    Would you do TAA/Robbo --> Chilwell for a 2GW punt before replacing with Cancelo/Dias for a -4?

Not for a minus no. Getting those two out for a hit could really hurt if they haul

True but don't feel safe holding onto both anymore, could easily be two 2-pointers against City and Spurs whereas Chilwell has two very nice fixtures

I would the way Pool are defending is comical, not like they are 1 & 2 in the defence points anymore?
Trent not even on first page!

No - Chilwell is a keeper for me. I'd try and get a City defender in another way for GW10.

Kinda stuck here and alot of players that can make room (Ramsdale, TAA, Davies, Trossard) any suggestions?

      Davies -> Chilwell for starters

Trossard has a great fixture this week so hold and upgrade him to Zaha/ Chelsea mid/ Hamez next week

Need to do one of these to get funds to boost my midfield. Which one would you do?

    A) Saiss > Kilman
    B) TAA > Chilwell
    C) Jimenez > Wilson

Saiss out of those as he isn't playing. Id also want Chilwell in my team though.

Kilman has been really impressive and Saiss wont be playing LWB again after Nouri's brilliant debut. He could start in midfield but Donk has that position pretty nailed down so would be just on a rest basis.

He could regain his place over Kilman but I think that would take some poor Kilman performances first.

    Martinez (£4m)
    Reguilon, Chilwell, Lamptey (Justin, Mitchell*)
    Son, Salah, Pulisic*, Rodriguez, Grealish

Got two ft's this week. Just Pulisic out to Ziyech/Zaha(?) or worth Mitchell out too for Kilman?

I don't really advise hits for defenders but it depends on personal preference and how much you value price rises/drops.

Its not essential with your team set up

Saiss doesnt look like dropping just yet but if he does minus 4 might be in order.

What to do with the 2nd FT.

Robbo to Zouma leaves me with 2.2 itb

2nd transfer could change Vassilev to Wilson/Bamford/Antonio (if fit) or keep the funds to change Son to KDB/ Sterling in GW10.

Also I'm interested in doing Taylor to Coufal in 2-3GWs time

      B I think

I want KDB for week 10 onwards. Would it be wise to take a punt on Auba for these next two then bring in KDB in his place?

I think the problem with Aubameyang this season is he's seems to be out on the extreme left and isn't cutting inside as much as he used to. I think he went 3 games without a shot on target until the penalty against MU.

I am seeing a different city this year, I think from GW10 a city defender would be great.

actually, coming round to just Saiss to Bellerin and float the over move

Spurs has looked rubbish in the last three games, Burnely, Antwerp and Brighton and WBA at home vs away is day and night in terms of chances conceded.

I wouldn't want McCarthy in goal. Mendy would be my pick. Id also change one of your three £4.5m defs to Kilman/Mitchell to fund it.

Id also prefer Cancello over Dias but understand the pick.

    Bench fodder forwards on WC.

Bowen, has more Xg and Xgi this season than fornals but also has the history of data, his goal involvement for a struggling Hull side was crazy good and he is starting to replicate it for west ham. I also think Bowen is more nailed as the new Brentford chap might start getting game time at Fornals expense soon

I went with Fornals. I like Bowen a lot but he doesn't seem to actually get many points, he tends to haul in one game and then go a few without anything while Fornals' points have been more regular and spread out. That being said it's not Bowen's fault that no-one seems to finish off his crosses and he's been unlucky.

I hate moves like this for def, booking in defensive transfers is bad. Go straight to your long term pick

The moves look sound provided you've prioritised transfers for mids/forwards.

Yes, already planned to get Kane > KDB in GW10. I guess the question was more "should I look to get a second City asset in once I've done this".

Looking to improve on my 3.5 mil rank...

    Martinez
    Zouma, Justin, Lamptey*, Mitchell*
    Salah, Mane, Barkley, Son
    Kane, DCL

    Bench: Brewster, Bissouma, Dunne*

    2.6 itb, 1 ft

I'm not too fussed by the defenders- i think Lamptey plays

    A) Barkley to Grealish (want to do it at some point)
    B) Brewster to Wilson
    C) Bissouma to JWP?
    D) Dunne to Vestergaard/Coufal

    Cheers!

just feels weird and doesnt sit right that he was named on the bench to be rested and then plays the full 90 on the left. with Puli injured. I basically dont trust Frank to get the best out of him.

