Solskjaer turns to midfield diamond as Willian and Holding return for Arsenal

The penultimate Premier League match on Sunday sees Manchester United play host to Arsenal.

Kick-off at Old Trafford is at 16:30 GMT.

Ole Gunnar Solskjaer has seemingly jettisoned natural width in favour of a midfield diamond for this clash, having used that set-up in the Champions League in midweek.

Scott McTominay (£4.9m) returns to the centre of midfield alongside Fred (£5.3m) and Paul Pogba (£7.8m), with Bruno Fernandes (£10.5m) playing just behind a front two of Marcus Rashford (£9.6m) and Mason Greenwood (£7.2m).

Anthony Martial (£8.7m) is still suspended while Edinson Cavani (£8.0m) is only among the substitutes.

Arsenal have made 10 alterations from the win over Dundalk on Thursday, with only Mohamed Elneny (£4.4m) keeping his place.

Compared to Gameweek 6, however, there are only three changes, with Dani Ceballos (£5.0m), Granit Xhaka (£5.4m) and the injured David Luiz (£5.5m) missing out.

Rob Holding (£4.4m) makes a surprise return to the starting XI despite having initially been ruled out for three weeks with a hamstring issue, with Willian (£7.8m) also back from a calf problem.

Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang (£11.7m) again starts out wide for Mikel Arteta’s troops.

He has now blanked four Gameweeks in a row, which represents his worst run in FPL since moving to England over two years ago.

Fernandes, the only United player who boasts a double-digit ownership in FPL, has never blanked two games in a row since joining United earlier this year.

Manchester United XI: De Gea, Wan-Bissaka, Lindelof, Maguire, Shaw, Fred, Pogba, McTominay; Fernandes, Rashford, Greenwood.

Arsenal XI: Leno, Bellerin, Holding, Gabriel, Tierney, Elneny, Partey, Willian, Aubameyang, Saka, Lacazette.

Ogie you should change your name to Ofor...

Abramovich has lost interest in Chelsea. O for 1

Chelsea haven't got any money due to the price of oil dropping. O for 2

City won't spend due to the drop in price of oil. O for 3.

United will sign Sancho. O for 4.

United will free up funds by selling shares on the stock market. O for 5.

      🙂

Got a lot wrong about Chelsea and i will admit that but there is every chance United will land Sancho yet.

The only reason I brought it up is because you took offence that I said you didn't know what you were talking about, which has been proven true on every point.

Big of you to admit that you were wrong though. I respect that.

Good luck with your team. (FPL not Man U!)

Had a feeling Ive had an absolute mare with defensive points so I checked it.

49 points from GKs and defenders in 7 game weeks (28 appearances total). Saiss is 21 of those points in 4 appearances. Means that rest of my defenders and GKs have scored a laughable 28 points from 24 appearances for barely 1ppg average.

I dare anyone to top this...

Egan yes. Sold TAA on WC but replaced with VVD who gave me 1 point in 3 games. McCarthy first 2 game weeks followed by Guaita for a total of 8 GK points in 7 GWs...

other honorable mentions targett with .5 ppg, Keane with .5 ppg when Ive fielded him (and 8 points on the bench of course).

And now Saiss is dropped! Im bringing in Coufal, word of warning... 🙁

Wilson keeps ticking points ... with Antonio (original plan) is likely out, which one for Jimenez:
    A. Keep Jimenez
    B. Jimenez > Wilson (+ some cash)
    C. Jimenez > Werner
    D. Jimenez > Martial

Ok mate, I “had” the same dilemma so probably am best placed to assist you.

Werner and Martial both play in the CL so are subject to rotation risk (with Tammy and Cavani lurking) and wouldn’t be in mint condition before their PL games. Jimenez has no such concern.

Wilson plays for an average team who look lethargic at best of times - also considering the fact that Wilson has had a double ACL injury in the past, I don’t think he is reliable injury wise.

Jimenez excels against big teams and I don’t rate Wolves any less than the so called big six teams.

So in response to your question, it is definitely option A.

Planning to bench Ings next GW if he is out. His next game post that will be in 20 days from now. Hope he recovers by then.

The other option would be to just do Ings to Kane for a -4 (rage transferred TAA to Coufal, which is not a bad move actually)

    Martinez
    James Lamptey Coufal
    Salah Sterling Son Foden Podence
    DCL Bamford

Thought VDB played a fine game in midweek.

Maybe VDB is Pogba's replacement and United are just trying their best to increase Pogba's market value before they offload him, just a theory though.

Wilson has now overtaken DCL (who rose 7 times in 6 gameweeks) but is still at his starting price. Catching the very early hat-tricks and mega hauls seems to have been more crucial to TV this season than in previous seasons.
