Scout Network

Which Double Gameweek 26 players are the Scout Networking considering?

The pool of viable players for Double Gameweek 26 of Fantasy Premier League is wider than ever – so how do we identify the best options?

14 teams have two fixtures scheduled for the next round of action which means a lot of research is needed before Saturday’s deadline.

With the biggest Double Gameweek of the season looming we asked the members of the Scout Network for their top picks.

Ted Talks FPL

West Bromwich Albion’s Mbaye Diagne

In the five games Mbaye Diagne (£6.0m) has played for West Bromwich Albion, he has registered three attacking returns and has the second highest xGI per 90 amongst other forwards.

Jamie Vardy (£10.1m) is a differential among teams in the top 500k with just 5% ownership, yet he has returned in his last two games and has the highest number of big attempts to score or assist in his last six matches.

Ted Talks FPL

FPL Nymfria

Everton’s Richarlison celebrates

With two goals in two games, Richarlison (£7.9m) could be a great pick for Double Gameweek 26. At just 6.8% ownership, he is a differential with great fixtures against Southampton and West Brom.

Raheem Sterling (£11.6m) isn’t cheap, but the Manchester City attack and the England international specifically are both back and firing. With three goals and one assist in the last five Gameweeks, Sterling is a great pick.

FPL Nymfria

El Statto

Manchester City’s Phil Foden

Dominic Calvert-Lewin (£7.6m) faces Southampton at home followed by West Brom away. Two teams he will get plenty of opportunities against, especially West Brom who have only won once at home this season. I expect him to return well for his owners.

My second pick is a bit of a gamble but after being rested in Double Gameweek 25 I think Phil Foden (£6.1m) could start both games in Double Gameweek 26, depending on what happens in the Champions League midweek. With six goals and five assists so far, he offers great potential in front of goal.

El Statto

FPL Greece

Barnes matches Vardy's output over last four ahead of Double Gameweek

Leicester City’s Harvey Barnes

Harvey Barnes (£6.8m) has been the biggest attacking threat of Leicester in the last few Gameweeks, with back to back double digit returns. Barnes is a great differential, against opposition that we can see Leicester scoring against in this Double Gameweek.

Calvert-Lewin and Everton’s confidence sky-high after a huge win in Merseyside derby. He has shaken off his recent injury, and with James Rodriguez (£7.7m) and Lucas Digne (£6.1m) looking in very good shape, Calvert-Lewin looks a good bet for attacking returns in Gameweek 26.

FPL Greece

FPL Crypto

Kane and Son both return in new formation as Spurs breeze past Sheffield United 3

Harry Kane

Although Harry Kane (£11.1m) has blanked in Spurs’ last two Gameweeks, he did register eight goal attempts in that period which is joint top among FPL forwards. Two favourable fixtures against Burnley and Fulham looks a primed for a reversal of fortunes.

Ricardo Pereira (£5.9m) lined up very advanced versus Aston Villa in Gameweek 25. In fact, his heatmap almost mirrored Barnes on the opposite flank. Leicester host Arsenal followed by a trip to Burnley and Pereira could prove to be a great differential with only 0.6% ownership.

FPL Crypto

FF Titan

Manchester City’s Raheem Sterling

Since Gameweek 11, Sterling has only blanked three times in 14 starts. He already has nine goals and seven assists this season and is performing at the highest level of consistency. He is a triple captain possibility in our opinion.

Calvert-Lewin returned from injury for 28 minutes in Gameweek 25 where he earned a penalty. He already has 13 goals and assists assists to his name this season and faces a Southampton team who have not kept a clean sheet in seven games and West Brom who have the worst defensive record in the league.

FF Titans

Bendito Fantasy

Returning Digne can help Everton's attacking assets return to form in Gameweek 20

Everton’s Lucas Digne

Lucas Digne (£6.1m) has eight assists this season and Everton are brimming with confidence after a historic win at Anfield. Digne has registered three goal attempts in the last four Gameweeks and has put in 30 crosses during the same period. Clean sheets can be a concern but with two favourable fixtures, we can expect returns at both ends of the pitch. – Gerardo

Leicester continues to impress, and the goals and points are coming from midfield. In the last four Gameweeks, Barnes is second only to James Maddison (£7.3m) in goal attempts, however has more shots inside the box and a lower number of minutes per xG. If he continues this form we can expect 0.08 points per minute played from him, only surpassed by Ilkay Gündogan (£6.1m) and Bruno Fernandes (£11.6m). – Leo

Bendito Fantasy

FPL Experiment

Manchester City midfielder Kevin De Bruyne

Barnes has amassed 25 points in his last two games. He is showing a burst of form that coincides with the return of Vardy. The Leicester midfielder is only in 11% of teams too, which makes him a great differential for such a consistent performer.

