Zaha and Lamptey fit to feature as Mitchell keeps his place at left-back

Crystal Palace face Brighton and Hove Albion at Selhurst Park in the second of four Premier League matches to take place on Sunday.

Kick-off in the M23 derby is at 14:00 BST.

All four of the players who have double-digit ownerships from these two teams start this afternoon.

Three of them were doubts for this fixture, be it through injury or rotation risk.

Tyrick Mitchell (£4.2m) sees off the challenge of Patrick van Aanholt (£5.4m) at left-back for now, with the fit-again Dutchman only among the substitutes.

Tariq Lamptey (£4.7m) and Wilfried Zaha (£7.2m) were both flagged with injuries in Fantasy Premier League but the pair are passed fit to feature.

Mathew Ryan (£4.5m), Albion’s most-owned FPL asset, is between the posts again as expected.

Crystal Palace have made four changes in all to the side that were thrashed by Chelsea before the international break.

Gary Cahill (£4.5m) is back after a long-term lay-off and replaces Mamadou Sakho (£4.5m) at centre-half, while Jeffrey Schlupp (£5.5m) is in for Eberechi Eze (£5.9m) down the Eagles’ left flank.

Jordan Ayew (£5.8m) isn’t in the Palace squad, so Michy Batshuayi (£5.8m) joins Zaha in a two-man attack.

The injured James McCarthy (£4.5m) is replaced by Jairo Riedewald (£4.4m) in the middle of the park, while new signing Nathaniel Clyne (£4.5m) is on the bench.

Brighton make two changes to the team that lost 4-2 against Everton last time out.

Dan Burn (£4.4m) and Adam Lallana (£6.3m) come into the visitors’ starting XI, with Steven Alzate (£4.5m) and Aaron Connolly (£5.5m) dropping to the bench – possibly as a result of their exertions with their respective countries over the international break.

Crystal Palace XI: Guaita; Mitchell, Cahill, Kouyaté, J Ward; Schlupp, McArthur, Riedewald, Townsend; Zaha, Batshuayi.

Brighton and Hove Albion XI: Ryan; Webster, Dunk, White; Burn, Bissouma, Lallana, Lamptey; Trossard, Maupay, March.

Where the f is Guaitas save point. He had 2 saves and then there was a free kicks headed straight for goal after that.

Because they didn't add the free kick that guaita saved... He had two saves already, then he stopped a free kick headed straight for goal but they didn't give him a save

Fpl use official stats so thats no surprise. But it was clearly a save that wasn't given.

Most likely some guy registering saves at OPTA didn't want Guaita to get more points as he was on for 3 baps at the time if given that 3rd save

        I sold him for DCL.

Right now I think DCL is just as good a pick and £2m cheaper so I don’t think I’ll be swapping back anytime soon.

Just knew, the way my season is going, that he’d haul as soon as I sold him. This season seems determined to take the p*ss out of most of us.

He gets one less point for a goal, no clean sheet points and is 1m more priced than the mids. Im sure chelsea will play more fluidly rather than him sticking up front. I'd say get him if he was on pens but not for me.

          1. Zimo
            • 5 Years
            3 years, 6 months ago

Im not saying he's a bad pick. Just think the chelsea mids are more value and that extra million helps a lot

          2. Das Boot
            • 9 Years
            3 years, 6 months ago

But he will likely score a lot more goals than any of the mids and how many clean sheet points will Chelsea players actually accrue this year?

            1. Zimo
              • 5 Years
              3 years, 6 months ago

Yes he might. But he needs to score a lot more to match the extra point a mid gets. Plus he's priced higher than them so even if he does score more he'll have similar points to them. So value wise the chelsea mids are better.

              1. Das Boot
                • 9 Years
                3 years, 6 months ago

No, let's just disagree. Chelsea won't be keeping too many clean sheets the way they are going atm and I can see him easily outscoring the mids by 8-10 goals, that leaves a lot for them to do to get anywhere near him

                1. Zimo
                  • 5 Years
                  3 years, 6 months ago

He will in all likelihood outscore them but that's not what im saying. He uses up an extra million. He gets 1 less point for scoring than the mids. Even with 8-10 goals more he won't be that much higher in points to justify the extra million spent. He's by no means a bad pick though
