Leicester differentials could reward investment in 2019/20

Leicester City’s squad could provide Fantasy Premier League managers with some powerful differentials in the early part of 2019/20.

Probably because of uninspiring opening fixtures, none of Brendan Rodgers’ players is owned by more than 13.7% ahead of Gameweek 1.

However, there is enough in the underlying statistics from last year to suggest the Foxes could enjoy Rodgers’ first full season at the helm.

As this article uses data Fantasy Football Scout Members Area, only those who are signed up for the 2019/20 can access it in full.

Will have to upgrade Zinchenko to Walker or Laporte but not sure yet where to find the extra funds from so this is definitely just a draft with Zinchenko being a placeholder for a City defender.

Yes just put this together. Didn’t know where to spend the .5 but I think I’ll upgrade Rico and have Ryan instead.

I had Ryan before but I'm worried as their defence was bad last season and the new coach is much more attacking minded so maybe few Cleansheets

No chips or captain. Subs work the same. You can get any players that aren’t on your team but if more than one player requests to get the same player it goes to the team ranked lower

Any help would be appreciated 🙂

    Fab - Pope
    Robbo - Coleman - Zin - (Dunk - *Targett)
    Salah - Sterling - Pulisic - Siggy - *Perez
    Adams - *King - (Wickham)

Going with cheap forwards as I find more value in having better midfielders and already have 2 heavy hitters...

    However, considering some options:

    1. Downgrade Perez. Upgrade King To Haller/Jimenez/etc.
    2. Swap Perez for Fornals.
    3. Any better options for 4.5m than Targett and Dunk?

    Much appreciated!

Very irregular imo. Strong with the weak, weak with the strong.
Do you know his stats from pre-season? I haven’t followed a single Watford game.

    2. Klaren

Deulofeu had a great season last year and has relatively good starting fixtures.

Martial has looked good in pre-season, also didn't have a bad season last time. He is priced relatively low at 7.5 partly due to rotation threat but Sanchez doesn't seem likely to feature at least in the early stages of the season so likely to start most games.

I don't have either one myself in my current draft but both seem like quite decent choices to me.

      1. The Seagulls and the Trawle…

Deulofeu had great games last season, no doubt. But maybe 5-6 of them, including Cup ties. But far from a great season imo.

Martial has proven that mentally he cannot make that last step to be consistent at the highest level. And i do not see what has changed.

I used to love those players, maybe that (disappointment) is the reason for me not believing their hype.

Two of the biggest talents of their generation.

Avoid using too many transfers and catch price falls and rises. When you wildcard late into the season it'll help. I didn't pay attention last year and my rank suffered, I was too complacent.

      - Don't take many hits (-4 transfers). They add up quickly.
      - if no major needs in the team, then roll over your free transfer so the following week you have 2 transfers. It allows for better tweaking.
      - don't pull the trigger too quickly on your Wildcard . If the first couple of weeks the team doesn't do too well, don't get desperate.
      - go to the team selection and sort players by team selected by %... See what players are indispensables. You'll want 'some' of these players because if 50% of teams have certain players and he has a really

KWP will not play when Aurier is fit maybe a few gameweeks in.
Perez has tough fixtures, Leicester have nicer fixtures GW7.
Rotation of Goalkeepers is a waste of 0.5m IMO, Burnley GK will rack up 2 or 3 points against decent sides maybe not City or Lpool.
a good 5.0m option for KWP would be Zouma IF he is resigned by Everton
the 0.5m saved from keepers could upgrade ur Perez to a Zaha, who will be playing for Palace or Everton who both have nice early fixtures.

People are huge fans of Wilson on this site and rightly so. Way better than King. But King + Ederson will get more points than 4.5 GK + Wilson imo.

Lloris scored 40 more pts than any GK currently listed at 4.5.

              Ederson scored 65 more.

Do you think Wilson will outscore King by 65 pts?
              Thats the direct comparison.

If you take Lloris (semiconductors case) into consideration you need to add the difference between Jota and Wesley too in terms of how many points Wilson has to score.

You then add the points he got from the CS in was IT one or two of them?

All in All its a Lot of points you can't expect Pope, Heaton nor Henderson will get

But Pope & Heaton have already gotten 150’s in the past as we established... Etheridge & Fabianski both smashed it at 4.5 last season

Hendo, Pope, Heaton could all easily do the same this year

Only looking at the ‘’available 4.5’s’’ misses all of this

The 2 seasons before last burnley keepers scored 150 points. They were poor in the first half of last season, largely due to Europa, but were better in the second half

No, Hart did ok due to pks, the season was f'd for keepers despite % of Heat.

Hadn’t realized Heston did poorly as well. Their defense was much better in the second half of the season though. We’re 8 best for big chances conceded.

Why won't he score as well for Villa? Villa better defence you think? The response was me saying Heaton would probably outscore Lloris which he has done every full season he plays. Injury affected last 2

Those two seasons were WONDER seasons for Burnley. I just can't see them repeating that. Especially with VAR

Anyone else slightly concerned that Digne can't justify his 6.0 pricetag after Gueye has left Everton? I'm worried they will concede too much goals

I got a little follow up ABC (might have slipped in a D and E... And F as well my bad)

    A) KDB + Digne (4-4-2)
    B) Siggy + Bilva (3-5-2)
    C) Pogba + Moura/Martial (3-5-2)
    D) Rashford + Moura
    E) Vardy + Zaha (3-4-3)
    F) Wilson + Siggy/Bilva (3-4-3)

Obviously Moura / Martial can replace any + 8.0 option and leave 0.5 itb.

I'm starting to think Maddison might be a better pick than Vardy if the extra cash is redistributed wisely.

    Yay or nay?

Id always pick vardy over Madison

        My reasoning is:
        1. It's arguable that we have seen/are seeing the best of Vardy, so that 9.0 price tag is not value at all, there is no room for him to improve, the same cannot be said of Maddison.
        2. By PPG, they are almost the same if you discount for price.
        3. I know people don't put much stock in it, but Maddison has a significantly higher ICT (30%) more.
        4. Leicester's fixtures aren't great for the opening few weeks so having 7 mil tied up one of their assets is more prudent than having 9.

Feel free to shoot this all down, I genuinely have not made up my mind.

Your logic is reasonable but do you think Vardy will decline and Maddison will improve this season?

And I think even if Vardy declines that won't help Maddison improve!

Fair point. I don't necessarily think that Vardy will decline, just that he's unlikely to move up to an Aubameyang level of output, whereas Maddison has every chance of matching say, Fraser of Siggy, and punching above his price.

It’s a “nay” from me - Vardy has 10G 1 A in 11 games since Puel was sacked.... his manager seems to love him and has also pretty much said they’re going all out attack this year

More to come from young master Vardy I reckon 🙂

Vardy will receive both more and higher quality passes this year. Basically the Leicester pie is much bigger, to the benefit of all. A combo of Vardy + a Fox midfielder should prove a winner.
