Aguero absent from squad as Man City host Bournemouth

Pep Guardiola has left Sergio Aguero (£11.5m) out of Manchester City’s matchday squad to face Bournemouth entirely.

That is because he has a minor injury that he does not want to risk worsening.

“He has a muscular disturbance. He is not I believe fit. It would be risky (to play him) the doctors and physios tell me. We don’t want to take that risk.” – Pep Guardiola

It is a no-show that will heavily effect the outcome of Fantasy Premier League Gameweek 14 with the Argentinian striker a strong captain candidate.

Gabriel Jesus (£10.1m) starts up front in his place while Raheem Sterling (£11.4m) keeps his place in the starting XI.

David Silva (£8.7m) left on the bench as Fernandinho (£5.4m), Ilkay Gundogan (£5.4m) and Bernardo Silva (£7.5m) all started in midfield, with Leroy Sané (£9.3m) operating on the left.

Meanwhile, John Stones (£5.3m) missed out at the expense of Nicolas Otamendi (£6.1m) again and Oleksandr Zinchenko (£4.8m) started at left-back in place of Fabian Delph (£5.3m).

Opponents Bournemouth dropped a surprise of their own with David Brooks (£5.1m) left on the bench.

Crystal Palace named an unchanged side from the one that drew 0-0 at Manchester United while Johann Berg Gudmundsson (£5.9m) returned to the Burnley line-up and James Tarkowski (£4.7m) is back from injury on the bench.

Huddersfield lined-up in their favoured 3-5-1-1 formation while Brighton have left Glenn Murray (£6.7m) on the bench.

Jamie Vardy (£8.9m) returns to the Leicester City side while James Maddison (£6.8m) keeps his place despite being sent off in Gameweek 13. His one-match suspension was served in the League Cup midweek.

Isaac Success (£4.6m) is back in the Watford line-up with Troy Deeney (£5.9m) going back to the bench. The Nigerian international starts up front with Gerard Deulofeu (£5.4m) again.

“Today we feel Isaac and Gerard in the beginning may be better but we know Troy and Andre will be ready if we need them.” – Javi Gracia

Jose Holebas (£4.7m) also comes back in after missing Gameweek 13 with a calf injury.

Finally, Jamaal Lascelles (£4.7m) is fit enough for a return only to the Newcastle bench, while Javier Manquillo (£4.4m) starts in place of Ciaran Clark (£4.5m), who is also among the substitutes.

Their opponents West Ham line-up with both Marko Arnautovic (£7.1m) and Javier ‘Chicharito’ Hernandez (£6.2m) as well as Andy Carroll (£5.4m) back on the bench.

Robert Snodgrass (£5.3m) makes an immediate return from suspension but Grady Diangana (£4.5m) is not even in the matchday squad.

Got exact money for Kun to Kane with FT. What do we think about also doing Martial to Anderson for -4?

Not unless you have to fund Kane with the second move.

For those mulling over Kun to Kane, this is where I'm at.

I think I'm set to do Aguero to Kane. The injury just makes it easier. Keep in mind he has two away games in a row now which he doesn't fare well in, against Watford and Chelsea respectively. Then home to Everton. Not exactly prime fixtures. Kane just seems obvious to me.

Where I am at too...I would like to see Pep field Sterling in 9, Dilva in 10 and Mahrez and Sane out wide if Kun is out for a while.

    A) Lose one of Wilson or Arnie for Kane
    B) Hazard to Son and Kamara to Kane (-4) and have a weekly benching headache

Pep Guardiola: "I don't know if Sergio Aguero will be fit in midweek. We shall see."

    That's a -4 then.

Muscle injury is risky 3 days from now in cold weather. He needs Kun to win league, Jesus is shockingly poor.

        Sterling as striker, perhaps?

He definitely doesn't need Kun to win the league. I love the guy to death but Jesus is perfectly capable compared to the teams chasing them and Sane/Sterling/D.Silva/KDB/Mahrez more than make up for any shortcomings. They could play with 10 men every game and still have a chance at winning the league.

Seems shocking that I may have a team for 1 week with no ManC attackers, barring a hit.

If bonus pts stay the same I will be looking at 46 with Robertson, TAA, Alonso and Hazard to play. Happy with that. Big danger for me tomorrow though with Salah.
