Double Gameweek 24 teams: Fulham – best FPL players, form, fixtures and stats

Fulham come under the spotlight as we begin our team-by-team look at the four clubs with two fixtures in Double Gameweek 24.

The Cottagers, who are still languishing in the bottom three of the Premier League table, have a double-header against Everton and Burnley in the upcoming Gameweek.

The extra match hasn’t led to a surge in demand from the Fantasy Premier League community and not one member of Scott Parker’s side features in the top 40 for transfers in ahead of Saturday’s deadline.

Is there anything to like about the west London club from an FPL perspective, then? We assess their credentials in the Premium Members article below.

THE FORM

Having started the season in poor shape and shipping goals for fun, Fulham have been a tougher nut to crack over the last 13 Gameweeks.

The Cottagers have only been beaten four times in that period, with all of those defeats coming against clubs currenly in the top five.

Parker’s troops have been holding their own against the rest of the division, failing to concede more than two goals in a match since Gameweek 9 – so anyone expecting a bloodbath at Goodison Park on Sunday may be disappointed, although it should be said that Everton were the last team to score three past the Cottagers.

Indeed, from Gameweek 12 onwards, only Manchester City (three) and Arsenal (nine) have conceded on fewer occasions than Fulham (10).

Source: SoccerStats

The defensive improvements haven’t translated into victories, though.

Fulham are on the longest winless run in the top flight, despite losing fewer matches than the likes of Spurs and Chelsea in that time.

Their problem is evident in the table above: with only six goals in their last 12 outings, they are the lowest scorers in the top flight over the period studied.

i'd look at that, depends on my WC strat as soucek doesnt blank in 29 and i've used my FH.

Leeds attackers have more upside than DCL this week is my conclusion so tempted to hold

Could be a good decision, this is the first time I'll have rolled my FT in a while.
I'd also be tempted to play Soucek over Antonio if he's a doubt - West Ham joint top for set piece goals, Sheff Utd 2nd for set piece goals conceded...

In hindsight i seems to always have 10 better captain picks each week

That’s 11/23 captain no returns this season

Average captain points is 5.8 pw

    Aubameyang 7,5
    Bruno 11,17,2,4
    Salah 7,2,3,8,4
    KDB 2,14,3
    Son 1,2,3,13
    Vardy 5
    Bamford 5
    Kane 8
    Gundogan 6
    Antonio 4

I feel I will also give Gundogan the kiss of death this week. Should I just set and forget on Bruno for the rest of the season?

That's harsh and no doubt some bad luck. As managers we often forget how big a factor luck is in the game, especially the armband selection. I think Fernandes has attacking returns in something like 14 of 23 games. So set and forget is a credible plan. The other option, when there is a clear cut favorite in the FFS captains poll, is to go with the favorite. At least then the armband failure won't kill your OR.

Doing some planning/ tinkering and would it be mad to consider switching Shaw > Justin for a -4 from GW26 due to their fixture swing? I have never had Justin and have no LEI assets currently.

Note I would have Shaw for GWs 24 + 25.

My moves between now and GW26 per the plan would be:

    GW24: Robbo > Shaw
GW25: Soucek > Raphinha (for double)
GW26: Antonio, Shaw, Pope > Kane (TC), Justin, (Steer) - would play Martinez in goal

I'm wondering if I should transfer Lowton in for Mitchell then bench boost.

      Squad would be:

      Pope, McCarthy
      Cancelo, Stones, Justin, Lowton, Coufal
Fernandes, Son, Salah, Gundogan (c), Grealish
      DCL, Bamford, Antonio.

      What do you reckon?

The more I plan, the more I think we should just buy time this week. We're very unlikely to get confirmed fixtures for GW26 before deadline, and those will greatly impact the direction our teams will take.

If possible, I'd suggest rolling an FT or planning for the doubles we know are certain.

I'm most likely gonna do a somewhat passive Mitchell > Dallas switch this week in order to be prepared for GW25. I'd still have 2 FTs and can then decide how aggressive to attack GW25/26.

      Agree!

Have 2FTs but saving 1 as it’ll be crucial. Team above! Should be enough this week?

      Just doing soucek - gundo

      Agreed!

I'm planning Robbo > Shaw this week and rolling 1FT
Then one move in GW25 (Soucek > Raphinha) and rolling 1FT.

2FT in GW26 and a possible -4 to give (hopefully) a strong team

I like my defence to Dallas Dias Cancelo and Coufal. I still have bloody cresswell. Desperate to defend my team into GW29.

Midfield is Salah Son (still had him all season) Gundo Soucek Bruno.

