Fixtures

Which FPL players are on international duty ahead of Double Gameweek 32?

A week of international fixtures gets underway today, with Germany and Wales among the countries in action this evening.

This is the final international break of 2018/19 and falls before the biggest Double Gameweek of the season, so there will be a nervy wait for Fantasy managers as we keep our fingers crossed for an injury-free seven days.

This article gives a club-by-club rundown on which assets will be away from their sides during this period, also detailing the dates in which these players will be competing for their respective countries.

There are several high-profile names missing from this list, of course.

Mohamed Salah (£13.3m) won’t be linking up with Egypt, while Aymeric Laporte (£5.9m) and Sergio Aguero (£11.8m) will not be representing their respective countries either.

Alexandre Lacazette (£9.4m) was omitted from the France national squad, while Gonzalo Higuain (£9.6m), like Aguero, wasn’t selected by Argentina head coach Lionel Scaloni.

Marcos Alonso (£6.4m), Cesar Azpilicueta (£6.3m) and Jonny (£4.3m) won’t feature for Spain, meanwhile.

There are a cluster of players whose countries are scheduled to be in action in the early hours of Wednesday March 27 who then face a long-haul flight back from the Americas: Tim Ream (£4.2m), Antonio Valencia (£6.4m), DeAndre Yedlin (£4.5m), Miguel Almiron (£6.0m), Fabian Balbuena (£4.2m), Javier Hernandez (£6.1m) and Raul Jimenez (£6.8m).

It may be, however, that some of those players have been the subject of agreements between club and country to return to the UK before their respective nations’ second fixture over the international break, as has been the case before.

The good news for owners of Argentina and Brazil assets is that those two countries aren’t playing their two international friendlies in South America, although Argentina travel to Morocco on Tuesday.

Sadio Mane (£10.0m) is amongst the popular Fantasy options in action in Africa on Tuesday, while Son Heung-min (£8.6m) will be heading over to Asia for a double-header with South Korea – the second fixture being contested on Tuesday morning (UK time).

I’m back on the Deulofeu over Mili camp. Simply because I don’t see Palace doing much in the way of attacking and we’re paying £6.3m in the hope that a penalty is awarded in 180 minutes of football.

      Disagree.
      He's on all set pieces.
      Great FK taker.
      3 times in dream team
      Bonus points
      He's arguably their best player.
He will definitely play both games.
While Deulofeu - who is an excellent pick - might be rotated for the cup semi.

Its Zaha. Every defender in the PL loves to put a foot in. Penalties not a far reach imo.

To Kane or not to Kane? Feels like A is more balanced but then B has Kane...

    A:
    Kepa
    Lindelof / Jonny / Azpi
    DSilva / Pog / Sterling / Hazard
    Kun / Jimenez / Rash

    B:
    Ederson
    Lindelof / Jonny / Schlupp / AWB
    Mili / Pog / Sterling / Hazard
    Kun / Kane

Which one would you go with?

would taking out one of the palace defenders be a safer choice?

    FH draft team #3

    Ederson
    Luiz, AWB, Boly
    Sterling, Son, Hazard, Pogba, Lingard
    Aguero, Batshuayi

Any changes might make this team a bit better? Ideally want Aguero-Kane up front but really hurts my midfield and defence

I think I wanted more of a differential and preferred Bats/Zaha to Mili but guess Mili + Rash is an alternative to Bats + Lingard I need to consider

The best way to forward your argument in a debate, is to debate against your argument before facing your foe.

Knowing what mud they are going to throw and learning to obfuscate your weaknesses through deflection can be advantageous.

Do we think Haz could be the safest captain choice? As in most likely to play 180 minutes compared with Sterling/Aguero for example?

I think Hazard starts both games. Simply because he's the only player in that team who is world-class imo. Cant do s*** without him, Chelsea's attack at times is simply "pass the ball to Hazard and pray he does something."

I've tried to keep myself from posting my team, because I felt pretty confident, but now I'm thinking I wouldn't mind your advise.
    So here it is:
    Kepa
    Luiz - Young - Laporte
    Sterling (C) - Haz - Pogba - Mili
    Aguero - Rashford - Bats

Any thoughts? Am I missing someone?

3 teams with stand out fixtures so let’s not overthink it. 3 City, 3 Utd and 3 Chelsea, supplemented by 2 Palace. Job done.

    Kepa
    Laporte, Lindelof, AWB
    Sterling(vc), Hazard, Pogba, Mili
    Aguero(c), Higuaín, Rashford

Not keen on Higuain really - ditched him myself in favour of stacking in other places. I think Hazard is enough, with other better value options available in FWD

Initially I had Son and Jiminez over Mili and Higuaín but with the distances being travelled by the former two I went against them.

Some questionable parts I know but what are people’s thoughts on the following? I have 5.2m ITB that can be used in diff places (FH), and undecided on the likes of Deulo, Mili, Doherty...

    DDG
    Laporte Schlupp Doherty
    Sterling Hazard Pogba Deulofeu Milivojevic
    Aguero Rashford

(cheapo bench). Some obvious ones would be CHE defender in for Doherty, Kane for Rashford etc

    Cheers in advance 🙂
