Jota, but I'd go Pukki over both of those given that you already have Jimenez.

They’ve got good fixtures, presumably they’ve got decent motivation for the run-in. Jiminez is a no-brainer & Jota looked great to me before the stop. Plus, they’re both relatively cheap, which enables one extra big hitter in midfield - I’m looking at Son.

Any major movements needed here? (no WC)

    Leno
    TAA, AWB, Boly
    KDB, Son, Grealish, Duda
    Jimenez, Rashford, Auba
    (Henderson, Lascelles, Saka, Egan)

Feel like clean sheets are the bread and butter though. Ederson vs Leno being the example of this yesterday. Leno makes 9 saves and gets a bonus but still out scored by Ederson

True - but was it worth 1.0m difference?

The other thing for me is, clean sheets can be taken away at any time during the game, whereas save points are banked as soon as they happen.

Psychological, but something awful about losing clean sheets in the dying minutes really gets me

No probably not, but Patricio isn't a 1mil more, it was just an example of saves vs clean sheet. But yeh I can understand that

Burnley are just a hard team to play against and have a good defensive record v lesser teams, of which they have a lot to play.

Every wildcard having Doherty in it probably counts against Patricio for many.

Is Everton’s away record a big factor when deciding on DCL v Pukki?

Surely DCL is the better pick.

Also, if you are looking at away records etc. maybe that sort of thing will be less of a factor without the crowds.

        1. Tempestic

      On something pretty similar

      Robbo for Doh
      Bruno for Richa
      KdB for Barnes
      Jota for Jim

Obvs I have bigger budget but think United attack - either Martial or Bruno adds up over double Everton.

Also think you could double Liverpool defence. That’s a punt I like

      I’d monitor Sarr too

Thoughts on this Wildcard first draft? I've gone cheap in defence, was considering Nketiah instead of DCL and upgrading two of them.

    Pope, 3.9
    Gomez, Saiss, Holgate, Lascelles, Justin,
Mane (C), KDB, Pogba, Son, Duda
    Rashford, Jimenez, DCL

Depends on the opposition and whether he's trying to fit Adama Traore in or not really. Suspect we'll see a reasonable amount of rotation of Jota, Neto, Traore, Podence and co with Jimenez getting 70 mins.

Cheers mate. Yikes. Have Jota, and my understanding is that Jota is much more FPL-effective in a 352 than on the wing in a 343. I was hoping there was a formation Nuno favors when everyone is fit. I guess we'll see how it goes.

We've not got massive squad depth, MGW was caught out partying during lockdown so don't know how Nuno will react to that. At least the Europa has been delayed until the end of the season so seems unlikely Patricio would get rested in favour of Ruddy, but would think the forward positions may see more of a shakeup.

Seeing as Cutrone got shipped back out to Italy it seems more likely the attacking mids/forwards may be interchangeable.

I'm sure others will see it differently, Nuno's never been one for wholesale change but can't see him sticking with the same 11 and formation for the last 8 games.

Prob just going to save the FT and then 2 ft's in GW 32- WC in 33.
    Thoughts on this?

    Pope (WAT).
TAA (CRY), Maguire (SHU), Saiss (BOU).
KDB (che), Fernandes (SHU), Salah (CRY) (c), Barnes (BHA).
Auba (sou) (vc), Jota (BOU), DCL (nor).
    Stek, Holgate, Dendoncker, Stephens.
    1 ft, 3.2m ITB.
    WC, BB left.

Wildcard team. I’m happy with it. Any errors you can see?
(Henderson will become Pope when the United fixture comes around - I’m loathe to get rid though)

    Pope (Button)
    TAA. Lascelles. Boly. (Egan. Kilman)
    Mane. KDB. Son. Bruno. (Hayden)
    Vardy. Rashford. Jiminez.

For 4.1 i would get Hanley from Norwich. He is their captain so probably will play most i suppose. O'Connell might be back gw31 already (and their fixtures aren't great anyway in the near future) so Robinson will likely be just another non-starter

      Hello!

First off are you WC'ing now to avoid price hikes?

Is there not something to be said for FH and to give one more week of seeing who's hot and who is not?

That's a very strong team. Wouldnt change much bar the keeper.

      1. Trovsmash
        • 10 Years

I had considered a FH & believe it's a good route, but I think ill save it for last couple of weeks of the season.

This is my team for now, of course, I need to wait for the extra info that comes with the rest of this game week.

Regarding Ramsdale, I had to make a sacrifice somewhere & keeper will be it, will likely just rely on him making a lot of saves & hope for the best.

        Thanks for your feedback!

Fernandes on penalties over Rashford now? If so I think I'll take a punt on Martial on WC instead

"Bruno Fernandes (£8.6m) scored a penalty in one of the Red Devils’ two friendlies against West Bromwich Albion on Friday, with some media outlets also reporting that he missed another effort from 12 yards.

This may have been significant as Paul Pogba (£8.3m) and Marcus Rashford (£8.8m), who have taken a number of penalties for United before, were both involved in that kickabout with the Baggies.

Fernandes had scored from the spot in the Gameweek 27 win over Watford but both Pogba and Rashford were absent through injury."

      https://www.fantasyfootballscout.co.uk/2020/06/15/fernandes-on-penalty-taking-duties-for-united-as-premier-league-clubs-play-friendlies/

Looks like he's the front runner, but no one knows at this stage. Could be rotated like before.

        • 5 Years

Well tbh the rotation strategy wasn't going too well for them so I can see him becoming first choice (as long as he doesn't miss too many!)

          3 years, 10 months ago

Yeah, I'd back him to be on all the set-pieces. Bruno and Martial are the two I want. Takes up two midfield slots but I think they're worth it.

Yeh I've owned him a few times this season over Rashford, awesome value especially since hes OOP. The only thing that made it so balanced in value previously was that rashford had pens, could be different now though

        1. Tempestic

in fact I don't think I've even owned rashford all season! He was a big rank killer at times though but also the Martial differential was a big rank boost, everytime I have owned Martial he has hauled for me until he became template and I moved on

City assets will be great albeit difficult to work out. Pep has already gone on record and said he’s treating these games very importantly to ensure the squad is ready for FA Cup and Champions League.

Liverpool could quite easily rotate once they win the league. Great opportunity for Klopp to give those squad players opportunities and see what they’re like. Liverpool will be relying on these concise considering their finances
