The Fantasy Flutter: Betting odds on Double Gameweek 25 Premier League action

Sponsored by bet365

We are again turning to the odds provided by our official sportsbook partner, bet365, to wager a bet on the forthcoming Premier League action.

As ever, we urge you to gamble responsibly and always remember: when the fun stops, stop.

The Fantasy Flutter: Betting odds on the weekend’s Premier League action 2

DOUBLE GAMEWEEK 25 MATCH ODDS

DERBY DAY

A whopping three derby matches take place during Double Gameweek 25 and offer up some cracking odds for Fantasy Premier League (FPL) managers fancying a small flutter.

Bitter rivals Liverpool and Everton meet in the Merseyside derby. The game promises to be a feisty affair, with both sides desperate for a win.

As well as offering the usual odds on goals and results, bet365 has some more intriguing niche markets.

If you’re backing tempers to flare in Liverpool, then bet365 will give you 5/6 on there to be more than 3.5 cards shown.

Should you think a player will get himself sent off, then putting a tenner on this will earn you £40.

With neither Everton or Liverpool’s defence impressive of late, a safe bet would be to back a high-scoring game.

If you think there will be more than 4.5 goals, then bet365 will give you odds of 7/2.

2 Goals Ahead Early Payout Offer

Get your single bets paid out if the team you back goes 2 goals ahead – for multiple bets the selection will be marked as a winner.

Applies to pre-match bets on the standard Full Time Result market for selected competitions. Bet restrictions and T&Cs apply. New and eligible customers only.

HIGH-FLYING SEAGULLS

An in-form Brighton side host Crystal Palace, who are still likely to be without talisman Wilfried Zaha.

The Seagulls defence has been particularly impressive, and they sit at the top of the expected goals conceded (xGC) table over the last six matches, above Manchester City.

Added to the fact that Palace have failed to score a single goal since Zaha got injured, a low-scoring Brighton win looks a possibility.

Albion’s last seven results, indeed, are: 0-1, 1-0, 0-0, 1-0, 1-0, 1-1, 0-0.

Bet365 is offering odds of 5/2 for a Brighton win and two goals or fewer to be scored.

For Brighton to win the game to nil, bet365 has odds of 13/8.

Should Palace manage to hold the Seagulls, then bet365’s Money Back Offer will get you your money back on certain bets if the game does result in a goalless draw.

Bore Draw Money Back

Refund for any Soccer game that finishes 0-0 at bet365.

Applies to losing pre-match bets on any Correct Score, Half-Time/Full-Time or Scorecast markets. Bet restrictions and T&Cs apply. New and eligible customers only.

BACKING BAMFORD

All eyes will be on Patrick Bamford in Double Gameweek 25’s first game – Wolves v Leeds.

Bamford has been one of the most consistent FPL assets this season, having the most attempts on goal and shots in the box of any forward this season.

His Leeds team also face an out-of-sorts Wolves side, with losses to Crystal Palace and West Brom in their last six games.

Despite this, Bamford is priced at 9/2 to open the scoring at Molineux on Friday.

For punters fancying more of a differential, midfielder Raphinha has even better odds.

The Brazilian has outscored Bamford over the last six games, and is priced at 9/1 to score the first goal.

    Shall I just BB this?

    Martinez Adams Cancelo Cresswell

I also have Sterling and Gundo so them being rested would make this a waste

The Villa boss informed the whole public earlier. But wait for a "Villa fan" to answer.

Dean Smith confirms Matty Cash set to miss "a few weeks" with the hamstring injury sustained at Brighton. Smith said: "It is a blow. But when we have had injuries this season people have come in and done a good job." #avfc

Yeah, you said you only wanted info from a Villa fan, so I desisted. Anyway, Cash is off the table for now; the question is, will it have an impact on the defence as a whole (concerned Martinez owner here)?

I have him in WC draft but still the amount of saves the man makes means I think I have to include him he’s been annoying me all year not owning him

I'm hanging on to him (have no WC to play); Villa have gone a bit flat up top but still defensively sound. I hope Elmo does a good job at the back.

    Stones, Cancelo, Dallas, Rudiger, Mee

    Pope (Martinez)
    Dias Cancelo Dallas (James Coufal)
    Bruno Salah Son Gundo Grealish
    Watkins Bamford (Antonio)

    A) Hold FT
    B) Grealish to Raphina
    C) Grealish + Antonio to Raphina + Ings -4

Feel like C) clearly pays off this week but I then lose a DGW player for next...

