Finding the best combination of premium FPL options

After the hectic Christmas period, there is no little consensus over which premium Fantasy Premier League options are the best to own.

The problem has been particularly prevalent in midfield and attack with the recent re-emergence of Mohamed Salah (£13.3m) forcing managers to chop and change their more expensive assets to get him back in.

We have decided to take the opportunity of the upcoming break from league action to compare some of the popular players at the dearer end of their classification.

These are Salah, Raheem Sterling (£11.3m), Eden Hazard (£11.1m), Leroy Sané (£9.5m) and Paul Pogba (£8.4m) in midfield with Harry Kane (£12.6m), Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang (£11.4m), Sergio Aguero (£11.2m) and Roberto Firmino (£9.1m) up front.

Using the Fantasy Football Scout members’ area we have weighed these options against each other for various statistics over the last six Gameweeks.

The analysis takes into account their minutes per shots in the box, minutes per efforts on target, creativity and expected data.

We have chosen the period of the last six Gameweeks to factor in the hectic festive period but also to take into account some of the matches before that too.

Those who aren’t currently paid up members could wait until the weekend to pick up a discounted membership for £10 and access this later…

Thinking of getting Moura in for Rich or Martial at gw23, hoping for him to flourish with Son gone. Madness?

Want to get in double Liverpool defence...which is the best option to do so? (2FT, 0.7ITB)

    Fabianski - Button
    Robertson - Alonso - Digne - Doherty - AWB
    Salah – Hazard – Richarlison – Deulefeu – Massaku
    Kane – Wilson – Ings

I want to get rid of Ings and go either Rashford or Arnie. I have cash in the bank and I also have Pogba and Anderson.

I am in need of a 4.4 defender and Southampton ones look interesting as they are cheap and have a good fixture. I don't have an idea what is happening there with the new manager though, any help would be appreciated.

    A) Bednarek (3.9) played all minutes in last 6 GWs, looks a bit YC prone (4 in last 5), anybody has any idea about the pecking order of CBs (assuming Yoshida is back from Asia Cup)?
    B) Valery (4.0) started 4 of last 6, seems like a placeholder for Bertrand, right?
    C) Targett (4.2) played all but last GW for the new manager, dropped for Cedric or rested?
    D) Cedric (4.2) played only last game, was he injured before?

Digne to TAA a no-brainer right? Similar price, similar set-piece threat, but one team is excellent at keeping clean sheets while the other literally can't. Liverpool also have just one tough fixture in the next 10.

Its gets annoying, when Klopp starts playing Clyne, Gomez or even Milner at right back during fixture congestion,
Robbo is much safer, if you have agood bench and don't mind occasional benching, go for TAA.
