Pressure on Wolves assets after Son red card at Bournemouth

A red card for Son Heung-min (£8.8m) in Saturday’s early kick-off has increased the pressure on Wolves assets at 3pm.

The South Korean international was the most-owned midfielder in the top 10k for Gameweek 37 and his score of -2 will have been keenly felt.

For that reason, it will be of encouraging news to managers in the upper echelon of the game that Raúl Jiménez (£7.0m) and Diogo Jota (£6.3m) have both survived rotation fears for Wolves’ latest fixtures.

The two players are in 91.5% and 52.2% of top 10k teams respectively and both start up front against Fulham this afternoon.

In fact, the Wolves team is in decent shape for this match despite some suggestions of changes.

Rui Patricio (£4.5m) keeps his place in goal despite Nuno Espirito Santo’s claims he wanted to give Will Norris (£3.9m) some game-time before the end of the campaign.

Other Fantasy favourites Matt Doherty (£5.4m) and Jonny (£4.3m) are also in the starting line-up.

In the other 3pm match, there is some disappointment for those invested in Southampton players.

Both Nathan Redmond (£5.4m) and James Ward-Prowse (£5.1m) have been named on the bench for the Saints’ trip to West Ham.

However, both Danny Ings (£5.4m) and Gameweek 37 differential Shane Long (£4.7m) both start up front.

There is also a rare start for Fraser Forster (£4.2m), who comes in for his first Premier League appearance since 2017.

Interest in West Ham and Fulham has now reached a relatively low point so their players are unlikely to have much of a say in how Saturday afternoon goes for Fantasy managers.

Michail Antonio (£6.8m) leads the Hammers’ line while Marko Arnautovic (£6.7m), Grady Diangana (£4.5m) and Manuel Lanzini (£6.4m) line-up in attacking midfield.

Fulham are without Denis Odoi (£4.4m) after he suffered a concussion last week, and they continue with their usual front three of Aleksandar Mitrovic (£6.3m) flanked by Ryan Sessegnon (£6.0m) and Ryan Babel (£5.6m).

West Ham XI: Fabianski; Fredericks, Balbuena, Diop, Masuaku; Obiang, Noble; Arnautovic, Lanzini, Diangana; Antonio.

Southampton XI: Forster; Valery, Bednarek, Stephens, Bertrand; Armstrong, Lemina, Højbjerg, Elyounoussi; Long, Ings.

Wolves XI: Patricio; Boly, Coady, Bennett; Jonny, Neves, Moutinho, Dendoncker, Doherty; Jota, Jiménez.

Fulham XI: Rico; Bryan, Ream, Le Marchand, Christie; Cairney, Chambers, Anguissa; Sessegnon, Mitrovic, Babel.

May 2019: Lincoln already won the league, just need *not* to lose by 3+ to Colchester (H) and Exeter will reach play offs with a draw. Guess the score ffs

You know the way there's Murphy's law, there should be a new law coined for fantasy football which describes the situation where you have a player up against really weak opposition so you expect a haul, only for that player to do absolutely nothing.
