterday. He'll be fine for the season. Just need to watch it when CL comes round.

Not at his most attacking. Could have had an assist if it werent for donkey Sissoko (why is this man still playing in the PL?). Spurs were in decent control defensively, Newcastle scored on one of their very few chances.

Wilson - Missed pen but looked really lively and dangerous, constantly in the penalty area.
Neves - Goal and assist and looked great - difficult looking fixtures coming up

        1. Captain Roberto
          • 6 Years
          5 years, 8 months ago

Praise by Jose is meaningless. it's just praise for Jose. He talks such rubbish there's no point listening anymore.

He made a couple of errors in defending and loose passing but the defence was a shambles, with Lindelöf all over the shop, Bailly diving in 24/7 and not keeping in contact with Lindelöf, and Darmian trying hard but just not being great.

I watched the match on tele and Motd, and there was a very telling highlight for a Leicester attack where Shaw won the loose ball in the corner and looked to play up pitch and Pogba and Sanchez were just standing still giving zero options. Sanchez especially just hung Shaw out to dry on that occasion.

All in all, Shaw was solid in his own play considering the back 4 and lack of help. If anything, Jose may use Young as a sub to replace Sanchez rather than using Martial.

"Neves - Goal and assist and looked great - difficult looking fixtures coming up"

All their fixtures will be difficult for them. They are a promoted team.

Note I did say IF though as it's just what people are saying ... hes basically conning the folks daft enough to pay him. People like that are not worth a w.... in my opinion. harsh referred to the word "scum". you can say its bad advice, bad etiquette or whatever - but call someone scum because he had shaw in his starting 11, is only justified if that someone is mourinho.

Is hes telling folk one thing then doing the opposite ...when they paying him money it's more or less a scam...so scam = scum in my opinion. If it's all not true I'll retract. All this Patreon BS is a con ain't it, but misleading folk is just ridiculous. Wonder how many dropped Shaw on his advice ( IF it's true )

Worrying trend where people just want to slate people.

More of the problem with someone making money this way, is why the hell someone wants to pay for his advice in the first place.

I don’t understand comments like this. The purpose of the site is to give good avice and for posters to share their point of view. I remember back in the day Mark, Granville and co struggling to finance new servers from their own pockets as the site started to get popular and before the paying members area was set up.

Sure it was nice when there were fewer people using the site

He's clearly been brought in to replace Baines, whose pace has gone now. When it happens though is another question. I'm not actually sure how good Digne is though. Only ever made back-up at PSG and Barca, didn't make the France WC squad. Was decent in his one full season at Roma (3G, 3A). I would avoid both for now until the new defence has bedded in, or go Mina once he makes the starting XI for his goal threat

      - 90th minute goal when you doubled up of defence
      - penalty miss by your captain
      - nailed on good player gets injured in the warm up

Had it with Toby Alderweireld one year, they all got clean sheets except him

Way worse though was 2 captaincy incidents 4 months apart in the same season:

      1. Captained Ashley Young for a penalty miss
      2. Switched captain from Nani (Blackburn home) to arteta(W Brom home) at last minute.
      Nani - 1 goal, 2 assists in 7-1 win.
      Arteta - 0 goals, 0 assists, 1 red card in 4-1 loss

That season was my only top 1k finish to date too. Bizarre.

Mostly what others have said but also inconsistencies when you view two passages of play that are seemingly the same but points are awarded differently and not in your favour.

Captaining the wrong player in a double gameweek like Milner when he came off injured at HT in the first game and didn’t feature in the second. Or Valencia instead of Rooney when the former scored over 50 pts. Raging at oneself due to a stupid decision hurts a lot more than raging at simple bad luck.

It all gets blown out of context everytime it's related to Jose Mourinho.
He's captain now, and has already scored.. his confidence will be sky high.

Sky Sports making a story out of nothing. You have Kaveh Solehfool tweeting that Barcelona still want him etc., they just want Sky bets in that's all.

          Exactly!

It's getting boring now. There's no logic in selling him whatsoever unless you want to play McTominay or Fellaini every game

I personally use the comparison tools. If there's too similar players that you're looking at then you can compare them with heat maps, shots, key passes, tackles etc
