Watchlist Update – Morata bursts onto scene as Wolves improve

We have updated the Watchlist ahead of Fantasy Premier League Gameweek 12.

All four sections have been tackled in one article this time around with attention drawn only to the biggest changes.

Make sure you investigate the widget in full on our sidebar to see who we think you should be monitoring for your squads in the coming weeks.

The only mover in the goalkeeper department is Jordan Pickford (£4.9m) who creeps just above Newcastle shot-stopper Martin Dubravka (£5.0m). There are two tricky fixtures for Everton in the next four as they have to travel to Chelsea and Liverpool but home matches against Cardiff and Newcastle have strong clean sheet potential.

Above him, Kasper Schmeichel‘s (£5.0m) form has increased from C to B as Leicester kept their first clean sheet since Gameweek 7 in their recent win at Cardiff City.

Just below the Dane, Rui Patrício (£4.6m) shakes off his Unfavourable Fixtures factor as Wolves schedule eases a little. After a trip to Arsenal this week, the newly-promoted side have Huddersfield (home) and Cardiff (away) as well as a trip to Newcastle in Gameweek 16. However, the Gameweek 15 visit of Chelsea and Gameweek 17 meeting with Bournemouth keep his fixture factor blank for now.

Ben Foster‘s (£4.5m) schedule swings in a different direction as his Favourable Fixtures factor becomes an Unfavourable Fixtures one. Watford’s next four matches are Southampton (away), Liverpool (home), Leicester (away) and Manchester City (home).

Patrício’s Wolves colleague Matt Doherty (£4.9m) is the only rising defender. That fixture swing is what has underpinned him creeping just past Keiran Trippier (£6.3m), who faces Chelsea (home) and Arsenal (away) in two of the next three Gameweeks. To his credit though, Trippier has finally shaken off his Rotation Risk factor having started the last 10 Premier League matches in a row and featuring only as a late substitute in Spurs’ midweek Champions League win over PSV.

Kiko Femenía (£4.2m) remains on the list as a starting £4.2m defender but Watford’s fixtures (mentioned above) push him to the bottom of the pile. The options from Leicester (Chilwell), Everton (Digne) and Newcastle (Yedlin) all look better for the near future. Femenía’s form also drops to B, with two hauls and two blanks in the last four matches.

Mohamed Salah (£13.0m) and Eden Hazard (£11.3m) remain above Raheem Sterling (£11.1m) among midfielders for Gameweek 12, in spite of the Man City man’s 21-point haul against Southampton. He keeps his Rotation Risk factor on account of missing two plum home fixtures to Pep Guardiola’s selection policy earlier this season. Meanwhile, Hazard loses his Injury factor having officially recovered from his back problem.

After switching him to Gylfi Sigurdsson (£7.5m) for Gameweek 11, Richarlison (£6.9m) has returned to the Watchlist. We consider it a peace offering after he ruthlessly punished our decision to remove him a week ago. Fantasy Football Scout members will be able to look at the data behind his return to the Watchlist by reading this article.

James Maddison’s (£7.0m) knee injury sees him drop to eighth place while Ryan Fraser (£6.1m) and Anthony Martial (£7.5m) benefit to occupy sixth and seventh place respectively.

Fulham’s problems in front of goal have seen Andre Schürrle (£5.9m) drop off the end of the list to be replaced by West Ham’s Felipe Anderson (£6.8m). It’s mainly the fixtures that hold him there for now as we’d like to see some consistency before pushing him higher up.

A 13-point haul against Southampton is enough for Sergio Aguero‘s (£11.4m) form to go back to A. Therefore, he holds onto top spot in the forwards’ section.

12 points registered against Burnley sees Marko Arnautovic (£7.1m) improve his form to B and he is set for another week in second place with West Ham’s nice run.

The only other change in the forwards’ section sees Aleksandar Mitrovic (£6.7m) fall off the bottom in disgrace. His replacement is Álvaro Morata (£8.7m) who has four goals in his last four matches and impressive underlying statistics to back that up too. He comes in just below Harry Kane (£12.4m) but one above Roberto Firmino (£9.2m)

I've had triple Liverpool since GW 1 (Alisson, Robertson, Salah) but think I've come to the decision I'm going to go without Liverpool attacking cover after next GW.

Liverpool simply don't score as many away from home as they do at home. After the next GW they have 4 away in the next with the 2 home games being tough ones against Everton and Man U.

I'll be sticking with double Liverpool defense but would rather have Sterling (double up with Aguero) than a Liverpool attacker after this coming GW.

Yes that's a fair assessment but make sure you assess the replacements as well.
For example city have played the bottom 5 and for the most part thrashed em (Newcastle an anomaly).

The mid table teams they've played have had less goals (wolves brighton).

