FPL Question Time – Consult our panel ahead of Gameweek 1

FPL Question Time returns for the 2019/20 campaign and we are inviting Fantasy Football Scout users to submit their questions ahead of Friday’s Gameweek 1 deadline.

Be it premium midfielders, ‘big six’ assets, five at the back, £4.0m options or any other subject you’re musing on, be sure to ask your question via the Google Form below.

As per last season, we have recruited the services of some familiar names from our site and on social media to share their opinion on the subjects you raise.

Who’s on the panel this week?

FPL General – Contributor to the Scout site who has three finishes inside the top 400 in the last five seasons and who has a huge following on Twitter. General – aka Mark – also appeared on the official FPL Show last season.

Who Got the Assist? – Tom and Nick run one of Twitter’s most active Fantasy accounts and run their very own blog, also producing an excellent regular podcast.

FPL Family – Lee and Sam run the popular Fantasy podcast and Twitter account. They were guests on the FPL Show last season.

Ted / Rotation’s Alter Ego – Moderator and the site’s recently appointed Assistant Community Manager. Ted finished 633rd in the world last season.

James / HamezMace  – A long-term member of and frequent poster to the Fantasy Football Scout site.

Tom / avfc82 – A long-term member of and frequent poster to the Fantasy Football Scout site. Tom has a remarkable five top 1,000 finishes to his name in ten years of playing FPL.

      Would not double up Leicester midfield. Get 6/6.5 m forward (Ings or Wesley) to play alongside Wilson and go 4-4-2 if I was you and have .5 m to upgrade KWP to 5.5 m defender

      Locadia in perilous danger if Maupay signs. i don't know this but it is highly likely he'd make way before Murray would. Have seen better SSK's but your defence and mid is good it is just locadia stinking the place up. Also please believe me Rico is by far a sperioir and nailed alternative to Lundstram. He has no place in Wilder's 5212

          Freeman as a CAM in easy games they want to score in. Lundstram been a proper blunder last few pre season games fans really frustrated. May get minutes in tough games where it is relentless defending eg vs pool, city, arsenal or as a sub holding a lead. Tho fans will tell you he doesn't even do that well

            Lundstram apparently played well in all pre-season games except the last one. Also, when we lose, almost everyone criticises Lundstram, regardless of whether he's done much wrong. He's a classic scapegoat

                I don’t fear that at all. Daniels was fit to play a whole game so why would he not play with first team if first choice? Yeah Fraser did. Was first choice wingers in a second choice team. Rico’s team had Wilson and king along with a second choice midfield

          Problem is i like walker and not zinchenko. Cancelo signing may make this decision for you. Stones looks nailed as RCB however and i like his goal threat and BAPS potential. I feel like that is the only way you can go really. Play Rico vs SHU over Wesley GW1 then away you go i think that will be a good SSK

        Yeah i'd thought long and hard about Bournemouth, and i just never really know how consistent they'll be across the board, so hot and cold. I was against 3 big hitters at first but the allure was tto much in the end haha

      Are you concerned with not captaining one of SSK very often (probably Kane). My logic was that he would only be my captain in gw9 all things being even. [Obviously this would change if he hit superb form or Sterling or Salah were playing crap]

        Well this is a factor i've thought about, but i suppose i'd feel safer having Kane regardless of captain in case he does start with a bang, and then if not then easier to downgrade.

          Yeah, I dont think you have anything to worry about with Liverpool fullbacks in terms of going forward. Even if Robbo has been a bit quiet in preseason he will get plenty of assists.

      I'm starting to get cold feet on siggy although he's still in my team at the mo. 1 goal in 4 games from them (even if it's only preseason) isn't ideal.

      I have the idea Kane is gonna suit a 4231, where he can be the target for offensive players behind him. In this moment Poch is playing more a 4312, with Kane flanked by Moura (or Son) and I see him coming towards the midfield to create spaces for the other forward or even midfielders (Ndombele, Lamela, Eriksen)

      Sissoko is just not fpl material. Transfers will play a major part in whether lamela will be a short lived bandwagon.

      Gomez will get some game time at RB I think while pushing Matip for CB spot.

    I'm Italian and had not the possibility to watch the CS on tv, so I was looking for player ratings on the internet, just to get some useful information for my FPL team. It is really funny and interesting to see the deep differences among british online newspapers (Telegraph, Manchester Echo, Sun) and even italian ones. The main differences I noticed were as follow:
    - TAA: disaster for the Italians and Manchester newspaper, average for the others
    - Zinchenko: in Italy he's "not ready yet for this level", in England almost the best City defender

      TAA was awful (Liverpool fan).
      Zinch did look a little out of his depth but he won't be up against Salah every week.
