After an eventful Gameweek 14, in which I almost committed the deadly sin of selling Mohamed Salah (£12.5m), I couldn’t be happier with the end result: a total of 93 points and an overall rank well inside the Top 20K for the first time since Gameweek 10.
Considering the rumours from several sources saying Salah was going to be rested at Selhurst Park, I almost pulled the trigger and sold him for Kevin De Bruyne (£11.8m) on Saturday morning. However, since I wasn’t 100% convinced by the rumours, I decided to hold fire and hope for a cameo from the Liverpool midfielder at the very least. After all, it would be heartbreaking to sell him ahead of such a nice fixture just to find out the rumours weren’t true.
However, the rumours were very true and he was indeed benched. But Salah doesn’t need many minutes to wreak havoc and after his 16-pointer, I was relieved to have decided to save my transfer. In addition, Ruben Dias (£5.7m), Andrew Robertson (£7.3m), Jack Grealish (£7.8m) and my captain Bruno Fernandes (£11.0m) all delivered nine points or more, which felt great after three red arrows in a row.
IDK, how deep do we dive... are trades an option (FT ITB)?
With the above alone, do you feel a double-up of an away game (ignoring that it's FUL, at the moment), in DEF, is preferably to Konsa at home (where he his got goals)?
I know he's coming back, but just a thought.

Thoughts on this gw19 BB team? I understand it has 5 single GGw players but they seem good value with good fixtures and can easily outscore most DGW players.

Chilwell has fallen once, and the threshold gets far higher after the first rise/drop of the week, and James isn't even close to dropping again. Sounds about right to me.

I ask in regard to GW18. I'm interested in a player, the logic seems sound, buy I feel like I may be aiming for a unique haul more than safer logical bet.

I think Pepe is building, has non-EPL form, though maybe weaker clubs, or harder to compare to, and ARS need more or a threat. Also has Willian to be outplaced by... so is he just too damn unique that I'm trying to jam him, over taking Eze say?

Risk is always there when you lose a premium like Vardy (with pens). Upside is high with Salah(c) and you don't have to lose any of the premium mids with the higher ceiling (extra CS point and goal point). You also need to consider your team (rest of your team is not included in n post) and 18/19 strategy
Probably Son as he probably has the most difficult fixture out the 3. I would want Son back in the team though

I know FF wise Watkins has been poor recently but if you’ve watched any Villa games, Watkins has been seriously unlucky with disallowed goals, hitting the woodwork and so on.

Never start Soucek. He’s the perfect first sub. A nice bonus if a starter doesn’t play and he gets something but you should never expect Soucek to do anything.
