Why Mark has played his FPL Wildcard for Gameweek 3

We can reveal that Mark Sutherns has played his Wildcard for Gameweek 3 of the 2018/19 Fantasy Premier League season.

Joe spoke to him in the latest episode of ScoutCast Extra Time on Friday afternoon to find out his reasons for hitting the button and making a raft of changes.

Mark explained that a lot of his decision revolved around how volatile the transfer market has been since Sergio Aguero‘s (£11.2m) hat-trick in Gameweek 2.

With managers all over the world chopping and changing Mark was faced with a situation where several of his original assets were facing price falls, and those he wanted to replace them with were going in the opposite direction.

Joe made the case for sticking with Mark’s original Gameweek 2 team but it will definitely be an all-new line-up in Gameweek 3.

      Tough I do prefer 2x4.5m keeper rotation I feel as a strategy it has a higher success rate over last 10 years of FPL... For every de gea season there is a foster or Heaton season

      He won’t challenge Mendy. Watching that programme on Amazon Pep’s whole strategy seemed to be based on how Mendy plays.

      Sane/Sterling/Mahrez seem to be the left side forward rotation pairing maybe. But not sure how that fits with Jesus and Kun both on the pitch. Both Mahrez and Sterling could rotate with Silva on the right maybe?

        If Sane returns quite possible Mendy is rested or doesn’t start... it didn’t seem to work that well when they played together - unless same goes over to the other side which we haven’t seen too much.

          Not true. Mendy plays very wide which allows sane to play more narrow and gives more space to Mendy to send in crosses.
