Why Fantasy managers should wait and see on West Ham this season

Fantasy Premier League managers might want to exercise caution over West Ham assets at the start of 2019/20.

The Hammer start with a tough opening weekend fixture against Manchester City, but it is hard to guarantee Fantasy potential even in the more appealing matches that follow.

Looking at last season’s data, there is a possibility that their new-look attack could take some time to gel.

Meanwhile, the Hammers defence was questionable in 2018/19.

We’ve taken a look at all areas of Manuel Pellegrini’s team last season to see where Fantasy manager can find value in 2019/20.

      I Like C, Rashford has looked good in pre-season and King has decent fixtures and is on Pens for Bournemouth.....B is good too but Wolves' fixtures are a bit Meh! right now.

          Mainly Coleman, Ake and Wesley are key areas of concern. Kelly is a price drop waiting to happen, too.

      There maybe a bit of risk of rotation with Coleman now Everton have signed Sidibe

      Wesley is a bit of an unknown too.

      Greenwood is excellent prospect but not sure he will start many games for united this year (could be good coming off the bench in games though)

        Did you read this article? Defensive stats are poor and xG against West Ham is large. I'd estimate Fabianski's total to be about 110.

    A Little help and friendly advice needed here please.

    In the past week I have gone from the one squad to almost a completely different one as follows:

    A) My First Squad

    McCarthy Heaton
    Robbo Walker Diop Boly Taylor
    Salah Sterling Bernardo Siggy Dendoncker
    Wilson DCL Greenwood

    B) My Latest Team

    Heaton Pope (better rotation)
    AWB Walker Boly Diop Lundstram
    Salah Sterling Siggy Barkley Dendoncker
    King Firmino Kean

    Any advice on improvements to the latest squad or whether I should revert back to the first team with any glaring changes required etc?

        Yeah but that’s where the rotation comes in with boly and Diop ... sorry just realised in the first team I didn’t have boly I actually had Digne and Diop ....

        I was actually thinking of getting rid of AWB and Walker and going Zouma and Cathcart (for the Chelsea Watford rotation) and then upgrading Barkley back to Bernardo!

          I fancy zouma too - going to wait a few game weeks though to see whats what with chelsea. There CB and attacking mid should be bargains when we know who lamps favours.

          Boly Diop works though. Not too keen on Walker but thats just me and i wouldnt not want to have a liv defender or 2.

            I definitely do want a Liverpool Defender and Robbo was in my side from day 1, but its too much of a sacrifice for the rest of the team getting him, TAA or VVD

            If a better 6.5/7.0 striker emerges (like a nailed on Chelsea striker...we don't know who that will be right now), then I will downgrade Firmino for him and then upgrade the defence.

            Its a huge uncertainty right now amongst the 6-8.0m players!

            Yep 8/10.

            Light up top (but you know that) only issue is if one of the premium strikers start firing, you'll struggle to not take a hit to bring them in.

                I think that's it - a lot of teams are without a premium, I have vardy, sterling and Salah - who will turn into Mane saving me 1m (might even do it before the game tomorrow if there's further suggestion of his involvement). But point being is being somewhat flexible - I don't think you can say you won't use a premium forward this season as we don't know what will happen!