Forwards is Bamford DCL and Antonio.

Best strategy to get grealish and kane in for dw26 and beyond is a FT defender to best looking after and during 26 which has to be justin and then take -4hits per week to downgrade Pope (have martinez) to Forster downgrade one defender to fodder. Possibly kilman and bring in raphinha dgw 25 and bench them gw26. All of a sudden budget is tight lol

          Martinez Pope
          Dallas Chilwell Dias Cancelo Coufal
          Salah Soucek Gundogan Son Bruno
          DCL Bamford Antonio.

          No bb left

I think with this team I might just make 1 transfer but I have 2 FTS.
Reason being I really like my defenders.

    Martinez
    Cresswell Stones Dias AWB
    Salah Grealish Gundo Fernandes
    Antonio Watkins

    Meslier Bamford Dallas ESR

    So would you do:
    A. Martinez to Pope. Save second FT.
    B. Stones to Mee/Tark & Salah/Grealish to Sterling.
    C. Antonio to DCL.

Can someone explain what needs to happen for Everton to have a DGW25?
I see Eve, Avl, Wba & Shu are listed as potential DGW teams, what is this contingent on?

    1. Camzy
      • Fantasy Football Scout Member

It's pretty unlikely. Basically they'd have to decide to move AVL-EVE to GW25 to make up for the COVID postponement.

Considering they haven't done that yet, and it's a UCL midweek, I don't think they'll do it.

    2. FPL Theorist

It's very unlikely. Although he means well, I think Crellin is just confusing people by listing extremely unlikely DGWs as "possible".

He didn't think any other double except manc vs everton/sou was possible in gw 24, and none in 25.

It’s tempting because they could double in 24,26 and 27 (I think) so I think you maximise the upside with 2 attackers

I'm very tempted too, espeially since my two defenders - Stones and Cancelo - presumably are less nailed than Dias. But Sterling maybe even more prone to rotation - but in form. Also, having Sterling for most part of first half of season kept me hovering around 1m+ mark, waiting in vain for his hauls that never came. Not the first time I have been trolled by him, but third time lucky?

That's my plan for the next few yes unless their defence looks shaky at all over these GWs - just don't see the point of 'wasting' a transfer on the shuffle when there are other, better transfers that can be used to improve the team

I agree, last double my three city guys got 58 points (Stones, Dias, Ederson). While stones was lucky to spike the goals, without those its still a could haul. Plus those three are prob the most nailed defenders

Everton and spurs to me dont feel like big scorers, could easily be 1-0 city in both.

      Best differential for DGW 24:
      A. Digne
      B. Mee
      C. Lookman
      D. Barnes

Digne imo. His attacking threat is one of the best in the league.

Try as I might I just can't see where Digne's attacking threat is recorded statistically - since his return from injury there are ~38 defenders with better XGI... his chances created aren't at the top end, attempts on goal aren't great etc etc - am i missing something?

Or is it just the 7 assists?

Eye test mainly. He basically assisted the Everton equalizer at MUN (flick-on from Keane). His crossing is also very good in general and he's occasionally played OoP LW with Godfrey at LB.

I expect Wood to get one and a quarter game in the double

Wondering if I should transfer Lowton in for Mitchell then bench boost.

      Squad would be:

      Pope, McCarthy
      Cancelo, Stones, Justin, Lowton, Coufal
Fernandes, Son, Salah, Gundogan (c), Grealish
      DCL, Bamford, Antonio.

      What do you reckon?

Tempted to roll the ft for next week and Leeds players though.

I'm considering the same but Antonio being a doubt is putting me off. Think 2ft next week would also be very handy.

Looking at Ben Crelin's projections, does that mean that there is a possibility that Tottenham have a DGW in 26, 27 AND 28?

or if they get a DGW in 27 they automatically don't in 28?

      1. FPL Theorist
        • 4 Years

In theory, they could have both, but both 27 and 28 are Europa League midweeks, so they can only play then if they lose to Wolfsberg in the round of 32. And if they do get knocked out, that reduces the urgency of rescheduling their fixtures.

Yeah, Wolfsberg are worse than West Brom according to FiveThirtyEight's global rankings. Projected to finish 6th in the Austrian Bundesliga.

Swansea have a very tough defence - if they get promoted there's definitely going to be some 4.5 bargain-age in there

Totally agree re Swansea defence. Sterling or Mahrez is Pep dilemma for tonight. Steffen Walker Laporte Mendy Doyle Ferdo Silva Torres Jesus Sterling/Mahrez would be my line up
