The Fantasy Football Scout community enjoyed a season of largely reliable captaincy decisions in 2018/19.
As you can see from the table below, across the 38 Gameweeks, the winner of the Captain Poll secured attacking returns on 28 occasions.

The 38 different captaincies accumulated for a total of 270 points, the highest being Sergio Aguero‘s (£12.0m) 20-point haul in Gameweek 2, the lowest Paul Pogba‘s (£8.6m) -1 in Gameweek 29.
That averaged out at 7.1 points per Gameweek across the season.
Aguero proved to be the most popular with the masses this season, as he won our captain poll on 13 different occasions.
His longest streak of victories was between Gameweeks 4 and 7 when he won it four times in a row, returning each time.
Close behind Aguero was Mohamed Salah (£13.3m) who was chosen by Scout voters as the best captain candidate on 10 different occasions.
Harry Kane (£12.6m) was the people’s choice for five of the 38 Gameweeks, including his ill-fated Gameweek 8 meeting with Cardiff, in which he failed to score and was booked for a one-point return.
Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang (£10.8m), Eden Hazard (£11.0m) and Raheem Sterling (£11.7m) all won the poll twice, with mixed success rates.
Meanwhile, Sadio Mané (£10.3m), Pogba, Richarlison (£6.4m) and Son Heung-min (£8.6m) all came away from the 2018/19 season with one vote win each.
Of those four, Mané was the only one to score more than four points in the week they were the most popular captain pick.
The way you voted in the 2018/19 largely coincided with how our Scout Squad and Scout Picks panels thought too.
This season, only on three occasions was there a player who won the captain poll but were denied entry into the Scout Picks.
They were Aubameyang for the Gameweek 16 visit of Huddersfield to Arsenal, Aguero in Double Gameweek 25 and the Manchester City forward again on the final day of the season.
The most popular captain in an individual Gameweek this year was Aguero in Gameweek 7 ahead of Manchester City hosting Brighton.
The forward pulled in a 60% share of the vote, a huge amount considering the average percentage share of a winning candidate this year was 37.4%.
The Citizens actually only won by a 2-0 scoreline that week, with the forward scoring once before coming off in the 65th minute.
The candidate with the lowest winning score was Pogba in Gameweek 29.
Just 23.2% of the voters selected him as their best choice for the visit of Southampton to Old Trafford and were punished by that -1 score.
