Our season-by-season Fantasy Premier League quiz is back with 20 questions on the 2016/17 campaign.

We’ve been gradually going back in time over the past few weeks and we’ve now reached the year of Chelsea’s title-winning campaign under Antonio Conte, Jose Mourinho and Pep Guardiola’s inaugural seasons in Manchester, and the All-Out Attack chip’s swansong in FPL.

There’ll be the usual blend of posers on Fantasy returns and underlying numbers, with some of the statistics and images featured taken from our Members Area.

As usual, the questions vary in difficulty from the gettable to the absurd – but we do at least give you four answers to choose from, for those with foggy memories or with better things to think about.

      Barnes out for only 1 game plus Vardy is best striker after 2 games so -8 sound crazy.

        Vardy has plenty of competition who are cheaper. Auba is the other alternative.
        DLuiz isn't a great sub or the defenders so will probably lose Barnes regardless.
        Vardy probably a lot less captained this week too.
        Defence is a bit meh and Evans not keeping up.
        It's a bit of fun where luck is the winner.

    How is everyone else following the vfpl games? Run simulation or jump to full time? And are you starting each game as it becomes available from 20.00hrs?

      I think it is better to watch as soon as you can without any spoilers so you can feel that rollercoster sensation as best you can.

      Would be most exciting if done in real time, similar to the Champman 01/02 game, ie all ten games played over 90 mins with goal/assist alerts as, and when they happen.

      Are you using attack involvement per team or the commentary part?

        Commentary - so it'll be every attack (hopefully) that a team has had in a particular game. No doubt there'll be some human error in there as I'm doing it manually, but hopefully nothing major.

              Ah, I get you. The filter in the transfers page will only document players who finished in the top six of any particular game. Plus, some of those players will have been involved in the same attack.

              What I've done is compiled attacks per team based on the commentary.

                      Will that be more for individual players, though? Eg Alonso might have been involved in the build-up to a Chelsea chance but not mentioned. Suppose only one man can answer that!

                        This is the kind of thing I'm talking about, where Willian is not mentioned in the commentary but gets the assist (so was clearly involved in the attack).

                        Not sure I've seen anything yet to suggest that a *team* attack hasn't been mentioned by the commentary but, if that is the case, chances are there'll be a similar number being omitted for every club - so the numbers in the spreadsheet will give a reasonable guide.

      Funny how people focus on footballers but not the overpaid bankers and CEO's etc.

      I don't think anyone should be pressured into giving up wages personally. I donated money to the NHS so i understand the cause but it should be their choice and no pressure..

        Dont expect footballers to fund NHS but it would be nice to see them & their clubs looking after low paid staff rather than even considering reaching out for taxpayers money (furlough) whilst staying on theirs astronomical wages.

    I have been tasked with putting together a sports quiz this week, and one of the rounds has been requested to be a Fantasy Football round.

    Does anybody have any good FPL Trivia questions?

    I am thinking along the lines of which player has had the highest individual score in a season ever, and in a gameweek ever. What nationality was last years overall winner, how many points for a goalkeeper goal. That sort of thing...? Also if anyone knows the answers to those....!

    I'm finally at a point where I'm going to start burning transfers in the real game, any mileage in using any upcoming FTs (in the absence of gameweek info)?

      Team is fine as-is, but I can see Jota losing a lot of minutes when (if) things are back.

      Often subbed early in a lot of matches, so you may get a fair few redicrd minutes. It's anyone's game to guess though - at least 1 of Jota/Jimmy will play I guess.

      A nice alternative is Wood at that price point. Leaves you with ~0.4 - 0.6m leftover, combining your currently ITB and Jota value.

      No point making unnecessary transfers now though, for no reason.

      I'm there as well, with 2FT to use if a new fixture order is announced your in a good position with that squad. My only concern would be who to bench with that front 8, I'd be tempted to downgrade one of them and get AWB with the MITB but I'm guessing you've got BB in mind.

    I said last night that I thought this game had been tweaked a little too much towards the more popular fpl picks. Still stick to this, and think the overall winner will have to score a 70+ GW average, even without DGW's.

    That's not to say the game is a real work of art, and very enjoyable to play. 🙂

      Agreed. It was designed this way in anticipation of any issues that might occur after the update. Seems like the updates are going very well, so might change game times to start earlier.

        Sent you an email re a transfer not going through. Or perhaps a display error? The transfer has gone through on my Transfers page and I have 1 FT left, if it was my GW4 transfer I would have 0FT. So something seems odd.