The next few are mid table games. Not saying don't get sterling as It's probably the right move, but just consider things

Makes sense tbh. It’s the fear of exploding that keeps you interested as I wouldn’t be surprised if they clicked at some point attacking wise and smash an opponent away from home. Thinking of keeping a salah or mane till gw16 before ditching for spurs mid potentially

they will still be strong defensively, most clean sheets in league since VVD came in.

I have Alisson and Robbo and Salah, I think
Alisson has to go as I can see a few of them teams scoring, will keep Salah as pool may have to revert to scoring more than the opposition.

Got 7.6 ITB if i sell now but will be a -4. There are loads of options but are any worth it:

    1. Willian

    1. skihouse78

Tempted but difficult to fit in with current structure. Man Utd might be on cusp of a good run with the confidence after beating juve. But still don’t trust mou to let them attack more freely from minute 1

      1. HamezMace
        • 9 Years
        5 years, 5 months ago

Martial has got good returns whilst United themselves haven't been great...which isn't a bad thing.
But like you, I'm worried about the lack of harmony at United, a manager who insists on 'control' of the game.

    2. InSaneMan-e
      • 10 Years
      5 years, 5 months ago

He's been very good on the eye. I'd wait a week because I can't see utd scoring many (if any) vs city.
His competition is also interesting. Sanchez looks like he might play upfront and lingz and rash fighting it out on the right...basically he's nailed

      1. HamezMace
        • 9 Years
        5 years, 5 months ago

He'd be my Maddison replacement, so still fancy him to score more than him this week.

I wasn't sure how Lukaku would effect that front line.
Thought Rashford had played on that left side before as well?

Worth taking a hit to bring Arnie in? Would involve Maddy to 4.5 (?Diangana) and success to Arnie. Worry that Hudd might be buoyed after Fulham result & defensive stats looking better.

    1. HamezMace
      • 9 Years
      5 years, 5 months ago

I think if you don't have Arnie already it's not worth a hit to bring him in before City. Try and save a FT and plan a way to get him for GW14.

      1. skihouse78
        • 6 Years
        5 years, 5 months ago

Thanks! It’s the FOMO that pushes the move but I’m thinking Diangana could provide returns vs hud and potentially reduce pain of an Arnie haul!

Fixture don't ease up too much though, Liverpool and Arsenal in two of the next five..after City.
But I don't worry too much for attacking players from the top teams playing against other top teams, those games usually have goals.

Is this a good or bad idea people?

      Aguero & Maddison
      to
      Arnie & Sterling

Just don't like the idea of ditching aguero

          Neither do I :'(

But I think it could be stronger long term with westhams fixtures

            At your own peril
But kun is always captainable. Sterling will also get rotated as we now approach a busy schedule
I agree arnie and sterling should be targets, but I wouldn't sacrifice kun

Solid advice. Your name is misleading...

I'll look to just swap Maddison out

      Hi all. Struggling here. 0ft.

      Allison
      Robertson Mendy Luiz Duffy
      Gray hazard mane(c) mahrez
      Aguero arni

      Hamer holebas hojberg inheacho

Do I need a -4. What would you prioritise?

No what's the issue? Worried Mahrez doesn't start?

Worried about mahrez and hazard. And mane was awful midweek. I wildcarded two weeks ago and 5 none starters! Couldn’t be much worse.

Anyone consider Murray? I've got a fairly template Salah / Kun team with Robbo / Alonso but I've been stuck with Mitro up front.

I'm thinking Mitro > Murray for a free

      Any advice welcome

I was close to doing this but in the end went with the man in form Wilson for Mitro. Much more attacking team too.

Fans of benchwonkery could have a field day with Maddison (c).

Only one question for my team this week, play one:

      1) Camarassa
      2) Success

Anyone going TC this week? I am. Salah or Mané. I have both so...

It’s definitely a good option but I prefer DGW TC

For Salah that is, higher ceiling IMO

I know. Normally I wouldn't but last year I used it on Sterling and that was a fail.
Still have 2 other chips to use for DGWs.
I think you gota go bold to get anywhere in this game so I'm gona TC Salah.

Anyone who knows how price rises falls work understand how stephens has only fallen 0.1 despite losing around half his original ownership (540k) and dropped 25% of his ownership since his last fall?
Disgruntled hudson odoi owner (who fell 0.1 with a 10% overall ownership loss)

Bit of an unconventional team here, but struggling with Captain. Any 3 of these could go off, and want to get it right! Is my Decision to bench Shaw and Laporte Justified? I'm a United fan so convinced myself we'll score but also concede......

Currently backing Auba but feel free to change my mind!

      Foster
      Duffy Chilwell TAA
      Hazard Pogba Sterling Milner
      Arnie Auba(C) Wilson

      Bench: Hamer, Richarlson, Shaw, Laporte

Benching Shaw I agree. Laporte not too sure.
I'd captain hazard but this isn't a bad choice.

I seriously consider Arnie (against Hud) this week. Think he might turn beast mode on
