Son and Trippier benched as Eriksen starts for Spurs

Son Heung-min (£8.7m) and Kieran Trippier (£6.0m) are among the benched players for Spurs in their Double Gameweek 34 fixture.

With already-relegated Huddersfield coming to north London, Mauricio Pochettino has taken this opportunity to start Fernando Llorente (£5.1m) and Kyle Walker-Peters (£4.2m) in their place.

Christian Eriksen (£9.3m) has held onto his place in the side and without Trippier should have a greater involvement in set pieces.

Also, with Son on the bench and Harry Kane (£12.6m) injured, it is possible the Danish international could be taking the penalties too.

Ben Davies (£5.6m) comes in for Danny Rose (£5.8m) at left-back, while Juan Foyth (£5.0m) starts alongside Jan Vertonghen (£5.9m) and Davinson Sánchez (£5.8m) so that Toby Alderweireld (£6.0m) can have a rest on the bench.

Huddersfield have lined themselves up in a 4-5-1 formation with Karlan Grant (£5.0m) leading the line. He has two goals in his last two away trips.

Chris Löwe (£4.4m) and Jon Stankovic (£3.9m) are both playing out of position in midfield.

Spurs XI: Lloris, Walker-Peters, Sanchez, Vertonghen, Foyth, Davies, Sissoko, Eriksen, Moura, Wanyama, Llorente

Huddersfield XI: Hamer; Durm, Kongolo, Schindler, Hadergjonaj; Löwe, Stankovic, Hogg, Bacuna, Kachunga; Grant.

He had a lot of rest earlier in the season and doesn't do as much running as Son. But still, if Spurs do go through in the CL there's a v good chance he gets a rest somewhere in the PL.

Yeah it's possible but don't know if I'd call it a good chance, and iirc that rest was injury enforced...

Went for Moura as Cap over Son.

And Lloris in defence. So far so good, let’s hope they deliver. Poche roulette is real.

Can see Moura coming off for Son. Llorente 90 mins today. Then Poch plays Moura, Son, Eriksen, Alli, Winks and Sissoko against City in the CL. Gives them mobility and pace on the counter attack.

Have you tried playing one of the games where you pick a team of 11 at the start of the season and that's it - no subs, no transfers, no chips? Once you get over the initial frustration of not being able to change your team it is a lot less stressful than FPL.

Not tried that yet just purely due to cash leagues.
I mean, i’m happy with rank and all and leading all my ML’s, but the fun factor is just sucked out of this game now tbh.
If i’ll tey that method, it’ll be next season for a laugh 🙂

sounds like a painful way of playing. Imagine aubameyang on a hot streak but you can't transfer an injured aguero.

It can be but it also benefits experienced FPL players IMO because we tend to know which players will rack up a lot of points over the course of a season, even if they are too streaky or frequently injured for FPL purposes. For example I've never owned Siggy in FPL this season but if you check his history you know he's going to be in the top 8 midfielders every season and will cost less than the other 7.

So, Son captaincy for DGW35 looking good? He surely starts at home to Brighton now.

My thoughts exactly. Surely he's ready to start in mostof the heavy run-in

There will be someone who punted on Walker-Peters or even Foyth before getting in a Watford/Soton defender next week. Where are you?

The top of my ML looks pretty Brighton heavy. One of my closest rivals even have 500% EO of Brighton def, while I settled for 100%.

Bound to beat me this week, but hopefully it will even out at bit in the coming weeks. Right?
