FPL Question Time – Consult our panel after Kane injury

The Fantasy Premier League community is now full of questions concerning one man: Harry Kane (£12.5m).

The Tottenham forward was taken off with a serious-looking injury in Tuesday night’s Champions League win over Manchester City.

He had become the staple of many a Wildcard draft in recent days, but is now unlikely to play in Double Gameweek 34.

That has left Fantasy managers wondering what to do with the spare cash.

Thankfully, we’ve assembled another panel for you to consult in Question Time.

Who’s on the panel this week?

Simon March – Fantasy Premier League champion in 2014/15 and regular guest on the FPL Show.

Ben McNair – One of Australia’s finest Fantasy minds, with four finishes inside the top 5k.

Holly Shand – Founder of Fantasy Football Community and regular guest on the FPL Show.

Hazard at home to Burnley could well match Eriksen/Son in DGW 35

    Thoughts on this WC:

Ryan, Leno (I like Leno because he has good fix in 35, 37, 38 which is when I need him - Ryan good for 34, 36)

    Doherty, Trippier, Robbo, Duffy, Valery

Eriksen, Son, Mane, Pogba/Martial, Camara (who then becomes JWP)

    Kun, Jimenez, Deeney

An alternative is Rashford/Lacazette for Kun, and Sterling/KDB for Pogba/Martial

    Would love to hear opinions!

Spurs points in 4 games Kane missed earlier in season:

    Alli - 9,0,0,0 (injured v Fulham)
    Eriksen - 6,2,3,13
Son - 0,9,11,6 (missed Fulham for Asia Cup)
    Llorente - 0,12,4,5
    Moura - 0,1,1,0

Am I the only one without Sterling and Kun for WC? Have a feeling neither will start this weekend, especially Kun since he's back from injury and City have the CL game to chase

Would love some input on my wc team.

    Lloris - Foster
    Laporte - TAA - Duffy - Montoya - Doherty
    Salah - KDB - Eriksen - Son - Hojbjerg
    Vardy - Deeney - Jimenez

I really put a lot of thought in City assets and decided to go with KDB. I believe he has the most chance to be involved in City returns and if he stays fit he should start a lot of games and for that price I think he is the best choice in midfield.

Vardy could become Rashford for Manu doubles depending how he pass eye test until then.

    What do you reckon guys?
    My post-Kane effort.

    Ryan
    Duffy(C), Doherty, TAA
    Mane, Sterling, Haz, Camarasa, Son
    Aguero, Murray

    Foster, Jimi, Valery, Holebas

    Cama becoming JWP for 35.

    1. Robson-Canoe
      • 8 Years
      4 years, 11 months ago

Is Holebas nailed? I'm also not convinced that Murray will start all four games, between 2-3 imo.

Kane was my striker who I thought would get all minutes he could.
I'm not sure there's someone now I want enough who will get all minutes... and if Murray get 2-3 that's likely as much as anyone else. Plus, weak opposition. It's a risk but I know if I go Laca he'll end up benched for Auba! 😐 At least this way I get money to spend elsewhere! 🙂

I'm back on Haz just because Kane's injury meant I could drop Kane to Murray and I upgraded a random to Haz.
Haz probably isn't going to do me many favours in the next week or two but is probably useful for the run in. He wants that move to Madrid and might be motivated to grab some goals.

Hey guys, what would you do to this lot? 1 FT 0.4 ITB (only BB left)

    Ryan
    Robbo Pereira Bednarek
    Hazard Sterling Mané Fraser
    Agüero(C) Lacazette Jimenez

    Boruc Hayden AWB Diop

I'm tempted by Son, but 1) I don't see who I should sell for him 2) I'm not convinced he will start this weekend.
Should I just save the transfer in order to have 2 FT's for the DGW?

Definitely not nailed no. They have 3 excellent CBs so one doesn’t play when they go in with a back 4

Losing Sterling for a hit doesn't seem like a good idea.

I was just about to post exactly the same. My thoughts:

      A) Will he play both? And hardly prolific, nah.

      B) Would be first choice but I just can't see Poch starting him against Hud, he is absolutely vital for the 2nd leg and the run-in, if there was ever a game which seems a gimmee even with Llorente chugging about up front, it's this one.

      C) My preferred choice, think he'll start, do some damage and come off.

      D) My second choice. Think he'll start but he's not looking so sharp and Palace are no pushovers at home.

Looking at fixtures I'm really considering not having attacking City assets. High risk or rotation against Palace following a though CL match.

Two very difficult DW fixtures. Another tricky trip to Burnley after.

Just going to get Laporte for nailedness and call it a day for City.

I think tough DWG is exactly why Kun is worth it. Pep won't play Jesus.
