Departures could hurt Crystal Palace’s FPL assets this season

An examination of last season’s underlying statistics suggests that the new campaign could prove tough for Crystal Palace.

The Eagles have already lost Aaron Wan-Bissaka (£5.5m) to Manchester United and other clubs continue to sniff around important attacking asset Wilfried Zaha (£7.0m).

Whether they would be able to cope without the pair is certainly a key question that Fantasy managers should be considering this summer.

As we resume our Numbers Game series, we take a look at the defensive and offensive numbers for Roy Hodgson’s players both as a team and individually to assess their credentials as Fantasy assets in 2019/20.

As this article uses data from the Fantasy Football Scout Members Area, only those who are signed up for the season can access it in full.

The original Fantasy League game is back for the 2019/20 season – PLAY HERE!

Sterling is on a different plane to all of these in my opinion. You could free up 0.5 elsewhere to get in Perez over Trossard.

I am about 80% sure its Zouma, but he would have to really impress to keep Rudiger out once he comes back, so it feels a bit short term. Cant seem to find a return date for him though

Finally finished, only downside really is having to start one of Dendoncker/Kelly/Lundstram but hoping the fixture rotation helps with this:

    Pope
    TAA | VVD | Dunk
    Salah | Sterling | BSilva | Perez | Dendoncker
    Kane | King

    Button | Kelly | Lundstram | Greenwood

    Thoughts?

    Thanks!

I like it. Personally I prefer 3 good playing defenders than playing a 4.5 every gameweeks.
So for instance I have Vert as 3rd defender with TAA and AWB

Pretty good. I think having Dedoncker plus that bench will catch up on you pretty quickly though. You may have to sacrifice one of your big hitters. I'd be inclined to only have two. Good luck.

Who is robinson? You sure Kane will give you a goal and 2bonus minimum every match? As 2 mids with 2pointers each. That will only match Laporte + Fraser + Wilson if just one returns. Never go premium forward atleast early on and I learned the hardway by costing 60points and title chance with Kun vs Sterling last season captaincy incl

As I said above, Robinson is looking very dangerous and will start as a striker.
It just seems like everyone here is against premium forwards - not sure why. Kane will score lots of points this season, and is nailed for every game.

Kean has scored 12 goals in 41 club appearances

Citroen has scored 27 goals in 90 club appearances

Not much in it ratio wise although I reckon Kean has probably played fewer minutes, but in a much stronger team.

I think the biggest worry early doors is their Europa League qualifying fixtures.

      Aug 1st , they've the 2nd leg of game on (they've a 2-0 lead).
Aug 8th Qualifying Round 3 is on,
Aug 11th away at Leicester GW1,
      Aug 15th QR3 2nd leg,
Aug 19th home to Man Utd GW2,
Aug 22nd (should they get through QR3) is Play-Off 1
Aug 24th home to West Ham GW3
      Aug 29th Play-off 2
Sept 1st Away at Everton GW4

That's a hell of a lot of fixtures to start the season off with and they certainly have the quality to get through their Europa League rounds. Rotation is necessary to navigate that run.

Bilva should be scoring way more than he does - he plays in the same position as Sterling/Sane/Mahrez but just isnt ruthless enough - was the same at Monaco. Great player in real life but doesnt translate to FPL.

      Points per 90 last year:
      Sterling 7.60
      Sane 7.56
      Mahrez 6.90
KdB 5.49 (coming back from injury would expect him to revert to his historical avg of 6)
      Bilva 4.86

I'd choose A with Son, in terms of the 9.5 bracket who scores more heavily and should be pretty nailed this year.
      Sane (7.56) > Son (7.04) > Jesus (6.99) > KdB (6ish) > Laca (5.98) > Bobby (5.53).

I know. But the upside is no more Saturday morning captaincy angst. Sterling and Salah - bound to get it wrong. Sterling every week - it will work out just fine.... And just thinking about the 30+ point hauls from the Liverpool defence with a cleanie and a few assists / BP's - for a fraction of the price point of Salah. (Though the pain when Liverpool concede a muppetational last minute consolation will be awful)

How did Kane look? I've got him in my team at the moment but the 2.0 that Vardy frees up his huge and I'm getting tempted

Looked okay. Pre season goals been very lucky. Not sure i’d Spend 11m on him until Son is Playing with him in PL, at which point son would be the better pick imo

Good. I might be inclined to have Wilson for the first two games and then switch to Vardy. Good luck

I would try and improve bench. Perhaps sacrifice siggy digne or Laporte. Or all a little

I was advocating for Kane last week when it wasn't popular. Ahead of the curve as usual.

Yes but if he does well I want a pass on fee. 20 percent of all profits .

You really need two of those 4.0s to play

        That team doesn’t look 100m!

Why? 10 solid starters every gw and 1 4m def invariably will have a decent fixture.

I have made a few plans to catch the fixture swings.

Fairly happy with my team, but i just want to know your opinion on this:

Is it worth downgrading digne & walker to coleman & zinchenko to to perez > moura?

      Sterling - Martial - Moura - Perez
      Auba - Rashford

Only bench fodder but a bonus if he plays the first game. Wesley would come in for him anyway.
