Barkley and Abraham benched as injured Chilwell misses out

Chelsea take on Leicester City in the second and final Premier League fixture to take place on Sunday.

Kick-off at Stamford Bridge is at 16:30 BST.

There has only been one goal scored in the last three league meetings between these two clubs: two stalemates sandwiching the Foxes’ 1-0 win in west London in December 2018.

The Chelsea starting XI shows only one change from the side that took on Liverpool in midweek, with Mason Mount (£6.0m) replacing Mateo Kovacic (£5.5m) in midfield.

That means there is again no place for Ross Barkley (£6.0m) or Tammy Abraham (£7.0m), who are among the substitutes.

Pedro (£7.0m) and Christian Pulisic (£7.5m) will flank Olivier Giroud (£7.0m) in the Blues’ attack, while Willian (£7.0m) makes the bench.

Ben Chilwell (£5.5m) won’t feature for the visitors this afternoon, with his place at left-back being taken by Christian Fuchs (£4.5m).

Chilwell misses out with a minor hip injury.

That is Brendan Rodgers’ only change to the side that drew 0-0 with Wolves in Gameweek 1, so Ayoze Perez (£6.5m) and James Maddison (£7.0m) will again support Jamie Vardy (£9.0m) in attack.

The Foxes are without a Premier League goal in three matches stretching back to April of last season, although have admittedly faced tricky opposition in the form of Wolves, Manchester City and Maurizio Sarri’s Chelsea in that time.

Rodgers’ side managed only three shots from inside the box against a stubborn Wolves side last weekend.

They may get more joy out of a Chelsea backline that has shipped six goals in their two competitive matches in 2019/20, however.

Lampard’s troops also conceded on eight occasions in their final three pre-season friendlies.

The Blues look more promising going forward, however, having racked up 38 shots against Manchester United and Liverpool over the past week.

Chelsea XI (4-2-3-1): Kepa, Azpilicueta, Christensen, Zouma, Emerson, Kante, Jorginho, Pedro, Mount, Pulisic, Giroud.

Leicester City XI (4-3-3): Schmeichel, Ricardo, Evans, Soyuncu, Fuchs, Choudhury, Ndidi, Tielemans, Maddison, Perez, Vardy.

Lads, I do apologise for insisting, but I didn't get no reply and I could really use some help.

Using my 2 ft and 0.5 itb:

    Heaton
    TAA, VVD, Laporte, Coleman (Lundstram)
    Salah, Sterling, Fraser, Robinson (Dendoncker)
    Vardy, Adams (Greenwood)

    A. Robinson-Mount,
    B. Fraser-Mount, Greenwood-Pukki
    C. Fraser-Martial
    D. VVD-Montoya, Greenwood-Pukki
    E. Vardy-Pukki, Fraser-KDB
    F. VVD-Maguire, Fraser-Martial, Robinson-Mount (- 4)

Now it's the time that ManUnited's favourable run of fixtures starts and surely this duo will help you a lot climb some overall ranking. Furthermore Mount seems a bargain and he will surely keep his starting spot after today's great performance from him. Pukki won't play against Newcastle every week so I don't rely on him because the most of times much excitement leads to bad performances. KDB is someone everyone wants in their team but in your team I see more important things to do first than to think how to get the Belgian magician. You are welcome.

Don't want to get rid of Auba, I believe he is fixture proof, but pepe doesn't look like he's gonna hit 9.5m form anytime soon, let alone start, was thinking of doing salah to mane, some other downgrades and then pepe to sterling

Seriously thinking about pressing the WC button and switching funds from defence to attack based on studying the first two GW’s (form players/best enablers) and reviewing the upcoming fixtures. I appreciate this is very early and if I wait I’ll have more information (something I always encourage others to do) but my gut is telling me this season requires swift action. I have multiple fires to put out: double Liverpool defence, Barkley, Perez, 2 x 4.5m strikers and no Kane for the upcoming fixtures. It just feels right...thoughts?

I haven't been considering it but my squad is also weighted heavily to defence and it's looking more and more tempting to WC in order to shift around the funds. So many plum attacking options and the double pool/digne/walker set up I'm rocking is limiting my picking right now.

Nice that you can actually say this this week without getting harangued by gobsh%tes bragging about owning (but not captaining mind) a Sterling hattrick.

Mood music has changed this week for those that went KDB over Sterling 😎

For what it's worth, I'm going Salah to Sterling as well as KDB for a bit and go without Liverpool attack

I may transfer him in for salah soon but currently on 50k OR so I can’t complain

Is Mane really worth 11.5m? I'm struggling with that. I think I prefer Kane or Aubameyang at that price tbh.

      Kane, KbD, Sterling

Thanks, may go with these 3 plus Son for the Newcastle game.

Ignoring the premium strikers might be right move. Not sure who appeals cheaper than Lacazette to have alongside Pukki though.

If I WC this week I’ll have 2,3,4,5 (but no Salah...)

I've tried that but it would mean dropping Martial. Would be great to squeeze those 4 in though!

If you go cheap in defence / GK it’s possible with Rashford or Martial included.

Blimey, I take it the Fantasy Football Scout team didn’t bother watching the second half at St. Mary’s yesterday. Liverpool utterly dominated until Adrian’s howler. Worrying that they’ve played 45 minutes of each game thus far though, hoping a full 90 next weekend.

Lundstram now a must start? Dang.

I’d just transfer out Auba for Kane.

I like your current team and wouldn't be wildcarding it. Only needs Rico and Kiko out, maybe downgrade a LIV defender and swap King for Pukki.

Thoughts on the Palace Sheff U game today?

Both poor teams IMO. Sheff Utd won because they had more desire.

I though Sheffield look good. I think I'll insist on Callum for a couple of GWs more.

Auba Hayden and Perez to Pukki Mount and KDB/Son for -4? Was gonna lose Auba for Kane but he/they look pretty bad at the moment.

They just played the best team in Europe.

I'd be scared not having kane for the Newcastle game, they are atrocious.

I know this is probably hot topic nowadays, but should i go for fraser > KDB instead of Son even if i have sterling and none tottenham?

Forget Sterling, it's KDB vs Son.

Hmm...City's more attacking game vs Son's more advanced position...will probably go with KDB 🙂

See if Son goes straight into the side...and if he hits some form, can then switch from KDB if you want
