Fabianski fit to play but Arnautovic misses out through injury

West Ham United take on Liverpool at the London Stadium this evening in the penultimate match of Gameweek 25. Kick-off is at 20:00 GMT.

The injury-hit Hammers will be without Marko Arnautovic (£6.9m) tonight, with Javier Hernandez (£6.1m) being given the nod to lead the line for the home side.

Lukasz Fabianski (£4.8m) has recovered from the arm injury he sustained in the defeat to Wolverhampton Wanderers, though, and maintains his ever-present record in the league this season.

Manuel Pellegrini has also made changes in the full-back positions, with Aaron Cresswell (£5.0m) and Ryan Fredericks (£4.5m) – in for his first Premier League start since Gameweek 4 – earning a recall.

Mohamed Salah (£13.6m), Roberto Firmino (£9.3m) and Sadio Mane (£9.5m) all start up front for Liverpool for the ninth league match in a row.

Jurgen Klopp has made three changes to his starting XI from the side that drew with Leicester City, as Fabinho (£5.5m), James Milner (£5.6m) and Adam Lallana (£6.9m) replace Jordan Henderson (£5.3m), Georginio Wijnaldum (£5.5m) and Xherdan Shaqiri (£7.1m).

Henderson, Wijnaldum and Dejan Lovren (£4.9m) miss out through injury while Shaqiri drops to the bench.

Lallana is making his first league start since the victory over Cardiff City in October.

The reverse fixture of tonight’s match was contested in Gameweek 1, with Liverpool running out 4-0 winners in a game that saw Salah, Mane, Firmino and Andrew Robertson (£6.8m) all deliver attacking returns.

No FPL asset scored more points than Mane on the opening weekend of the campaign.

West Ham United XI (4-2-3-1): Fabianski, Cresswell, Ogbonna, Diop, Fredericks, Rice, Noble, Snodgrass, Anderson, Antonio, Hernández.

Liverpool XI (4-2-3-1): Alisson, Milner, Matip, Van Dijk, Robertson, Fabinho, Keita, Lallana, Salah, Mane, Firmino.

    Mods deleting my posts.

    Let’s reword this.

About 2 weeks ago I posted about how defensively Liverpool at the back had been overperforming and are very “above average”, but no more. City actually look better at the back. Then when you combine value to the pool defenders I really see little or no value.

Are people going to continue with 2 Liverpool defenders?

I think TAA is still worth it when he returns, but even he is far from essential

Haha it may very well come across like that. But I have no premier league allegiance.

I just use eye test and stats and maybe like going against the grain 😉

Got Robbo for 6.0, season keeper for me

To be fair mate if you’ve had him since 6.0 and due to them not blanking you can justify holding to some degree.

However.. joining that wagon at 6.7 is insane for any new owners and I still think a downgrade to TAA if he ever becomes fit may be decent for future WC?

Robbo is so far advanced he is worth it. Having said that, I haven’t found funds to bring him back yet.

TAA is the best value at his price point. Digne, Kola, Pereira, Shaw close but not as good FPL wise.

But you’re lying to yourself if you don’t think there’s value in the double up.

Nah. Anderson is playing well. Liverpool should be marking him out of the game.

Liverpool need to get their game heads on and get up for the fight. Go in hard in those 50/50s and show they are not pushovers.

Someone made a very good point earlier, this game gets played 3pm Sat and Pool slaughter Hammers. After Spurs and City both win, the pressure changes things.

Utter rubbish. It works both ways, City playing Arsenal knowing any loss gives Liverpool the chance to stretch their lead. There’s always pressure at the top, the big boys have to deal with it.

How anyone can assume that Liverpool would play any better on a 3pm kick off rather than MNF is beyond me