The return of Kevin De Bruyne (£11.8m) is very interesting too. Whether he is playing as a centre forward or marauding midfielder, when he’s on the pitch he is central to everything Manchester City do. With most managers focusing their attention elsewhere, an overlooked De Bruyne could provide the rank jump we’re looking for!

not sure that is key. If someone thinks Barnes score more from 26 - 29 including a blank then that is what matters.

The next 3 games are really good for Spurs. Their bad run is also due to the caliber of teams they've been facing. Son is undervalued still imo.

I beg to differ. The next two opponents for Spurs all have three clean sheets in their last four. Only one opponent for LEI has such a record. Additionally, Spurs have trouble breaking down such opponents. A case in point is WHU.

I can as well get Son in that game week. for now what that matters is getting maximum points. Additionally, a future event is risky given that anyone can get injured etc. So lets 'eat' the points while we can.

    A) Salah, DCL, Raph. No hit. (Sell Ings)

Can see his minutes managed very closely, with the prem won, the focus will be on CL. Pep surely will want Kevdog in the best form for that? Maybe keeping money aside for a quick transfer if he starts to bang could be a good move

I think Ederson's quite a clever play given the fact that he's pretty much guaranteed to start every game while the rest of the City defenders not only come with a huge rotation risk but are nowhere to be sighted in the goals/assists stats. 6.1m isn't cheap but he's going to be top of the 'keeper rankings soon imo.

A safe pick for sure, but I suspect in terms of raw points gained from now until GW38, even with rotation, Cancelo and Dias could bag more. Both could get 2 goals and a couple of assists in my book.

Hi guys, am on a BB, and nervous about using it with triple Leeds. Have FH so don't need to worry about GW 29:

    1) BB with Areola, Dallas, Raphinha, Bamford (1 ft Ings>Kane)
    2) -8 for Ings, Bamford, Raphina > Kane, DCL, Lookman
    3) -8 for Ings, Bamford, Dallas > Kane, DCL, 4.6 defender (Burns)

I am leaning towards 3 but happy to hear thoughts?

Good enough too BB? Who do I captain?

    Martinez Areola
    Stones Rudiger Taylor VESTERGAARD STRUIJK
    Salah Bruno KDB Gundo RAPHINHA
    Kane DCL Maja

    Thanks!

BB - why not? I've got 2 Chelsea defenders with a stinky pair of games, but I'll prolly go for it anyway. 3 captainy options, isn't there? Kane, Bruno, DCL. I've got the first 2 and it's a coin-toss but might end up on Bruno due to his consistency.

Bench boost and I'm looking at Kane but Bruno is so consistent.

Exactly. Kane might get two hat tricks in two. But then he might blank in both. Bruno much more consistent.

Yeah, Kane might. Salah v his old club might. KDB being GOAT might and has the fixtures, but those 3 lack the recents. Bruno does it week in week out.

You're bench boosting 3 outfield players with a single fixture, do you really think that eve and AVL are great games for those players?

The other option is to get Barnes as my 11th DGW player by sacrificing Bamford and Raphinha for cheap fodders and probably forget BB.

I blew my best chance of using my BB back in GW15 when I overslept by 5 mins - left 32 points on the bench then. This is not an optimal week for me - I won't win my weekly cash ML, but I don't see any good time to use it until the end of the season. If you forget the B for this week, the question is - when?

(Honest question, 'cos I'll save mine if there's a good answer!)

But then what happens week 29?
It's a good team, I'm just not sure I'd bench boost.

What do you mean? It's not a BB week; it's the obv FH week. I don't know about Dark Side, but I blew mine a while back. I've currently got THREE starters for GW29 and without taking hits get up to 7. I think I'll take that and hope I don't lose too much ground. 4 non-players are defenders so it won't be too different to a CS-free GW.

Really undecided! 30 points off top in my ML but people behind catching. Need a big GW!

    Current team:

    Pope
    Cancelo Dias Rudiger
    Son Salah Bruno Gundo
    Ings Cavani Bamford

    McCarthy Dallas Soucek Mitchell

1.6ITB and 1FT. WC, BB & TC available.

    1) Ings/Cavani to DCL
    2) Soucek, Ings to Barnes and DCL (-4)
    3) Mitchell, Ings to Digne and DCL (-4 BB)
    4) Mitchell, Soucek & Ings to Konsa, Barnes and DCL (-8 BB)

What's your plan for week 29?
Why do you have non playing players in your squad?
I prefer KDB to Sterling but sterling does have a habit of finishing the season well.
Overall I prefer team 2 looking at week 26 in isolation.

Plan for wk 29, was test and adjust from wk 27 with the aim to have c. 6-8 starters.

Non-playing players - simply to direct as much funds into my starting 11 as much as possible.

That's my dilemma with KDB, Sterling is in good form but the risk of Pep rotation is slightly higher as KDB is pep's favorite (imo).

2 defenders for a combined 9.8 mil. to complete this BB squad for next GW?

    C: Other?
