    Asked before but no replies, there's talk of Ritchie on here affecting Willems place? Wanted to bring in Willems over the IB. Better to just go with Lascelles?

      Ritchie is the best lwb in the club, and has been one of the most creative players fromt that position the last seasons.

      Willems has so far been great offensively for nufc, and it will take som time before he’d lose his place. But unless ritchie is being reverted to a cm, I think at some point Willems will play second string.

          Disagree Willems at 4.5 is worth the risk- if their in fact is any... like he’s been so good for Newcastle and in the cup before Ritchie’s injury Bruce played both of them with Ritchie further forward

      Ritchie could probably play as one of 3 in cm, in a 5-3-2.
      We need his left foto for those great crosses. He doesn’t have enough pace to play further upfront.
      My bet is that he’ll return soon enough to his role as lwb, once injury free and match fit.

      By all means, Willems has been great so far. But he’s not as good defender, or as a set piece specialist, as ritchie.

      We're just spoilt in the past with massive scorelines with mcy that a 1 or 2 goal game feels like a disaster.
