Wildcard squad, any last comments? Please don’t tell me to shift Eriksen out, he is my boy and I’m sticking by him!

Maddison to become Richarlison in a couple of weeks.

    Patricio – Foster

    Alonso – Mendy – Robertson – Cedric – AWB

    Salah – Eriksen – Pedro – Maddison – Hughes

    Aguero – Wilson – Ings

    What to do?
    A) PVA to Laporte - no hit

    B) Salah to Hazard - no hit

    C) Salah to Hazard and Walcott to D.Silva - 4 point hit.
(Thinking these two players will get a lot of points in the upcoming weeks. (Still have wildcard to get Salah back after 4 games)
    Also own Mane.

    1. Poor man's Igor Biscan
      • 7 Years

Don’t like any of them am afraid. Trading Salah for Haz will just be trading one big hitter for another.

      Laporte can’t be nailed either

Would rather get rid of Mane for Haz (budget?) or Dilva and use funds elsewhere.

This argument about Mane keeping pace with Salah COULD happen but the stats suggest this isn't really the case.

Also, while Hazard has good stats they are nowhere near Salah.

The difference is how you utilize the money saved on taking out Salah. If you can get a well rounded squad then I would think Mane and Hazard going forward is an excellent option.

Especially if you feel confident that you have good captain options instead of Salah.

Its ready, any thoughts? 0.2 ITB. Yes, it is different than others.

    Rui (Hamer)
Alonso - Mendy - Shaw (AWB - Bennet)
    Haz - DSilva - Pedro - Ramsey - (Billing)
    Kun - Lukaku - Wilson

Shaw probably just miss one game week, so happily can play AWB or Bennet.
Decided to go without Liverpool assets and drop Mane to DSilva when I can see him outscoring Mane in next 3-4 gameweeks. This also allowed me to get Ramsey over Maddison. Ramsey or Pedro going out for Richarlison, havent decide it yet.

Is this good to go or would you pick Maddison over Ramsey?

He's nailed, but I just don't see any form in him yet - just my observation. Nonetheless, if you need Arsenal cover, then he would be the best Arsenal option for midfield.

Well almost all of his ownership bought him at 5.5M so can afford a drop without losing money. It's a different matter if you are thinking of bringing him in on a wildcard. BOU fixtures are great for ages so he can sit on the bench for a couple of weeks unless you desperately need him to play.

            1. MTPockets
                5 years, 7 months ago

Agreed from a price drop perspective. But with no comment this morning all we know is he has a hamstring issue. Would guess most owners can't afford to have him benched for two weeks in anticipation.

It depends if Fraser is your 4th or 5th mid. He's my 5th and I have 2 playing CPL defs sitting on my bench so it's not much of an issue. With his fixtures i'd only want him back when fit anyway so an easy hold but it would be silly to bring him in if he isn't in your team.

Last decision for me on WC is Patricio or Fab....
Anyone who has made this decision. What convinced you to go either way?

I'd go Patricio, Fab won't get any CS's anytime soon

Fab will be relying on save points most games..

          Which double up:

          A) Hennesey & AWB (+ Doherty in the mix)
          or
          B) Patricio & Doherty (+ AWB in the mix)

          ??

GK would be only playing one, but the defenders would be rotated

Considering leaving Mki on the bench this round and do Mane+Mkhi to Hazard+Richarlison for free next week (Can't afford Haz this round)
Would make me play 5-2-3 with the following 5 at the back:
          Robertson - Alonso - Mendy - WB - PVA

          Madness?
Tempted to do Mki to Pedro right away, but I think saving would benefit the long run. Thoughts?
