Hazard returns to false-nine role ahead of Newcastle meeting

Eden Hazard (£11.1m) returns to his false-nine role for Chelsea as Newcastle come to Stamford Bridge on Saturday evening.

That’s because both Pedro (£6.3m) and Willian (£7.3m) come back into the team to operate as the wide-men in Maurizio Sarri’s 4-3-3 system.

The Blues are as usual both in defence and midfield, with eyes on Marcos Alonso (£6.7m), who lost another 100,000+ owners ahead of the Gameweek 22 deadline.

Hazard and company will be targetting a weak Newcastle central midfield with Jonjo Shelvey (£5.3m) and Mohamed Diame (£4.8m) out, and Ki Sung-yeung (£4.7m) away on international duty.

Lining up in that position are the inexperienced Sean Longstaff (£4.5m) and Isaac Hayden (£4.3m).

Chelsea XI: Kepa; Alonso, D Luiz, Rüdiger, Azpilicueta; Kovacic, Jorginho, Kanté; Willian, Hazard, Pedro.

        Depends how much you want to reinvest. TAA for the best playing option, but like a 3.9 5th def on the bench. AWB is fine as a starter

        Salah C here.
        I turned ON TV and saw Salah missing sitter @ the end of the game. So bit annoyed tbh.
        But happy overall & 3 bps for Mo is not usual so I take that.

        Frustrated: 41 from 6 today despite captaining Auba so good day other than captain.

        It’s hard to look past perma captaining Salah going forwards, just so consistent

              Considered it but Liverpool at home. Not sure. I am sick of changing captains every week too and missing out on hauls. I think if I choose Salah and just keep it as him, he may not get double digits every week but the weeks he does, and the form he is in he invariably will get some, then I will get them when he does.

          If you have those two I’m guessing you have gone for a big 5 in midfield. If that’s the case I would just stick with a cheap bench fodder as 3rd striker and reinvest funds elsewhere