Yeh that’s the other option. But quite like the idea of Vardy and Kane up top, even if Kane’s fixtures do worsen. Would ditch Son instead for KDB.

    Pools defending is comical.

Bench Robbo play Lamptey or swap out for Bellerin or City (Cancelo, Diaz, Walker)

    Any other changes?

    Martinez
    Robbo, Zouma, Chilwell,
    Grealish, Salah, Zaha, Son C
    DCL, Kane, Bamford

    Steer, Podence, Lamptey, Mitchell

what are you seeing with city? played 6 matches and only scored 1 goal in 5 of them. I dont hate starting robbo

I do think a city defender (or even two) from GW10 is ideal

Everyone agree with philosophy that if you start well in your mini leagues (I'd say top or within 25 points) then you should be pretty template, don't take risks ect. So Kane captain this week, no hits, go with the flow?

    1. My neck my back my Saed Kol…
      • 9 Years
      3 years, 5 months ago

It’s really too early to think like that I’d say. Just make the moves you think will work out best regardless of position. Kane the obvious captain pick so I’d go with him, regardless of rank

    2. Ha.
      • 8 Years
      3 years, 5 months ago

I think captain should be dullard every week. Template plus a couple of differentials is all you need.

    3. Deulofail
      • 8 Years
      3 years, 5 months ago

Template for your league or template overall? Template for your league makes some sense, but probably doesn't exist, and will hinder you at such an early stage. Template overall doesn't really have a 1-to-1 bearing over your success in your minileague. I would always say to go for whoever you think'll get the most points up until the last gameweek or three or always.

My philosophy is never look the others, never look the ranks, target to finish as higher as you can and play your own game.

25 points is pretty much one good versus bad captain pick and could be gone within one GW.

Would would you do here? I'm thinking:

    A) Saiss + Greenwood > Bellerin/Zouma + Grealish
    B) Saiss + Foden > Coufal + Grealish
    C) Saiss > Bellerin/Zouma
    D) Saiss > Coufal

    Martinez
    Gabriel Lamptey Justin
    Sterling KBD Foden Fernandes Greenwood
    Martial DCL

    Button | Saiss, Mitchell, Brewster

Mainly because you have Gabriel. I’m looking at getting in Zouma and bellerin this week. Bellerin a much better option at the moment than Gabriel, he gets so forward and we’re kinda crap at corners at the minute which hampers Gabriel’s attacking threat. That said he’s still a good option

          1. Deulofail
            • 8 Years
            3 years, 5 months ago

Thanks. I'll go for Bellerin over Zouma then. The only downside is that I only have one Arsenal slot left, but I don't think I'm going to be desperate for multiple Arsenal attackers any time soon.

On Bellerin versus Gabriel, though, I would argue that Gabriel seems to be nailed, while Bellerin may be under threat from formation chaange and Maitland-Niles and Cedric. Bellerin is good for bonus, but Gabriel could be turn out to be a bonus monster. I'll be paying close attention if I own them both! 😀

Yeah I’d avoid our attackers for the moment, weirdly after 30 years of following arsenal from the Highbury days until now can’t remember a time where we’ve had less impetus put in to attack but it seems to be working for us.

In terms of bellerins minutes I wouldn’t be worried at all. Cedric is garbage and although ainsley is a good player bellerin is taking a more and more prominent role in our attacking play which maitland niles isn’t as adept at. Bellerin is here to stay baring any injury

What would you do with this? I'm considering hitting the WC button. Either that or a few hits to fix the issues (Saiss, Dier, Maupay etc)

    TAA Chilwell Saiss Dier Ferguson
    Salah Sterling Son Rodriguez Bissouma

Nothing a couple of hits couldn’t sort. My cut off for wildcard is 5 key switches or more. If you feel like 5 of your starting team need to be shifted then go for it. Personally I can only see 3, maybe 4 out of those that I’d definitely want to move on