They'll all play but will they play twice? With City in all the compos and playing twice a week for the foreseeable, all their players including Stones will get rests. But he'll haul when he plays. I think, without any solid evidence, Cancelo will be rotated more than Stones.

Thanks andy it’s a risk, wish I’d held onto wc now but no going back! Do you think stones is safer even with laporte back?

Two thoughts: 1) Dias and Laporte will be prioritised in CL for their experience, so Stones gets more PL.
              2) KDB back won't impact on Gundogan's position, but it occurs to me (and no one's discussed this) that it impacts on Cancelo - there's no room in a crowded midfield for his new game, so he'll be back to bog-standard wingback duties and there's more competition there, so he'll get rested more in the PL. Therefore, my preference would be for Ederson, and after him, Stones!

Have Stones from WC last week and feeling nervous tbh.

Not in fact that convinced of value of City defence right now anyway. Despite all those cs there are a number who are keeping pace with them for less and I'm assuming there'll be rotation over the DGWs

One plan is to get Ederson in 26 from Pope this end.

Do like your Barnes plan though.

Yes wish I could afford Ederson over areola, just means too many sacrifices elsewhere, stones has been great for me last 6/7 weeks but might be time to move on

I guess we're on similar budgets

My saving last week was to punt on Vardy - amazing differential - and rely just on Son. Half wish now that I'd gone Ings to allow me Barnes back. Ings has simply fantastic fixtures as far as the eye can see - it's just the potential DGWs have horrid second fixtures in City Chelsea and Spurs

Yes I initially wanted ings too but think watkins and bamford are great for their price and allow upgrades elsewhere!

Like the vardy punt, nice differential and can haul at any time!

    Pope,

Shaw seems very template, as does a Villa defender (Targett, Konsa or now ElMo now that Cash is injured). I'm going for Strujik instead of Dallas personally as it lets me have Rudiger and a Brighton Defender

Which midweek would the next round of FA Cup go to? I mean the one after GW29. I'm assuming the team's qualifying blank again then?

Semifinals take place in parallel with GW32, which is also has an open midweek for catch-up fixtures, so the blanks could be made up in the same game week. The same applies for the Cup Final in GW37.

Thanks. So going by this, it is safe to say that the GW32 fixtures of teams that qualify to the next round will be postponed? Or does it look like 33 instead?

Semifinalists will play their Cup game in GW32, and will probably make up the postponed match midweek in the same game week. So no DGW action (apart from Spurs probably catching up against Fulham or Southampton). The same will apply for the final in 37.

    Bottomed. Would love your advice:
    Please help me to decide:

    Martinez
    Cancelo Mee Shaw Dias
    Son Bruno Salah Grealish Gundo
    Bamford

    4.0 DCL Antonio Mitchell

Planned to Wildcard and BB 26 but without fixtures would you:

    A. DCL, Dias to Ings , Dallas -4
    B. Antonio, Dias to Ings, strujik -4
    C. SON to Raphina for free
    D. Something else
    E. WC to a BB 26 team

    0 ITB
    Thanks in advance

Would you change anything in this back 7 on WC?
    Martinez Sanchez
    Dias Stones Shaw Dallas Dunk
    *0.1 itb (can't afford Cancelo)

Can you not downgrade Dunk to upgrade Stones?

Brighton defensive numbers are amazing though. Dunk is a season keeper for me I think

He is doing lots of mistakes on times I'm not sure he's nailed forever

I've got v similar to this and going for Villa/Chelsea defender instead of Stones, and Strujik instead of Dallas (so less money sat on the bench later on, and because I'm low on team value tbh). I had Cancelo but have moved to Dias as more nailed, so I wouldn't worry about not affording Cancelo

I’d avoid Leeds defence if not getting Dallas. He’s playing as a midfielder, which is the attraction. Not clean sheets. No point getting Leeds defence if not.

The appeal is a cheap defender who can sit on your bench after the fixture swing without needing a FT to get the money back, he can sit on my bench for the rest of the season if needed after 29

    Martinez
    Tarkowski Stones Cancelo
    Salah Son Bruno Gundagon
    Antonio Bamford Cavani

    Steele Soucek Konsa Holding

Cavani and Soucek to Ings and Raphina and play 3-5-2 and bench Antonio? -4

    Cheers

Is cancelo (got him in at £5.8m so sale value is £5.9m) worth changing to dias on a wc? Just think dias is a bit more nailed.
      Anyone doing this?

Very tempted too. But cancelo probably has more chances of assists and goals. Difficult choice
