FPL Question Time – Consult our panel ahead of Gameweek 1

FPL Question Time returns for the 2019/20 campaign and we are inviting Fantasy Football Scout users to submit their questions ahead of Friday’s Gameweek 1 deadline.

Be it premium midfielders, ‘big six’ assets, five at the back, £4.0m options or any other subject you’re musing on, be sure to ask your question via the Google Form below.

As per last season, we have recruited the services of some familiar names from our site and on social media to share their opinion on the subjects you raise.

Who’s on the panel this week?

FPL General – Contributor to the Scout site who has three finishes inside the top 400 in the last five seasons and who has a huge following on Twitter. General – aka Mark – also appeared on the official FPL Show last season.

Who Got the Assist? – Tom and Nick run one of Twitter’s most active Fantasy accounts and run their very own blog, also producing an excellent regular podcast.

FPL Family – Lee and Sam run the popular Fantasy podcast and Twitter account. They were guests on the FPL Show last season.

Ted / Rotation’s Alter Ego – Moderator and the site’s recently appointed Assistant Community Manager. Ted finished 633rd in the world last season.

James / HamezMace  – A long-term member of and frequent poster to the Fantasy Football Scout site.

Tom / avfc82 – A long-term member of and frequent poster to the Fantasy Football Scout site. Tom has a remarkable five top 1,000 finishes to his name in ten years of playing FPL.

      I’m between Hayden and Stephens, as I don’t think Dendo offers significantly more threat (based on stats, not eye test), and I think he’s more likely to be rotated. Leaning towards Stephens, as better fixtures until first WC.

      Was one of the best performers at the end of last season. He no longer seems to want to move south. Bruce had him at Hull. Don't expect more than 2 points each week, but a decent bench player.

    I didn't watch too much of the game. What's caused so many people to get on the KdB bandwagon? He didn't get any returns, or from what the small highlights showed any big chances

    I was very hyped about KdB going into the season as 3rd premium (still trying to fit him in, but leaning more on Kane), but was he looking as good as he ever was (like those 16-point return days?)

      Was at the game and I don't think KDB was great from a FPL view. His passes are pleasing on the eye but he didn't do anything worthy of hype.

      Statistically Joelinton performs and should do well, just too many unknowns on how Bruce will use him and the systems

      Joelinton has looked decent in preseason and Arsenal's defence isn't the greatest. Maybe there are other 6.0 strikers with better fixtures, but they're all punts at the minute.

    I'm Italian and had not the possibility to watch the CS on tv, so I was looking for player ratings on the internet, just to get some useful information for my FPL team. It is really funny and interesting to see the deep differences among british online newspapers (Telegraph, Manchester Echo, Sun) and even italian ones. The main differences I noticed were as follow:
    - TAA: disaster for the Italians and Manchester newspaper, average for the others
    - Zinchenko: in Italy he's "not ready yet for this level", in England almost the best City defender
    - Otamendi: rated 8 in Italy, a mistake waiting to happen in England
    - Sterling: wasteful in England, beast in Italy
    - Salah: viceversa

    There was only agreement about good VVD's and Walker's performances.

    So I ask you, people of FFS, where's the truth???

      Maupay signing will kill it but he has been in the front 3 of the last couple of Brightoon's pre season friendlies alongside trossard and murray. I think locadia misses out over murray for Maupay but i am not sure yet

    I'm wondering if Zouma is the best of the 5.0 defender bunch. KWP & Maitland-Niles both seem like great short term punts but they're also transfers waiting to happen.

    With Zouma you can just play Rico in GW1, then the Chelsea fixtures are sweet after that.
