Recapping the best Wolves players ahead of FPL restart

Wolves are offering a healthy number of viable assets for Fantasy Premier League managers, regardless of their chip strategy.

The next few weeks mean that their players could help out those Free Hitting or Bench Boosting in Double Gameweek 30+ or planning for the long-term.

We are currently recapping which players went into the coronavirus (COVID-19) suspension in the best form, using each club’s last six matches for the analysis.

We have also been assessing the impact of recently appointed new managers in the Premier League, so this series covers the other 15 sides, concluding with Wolves.

As we are sure you understand, a lot has changed since the climax of Gameweek 29, with Premier League players unable to fully train with their team-mates for nearly three months. 

However, it should still serve to know who was performing best before the break.

    Still debating between using FH or making use of unlimited transfers and BB this week. Do feel as if there'll never be a better week to BB though...

    If I did FH, I'd revert back to this for 31+ :

    McCarthy (ARS)
    TAA (CRY) - Doherty (BOU) - Holgate (nor)
    Salah (CRY) - Son (WHU) - KDB (che) - Traore (BOU)
    Vardy (BHA) - DCL (nor) - Rashford (SHU)
    (Button - Cantwell - Lascelles - Simpson)

    Thoughts on if I'm best...
    A) FH (revert back to that)

      If had BB I would 100% use it this week.

      I used it GW1 and got an extra 21 points. With the double, you should be looking at 30 extra points.

      4 atb the preferred formation, with James RB Azpi LB first choice.

      James however returning from an injury so fitness levels may be a little down, so could be Azpi RB Alonso (or maybe Emerson?) LB.

      Alonso could be a good 1 week punt if you're happy to run the risk, but anything further than that is foolhardy

        Yeah - the temporary wing-back formation was forced by injuries in midfield and on the wings.

        Definitely think we'll revert to a back four - especially with the surplus of midfielders now fit again.

        I actually do have my WC, but have large chunks of value tied up in the likes of Mane, DCL and TAA. What would you change? It kills me a little bit inside losing all this value haha

          3 city attack, 3 Sheff def and Grealish are main things so you are covered there. Arsenal/Auba could hurt you. I also much prefer Jimmy over Jota

      Don't assume Lundstram will play both games. You won't get confirmation that he will before the GW starts, either.

      Although, if he plays one game he could outscore everyone. You have to weigh up and take the risk in you think it's worth it.

      It's not a consensus. Newcastle & Aston Villa are both some of the worst teams from set pieces, and Fleck is on corners.

      Could be good for the likes of Egan & O'Connell too though.
