Why Fantasy managers should wait and see on West Ham this season

Fantasy Premier League managers might want to exercise caution over West Ham assets at the start of 2019/20.

The Hammer start with a tough opening weekend fixture against Manchester City, but it is hard to guarantee Fantasy potential even in the more appealing matches that follow.

Looking at last season’s data, there is a possibility that their new-look attack could take some time to gel.

Meanwhile, the Hammers defence was questionable in 2018/19.

We’ve taken a look at all areas of Manuel Pellegrini’s team last season to see where Fantasy manager can find value in 2019/20.

    Best 4.5m option from the off?

    On Femenia atm but not too keen on the Watford defence.
    Will be my 4th defender and likely playing each week.

      This is so like mine, and I dig it. Balanced forward line absolutely not required if you're gonna use those funds to pimp out areas that'll give you more points.

      I'm on:

      Ederson/Heaton (will be Button once I'm convinced Ederson plays each game).

      Robbo/TAA/Digne/Walker-Peters (Lundstrom)
      Sterling/Salah/Perez/Lucas Moura/Barkley
      King (Greenwood) (Wickham)

      0.5 ITB

      There's so little value up front, and an absolute abundance of value in midfield/defence that I think 4/5/1 or 5/4/1 is the way to go.

      Worth thinking if Ryan and Guilbert are the best 4.5defs in your situation (personally not sold on Villa defence... their fixtures are not that great if you look closely)
