Why Mark has played his FPL Wildcard for Gameweek 3

We can reveal that Mark Sutherns has played his Wildcard for Gameweek 3 of the 2018/19 Fantasy Premier League season.

Joe spoke to him in the latest episode of ScoutCast Extra Time on Friday afternoon to find out his reasons for hitting the button and making a raft of changes.

Mark explained that a lot of his decision revolved around how volatile the transfer market has been since Sergio Aguero‘s (£11.2m) hat-trick in Gameweek 2.

With managers all over the world chopping and changing Mark was faced with a situation where several of his original assets were facing price falls, and those he wanted to replace them with were going in the opposite direction.

Joe made the case for sticking with Mark’s original Gameweek 2 team but it will definitely be an all-new line-up in Gameweek 3.

    Had a decent start and placed within top 6k. Saved up 2FT and used one of them on Mkhitaryan for Jota, so currently on this lineup:

    McCarthy
    Mendy - Robertson - Bailly
    Salah - Richarlison - Mané - Mkhitaryan - B.Silva
    Agüero - Tosun

    Bench: Hamer, Kamara, Peltier, Bissaka.

    Nothing in the bank.. Tempted to replace Bailly, but for whom? Monreal being the option I'm leaning towards myself, but thoughts appreciated!

          I'm just not a fan of Tosun and suggest a cheaper forward. Wilson is another option.

          That would be your best way into Baily->Alonso.

          Otherwise can you do Alonso for a free?

            Tosun to Wilson only frees up 0.9.. Need 1.1.

            Could play Bailly and save FT, and then get Alonso for free next GW. However that would make me transfer out either B.Silva (Newcastle H) or Tosun (Huddersfield H).. Not too sure about that.

      I like the Monreal option. Think you can reap rewards if you keep faith plus not many have him anyway so differential. Bellerin another good option.

      I did Erik->Mane this week as Mane seems to be on fire at present with the stats to support his points.
      Mikhi has always flattered to deceive at a ff level so I'd just monitor him for now. Good value though.
