The jury is still out on Manchester United’s Fantasy assets going into the new campaign.

The new manager bounce that the club experienced after Ole Gunnar Solskjaer’s appointment in December gave way to some middling form in the final nine Gameweeks of the season.

Their pre-season results (five wins from six) have been quietly encouraging, at least, with Inter Milan and Spurs among the teams already beaten in July.

This latest Numbers Game piece differs from the usual format as we focus on the impact Solskjaer had on United’s assets in the second half of last season.

The Norwegian first took charge of the Red Devils in Gameweek 18, so we will examine United’s stats before and after the departure of Jose Mourinho.

    Dendonckers Big chances and shots on targets were pretty good since he nailed a spot in midfield for wolves. Very surprising :).. Not starter material but quite happy to have him on my bench now

    Opinions on my team? Dont like having 4-5-1 tbh but don't really don't fancy any of the cheaper strikers & only Kane of the premium strikers is really appealing to me right now and seems I have to change my team too much to fit him in.. Plus as far as i'm concerned right now Sterling, Salah, Moura, Perez & Martial are all basically strikers anyway!

      I'd probably start Fraser over Martial but it's fine either way.

    OK so I've been looking at some non-templatey guys for my 4th mid.

    Thoughts on Daniel Owen James? How safe is he in his wing-position?

    Thoughts on Chamberlain? Is he remotely worth buying for the occasional swap-in min 80 goal?

    Hi Guys,

    Anyone got any suggestions for the below? Pulling hair out, not happy with it but cant figure out what it is

      1) Seems fine!
      2) They rotate very nicely, I'm considering going Heaton/4.0 though as villa have some great fixtures.
      3) I prefer not having that much value on the bench personally.

      This is very close to my team.
      I have same keepers, same mid, and have Wilson/Jota/Rodriguez up front.
      I have VVD, Laporte, AWB in defence.

      I do like your team though. I'd probably try to get Wood in instead of Rodriguez if I can.

    Seeing a lot of Heaton/Pope teams.
    Curious as to why waste that 0.5 with Heaton having excellent fixtures after Spurs all the way to GW10?

      Agreed. But then I've never been keen on more than 8.5 on keepers provided I picked a nailed on one.

      4.5 keepers are a lottery.. But there'll be one this season who provides value. Having both Pope and Heaton increases your chances of owning the right one especially since 4.5 keeper prices skyrocket if they perform well and you wouldn't want to make a swap later to a 4.7/4.8 if you made the wrong choice. Also, a 4.0 will never rise so having two 4.5ers is a good way of increasing your team value. Also, Pope has a good first game and has a good run from gw 5 onwards and if you own both Pope and Heaton you face just one really tough game ie CHE in gw 10 uptil gw 14.

        I guess what I'd hate about it is benched hauls from choosing the wrong keeper...feel like that could happen a lot!
