FPL Question Time – Consult our panel after Kane injury

The Fantasy Premier League community is now full of questions concerning one man: Harry Kane (£12.5m).

The Tottenham forward was taken off with a serious-looking injury in Tuesday night’s Champions League win over Manchester City.

He had become the staple of many a Wildcard draft in recent days, but is now unlikely to play in Double Gameweek 34.

That has left Fantasy managers wondering what to do with the spare cash.

Thankfully, we’ve assembled another panel for you to consult in Question Time.

Who’s on the panel this week?

Simon March – Fantasy Premier League champion in 2014/15 and regular guest on the FPL Show.

Ben McNair – One of Australia’s finest Fantasy minds, with four finishes inside the top 5k.

Holly Shand – Founder of Fantasy Football Community and regular guest on the FPL Show.

Double Liverpool and double man city defense, g2g? (at least until the pressers)

    Ederson Gunn
    Laporte TAA Robbo Trippier Duffy
    Son Eriksen Doucoure JWP Mane
    Deeney Kun Jimmy

I like Laporte still but surely Lloris is a better option that Ederson?

I have three spurs already, I do want a double man city defense, so it sort of has to be Ederson and Laporte due to nailness alone

Here you go. Rip it apart please:

    Lloris, Gunn
    Laporte, Robbo, Doherty, Duffy, Valery
    Haz, Mané, KdB, Son, Jota
    Vardy, Rashford, Deeney

Vardy + Rash could become Firmino + Jimenez when needed.

    0.4m to change it around.

Rash is very unlikely to play both games in the double with the niggled he’s had for a while now. Probably avoid IMO and go straight for Jim

I really want to keep Salah, however, this set-up is tempting leaving 0.0 ITB!

    Ryan
    Laporte Duffy Dunk
    Sterling Eriksen Son Mane
    Aguero Jimenez Deeney

    Foster Robbo JWP Valery

I’m not sure on the double spurs mids with no Kane. Not as many goals in that team now so just Son IMO

I personally prefer Jota and the Salah upgrade but it’s can see it’s hard to argue that. It’s the spurs double in 35 where I wouldn’t want both Son and Erik

Two teams for WC GW 34 then BB GW 35

    A TEAM (Leaves 3.2M ITB)
    Ryan
    Robbo Duffy Dunk
    Salah Sterling Son Pogba
    Kun Jimmi Vardy

    Foster Doherty Valery Hejbj

    B TEAM (Leaves .4M ITB)
    Ryan
    Robbo Duffy Dunk
    Eriksen Sterling Son Jota
    Kun Jimmi Vardy

    Foster Doherty Valery JWP

Leaning towards Team A as it provides more flexabillity to swap players from Pool and Man U

    Would appreciate any thoughts.

I agree with this, Trippier does have more upside and should be considered as long as you have a bench. For example, if he is rested vs Hudds this weekend, i'll have Deeney come in which i am more than fine with

I'm not on a WC and these two players won't be coming in until next week (my choice, however, does influence this week's plans). So Trippier rotation this week wouldn't be a problem.

Well last night changed the landscape on things! Kane, Aguero, Deeney conundrum solved...

Wildcard active, BB DGW35, 4.5m ITB

    Ryan
    Doherty Duffy(c) Robbo
    Salah KdB Son CAMARASA
    Jimenez Aguero Deeney

    Foster JWP Valery Bennett

    a Camarasa + 4.5m for DGW35 transfer & JWP for BB
    b Eriksen & Hojberg BB
    c Pogba & JWP BB

Can't decide on Camarasa. Worth a punt for DGW, then out for a DGW35 player? Means booking in a transfer which I never like on a wildcard. Or go with someone else? I'm a little worried having sold Pogba and Rashford with West Ham looming. Could get Pogba back? And hold JWP? Or even go as is, and get Hazard back for GW36?

And I'd go for Lloris/Gunn. You'll play Lloris most weeks so no need to be tempted otherwise.

Thanks. I think you may be right about Gunn. Wanted Ryan for the first double but likely they'll be nothing in it between him and Lloris.
