Should we sell or hold Timo Werner ahead of FPL Gameweek 4 and who are the best replacements?

It is fair to say that Timo Werner (£9.4m) has not started life in the Premier League as Fantasy managers had hoped he would.

Chelsea have scored six in their first three matches but their new forward has managed just one assist in that run.

So the question is: Is it time we looked to replace Werner? And if so who for? In this article I want to talk about the possible options.

      I wouldn't take a hit for it now but with Digne off set pieces he's probably poor value now. With all your money in the bank I'd get him out for Robbo which you might be able to afford or if 0.1 short then van Dijk.

      Or go a bit cheaper and get a second 4.5m keeper in for Steer as well. I like have 2 cheap keepers to rotate (I have Ryan and McCarthy) but could be especially worthwhile this season in case a keeper tests positive for COVID and misses 2/ 3 games!

        Digne is still on indirect free-kicks from the flanks.
        Hames is on corners.
        They both share the duty of direct free-kicks.
        Digne's chances of assists/goals from set-pieces may be reduced by half but Everton are a better attacking now so I expect more goals from Everton and Digne to contribute to them.

        However, comparing Robbo and Digne, definitely Robbo all day. I have both though 🙂

          Yeah I agree he will still get a decent share of assists, but the odd 3 points here and there doesn't justify the cost for me. If we was on all set-pieces he would be very appealing though but for me this knocks him down too much. He could well prove me wrong though, he could be a 4/ 5 goal asset with 6/ 7 assists as well! I already have Rodriguez and DCL so should be involved in most Everton goals, I think they're better value options from Everton (I got them at 7 and 7.5 though and they value diminishes as their prices continue to rise!)
          I think van Dijk is a good option, he'll be a top scoring (4/ 5 goals) defender and probably be top for cleansheets as well.

    Still think the best time to WC is around GW10. Get rid of Wolves and Everton, load up on City, Pool and United

      It's the best WC time for sure, I'm disappointed I didn't set my team up better so I didn't need to WC early. Not too significant though, just need to plan transfers well. Jimenez -> Aguero, Semedo -> TAA are two moves I should make.
