its tough trying to get the big hitters you want in as it changes the formation you play and weakens the team in other areas. Nice front 6 but the def is quite weak as you know. If Kun doesn't you can move funds elsewhere later.

Right. It makes sense to go cheap and have 4 playing 4.5s, but you only have 2 nailed starters (3 if we include Struijk for a few games). What you've done is look at who played last week and not who'll play going forwards.
And what's the point of Nyland? Is he even at the club?

Werner's next 5 after United are great. United may not be the worst fixture either and the attack is clicking together, esp if Ziyech returns. Whereas City don't look great offensively but Aguero is Aguero and highly rated by the bookies

Watching both of them in the last 2 evenings, I'd stick with Werner.

Werner plays for a team where manager has no clue how to set up the tactics. And most of the time his players are clueless. It's because of individual brilliance they get something

Aguero plays for a team whose manager is one of the best in the world. Is proven FPL player. Plays in s much better and attacking team

I'm an eye-test kinda guy. On Tuesday Chelsea's defence looked quite well-organised, and their attack fluid enough now their first choice players are coming back.
Last night, City's midfield looked quite flat and Aguero still short of his best.

I am talking about Chelsea being clueless on basis of last match.
I didn't watch the match, but on basis of many Chelsea fans and their input, I am saying this.

Will try to search any analysis if I find.

I'd love to see anyone attempting a Robertson (C), he's set for a haul on the weekend imo. Very unlikely Liverpool concede, bombing down the left and Sheffield United concede most of their chances down that flank, so it's clearly a weakness. CS+Return+Bonus for a 10+ haul is far from unlikely

My armband is currently on him and unless I do Pulisic to Mane it will likely stay on him! Always risky captaining a defender though, even one as attacking as him.
Not really feeling Sterling or Son this GW (my two main captaincy choices).

I moved KDB to Mane (C), feeling very good about Mane. Underlying stats are incredible, 2nd for all players in NPxG, top for all midfielders for Big Chances. All this despite missing a game, his per 90 stats have him top. Plus, passing the eye test with flying colors! Hope I'm in for a massive haul

He got 158 and 144 in his two best seasons at Everton. His career was hampered by injury and falling out of favour. He hasn’t played the minutes at Chelsea, but when he has, he looks an improved player from his Everton days.

The Villa loan move is excellent for him. I think he’s looked great in recent games.

I wish he was still at Everton.

Hello DZ.. What do you think of this WC?

    Martinez Button
    Cresswell Lamptey Ayling Ward Kilman
    Salah Son Fernandes Grealish Hames
    Kane DCL Brewster

By switching Fernandes —> Havertz/Pulisic, could upgrade Brewster —> Antonio/Maupay or Kilman —> Chillwell...either of these worth it ?
    Thanks.

Don't like having 8 attackers as you would have a headache who to bench every week. This current one is fine but I personally prefer to have a mf fodder instead of a forward one.

      1. Andy_Social
        • 11 Years
        3 years, 4 months ago

You'd perma-bench Brewster if you had him and sense, but it's good to have 3 active subs in these covid times. With mids as good as forwards, 3-5-2 seems a perfectly reasonable formation.

Regarding the draft, I'd avoid Palace for now - they're looking quite poor, and I'd expect Kilman to be dropped soon enough. If you don't have anything left itb, maybe just get a better 4.5 for Ward.

City attack looks lackluster and Mane is an incredible differential waiting to be exploited

          1. Andy_Social
            • 11 Years

If I had KDB, I'd keep him. Otherwise, I'd want to see Liverpool and City over the weekend before jumping on any transfers.
Last night watching Liverpool, Klopp ensured his defence was sound post-VVD by putting Fabinho there. It worked well but left the midfield too light, which compromised the attack. I'd say Thiago needs to be back to restore the balance. If he's in, I'd be happy with Mane; if not, not.
City too were really flat - a less than 100% sharp Aguero and desperately missing KDB. I'd want to see one game with KDB in and Aguero fitter before considering transfers.

Disagree, especially since we can't be sure he starts. Mane's in incredible form, backed up by the best underlying stats and has 3 home games against Leicester, West Ham and Sheffield United in a Liverpool system that looks great offensively. Whereas City look lackluster and they looked poor even with KDB against Leeds and Leicester. No Salah guaranteed my KDB -> Mane (C) switch

Hi guys.. I’ve not been on the chat for a while.. hope you’re all well.

    I have a dilemma..

    A) Werner to Kane
    B) Podence to Jrod
    C) Werner to Kane and Pulisic to Jrod (-4)

    Current team

    Martínez
    TAA / Saiss / Lamptey
    Mo (c) / Son / Podence / Pulisic / Grealish
    DCL / Werner

    Thanks in advance!

You guys don’t think Kane could go mental on Burnley? Also Utd looked better against PSG so Chelsea may struggle?

Chelsea's defence looked better too. tough to call that one.
Burnley defence will sit deep and soak up pressure. I think they're lacking something without Mee, but it will be a tougher game. I'm captaining Kane, but I don't see him 'going mental'.

Burnley might set up very defensively (Mee might start) and Werner looks like s great long-term hold. Your team seems well-balanced. GL.

Yea I held werner for a long time being stubborn, got the one good haul and moved to kane, want him for the next 3 games. If I need a way back into Chelsea attack I'd probably bring in werner during my first wild card.

What is the case for KDB ? Still I am holding.Any chances he is back this weekend ?

    Any help would be appreciated.

He's back in training according to Pep so he seems very likely to play, not sure about starting. Worth considering that KDB is likely to drop tomorrow.

I can absorb that drop, but if I can save transfer there and he is now differential in my ML, I am inclined to save as I have Reece James to deal with.

But I need some kind of surety of starting.

Kilman has been at the club 2.5 years as back up, he'll be backup again soon enough unless he keeps playing as well as the past two games of course! Def not nailed anyway!

Jorginho (not convinced on that one mate) fair play if pens are plentyful! Spend the spare change on Saiss over Coady.

interesting strategy that...you might well be at a disadvantage playing 4 atb every week though unless things settle down dramatically!

Wolves next 3/4 are very good fixtures. Expect them to keep atleast 2 cs.
Robbo is perma player in my team
Lamptey has that attacking threat along with good defensive numbers of Brighton
Villa have been great defensively too and have a sea of greens

Personally I would not have Jimi on a WC (although I have him now). Wolves are not looking prolific and their fixtures turn ugly in about 4 games. I'd prefer DCL and upgrade 3.9. 4.5 to Soucek too. Antonio might be good in a few games.
