Cantwell starts for Norwich as Lovren comes in for Liverpool

Todd Cantwell (£5.0m) has come through injury doubts to start Norwich’s Gameweek 8 meeting with Aston Villa.

The left-winger was reported to have suffered from a hamstring problem earlier in the week – but manager Daniel Farke was right to be positive about it in his latest press conference.

Still awaiting his first attacking returns since the Canaries’ last home fixture, Cantwell keeps his place on the left of an attacking midfield trio that also includes Marco Stiepermann (£5.4m) and Emi Buendía (£6.0m) in support of Teemu Pukki (£7.2m).

Elsewhere in the Norwich team, budget goalkeeper Michael McGovern (£4.0m) gets his first start of the season as Tim Krul (£4.5m) and Ralf Fährmann (£4.4m) remain ruled out with injuries.

The Northern Ireland international will face an Aston Villa side set up in similar fashion to the 2-2 draw with Burnley last week.

Dean Smith has retained the 4-3-3 formation once again but, for the second match in a row, has deployed Jack Grealish (£5.9m) on the flanks of the front-three, alongside Anwar El Ghazi (£5.5m) and Wesley (£6.0m).

Liverpool’s attacking assets are all as they should be this afternoon, leading the attack in 4-3-3 formation.

The big team news from Anfield is that Dejan Lovren (£5.3m) comes into the side for his first appearance of the season.

That might prove something of a concern for those invested in the Liverpool defence with Joel Matip (£5.5m) still out injured and Joe Gomez (£5.2m) coming in for criticism midweek.

Meanwhile, Leicester arrive on Merseyside with James Maddison (£7.1m) restored to the starting line-up after he missed the Gameweek 7 win over Newcastle.

Owners of Burnley attacking assets will be pleased to Johann Berg Gudmundsson (£5.9m) back in the side, making his first start since Gameweek 3.

The Clarets’ opponents Everton line up with Dominic Calvert-Lewin (£5.8m) leading the one-man attack once again.

Finally, Watford have bravely tried to match Sheffield United’s perplexing 3-5-2 formation with a similar system of their own.

Quique Sanchez Flores has deployed his players in a 3-4-1-2 formation while the Blades remain unchanged.

Burnley XI: Pope; Pieters, Mee, Tarkowski, Lowton; McNeil, Westwood, Hendrick, Gudmundsson; A Barnes, Wood.

Everton XI: Pickford; Digne, Mina, Keane, Coleman; Delph, Schneiderlin; Iwobi, Sigurdsson, Richarlison; Calvert-Lewin.

Liverpool XI: Adrian; Robertson, van Dijk, Lovren, Alexander-Arnold; Wijnaldum, Milner, Fabinho; Mané, Firmino, Salah.

Leicester XI: Schmeichel; Chilwell, Söyüncü, Evans, R Pereira; Ndidi; Maddison, Tielemans, Praet, H Barnes; Vardy.

Norwich XI: McGovern; Lewis, Amadou, Godfrey, Aarons; McLean, Leinter; Cantwell, Stiepermann, Buendía; Pukki

Aston Villa XI: Heaton; Targett, Mings, Engels, Guilbert; McGinn, Nakamba, Hourihane; Grealish, Wesley, El Ghazi.

Watford XI: Foster; Cathcart, Prödl, Kabasele; Holebas, Cleverley, Doucouré, Janmaat; Pereyra; Welbeck, A Gray.

Sheff Utd XI: D Henderson; O’Connell, Egan, Basham; Stevens, Fleck, Norwood, Lundstram, Baldock; Robinson, McBurnie.

    I have the exact cash

    Should I do Cantwell+Pukki > Saka+Vardy for a hit?

    My team would become:

    Pope (Button)
    Otamendi, Soyuncu, Tomori (Lundstram, Rico)
    KDB*, Mane, Son, Mount (Saka)
    Kun, Vardy, Abraham

Buut no, that is way too risky this early in the IB imo. Pukki to Maupay maybe

The squad is dispirited af. Silva is the worst manager I have ever seen. He doesn't know who his best players are, he doesn't know what formation to even put them in, he goes with zonal marking on set pieces, no player gets better under him, he is scared of every single opposing team...

He could very well be out during the break, it's been that bad since gw 3 loss to Villa and even gw 1 now in hindsight only beating Watford 1-0 and 0-0 to Palace, so wait until deadline at least on Digne. The goal today was a Pickford blunder more or less as he was standing right at the near post and Hendrik scored at the near post but maybe Digne gets an attacking return or a cs over next two gws.

          so it's basically:

Non-WC) Walker, Digne, Cantwell, Son, Salah, Wilson

          vs

WC) Otamendi, Tomori, Yarmalenko, Maddison, Mane, Aubameyang

Surely you can just do Cantwell + Digne to Yarmalenko + Tomori and be done with it vs WC

    C) Pieters/Taylor (depending on Pieters injury)

VAR check everything anyway. Ref may have given it, but VAR would confirm

So I need a 4.1 to make my WC team work. Its between

    A) Kelly
    B) Rico

They'll be 3rd sub every match. Who should I go with?

Does it matter? There will be different jewels a gw later. Better to do as late as possible maybe after Liv vs City gw14
