I can't get Kane without losing another big hitter and taking -8. This is either going to make or break me!

I couldn't see myself without Kane this week personally.

A -8 is harsh, but as long as the hits involve bringing in some decent players who have two games (e.g Barnes, DCL etc...) along with Kane. Then I don't see it being a big problem. Seems a lot of hits flying around this week and hopefully some huge points to be had.

If you are bringing in dgw players for single game week then a -8 isn't harsh. You pull back half the points just by them playing the extra games. Dgws are ideal for making changes, especially if you then BB or TC.

Depends who you lose. If the other big hitter has good fixtures I don't see how a -8 makes sense. Could work if the other players you bring in can also carry the load

If it means losing Salah the question is not only about -8, as you implied but also a question how Kane performs vs Salah for next couple of weeks roughly. For me getting Kane would require losing Salah or Son and it would be still -4. Transferring Son sideways is definitely not an option and Salah out with a hit on pretty good dgw sounds always bad.

Not having Kane for dgw is ok(ish) for me since there are many good dgw fixtures fir big hitters. But Spurs is having good fixtures after dgw also AND they play bgw 29 so after dgw26 stuff really also speaks for Kane. But for me, it still seems very difficult to get Kane in.

    A) Ings, Bamford & Johnson to Kane, DCL & Targett (-8) this week and TC Kane
    B) Save BB and TC for later, play wildcard this week to avoid hits and also get players for BGW29

Current squad with 1 FT and 5.5 ITB:

    Martinez
    Stones - Robertson - Dallas
    Salah - Bruno - Gundogan - Foden
    Watkins - Bamford - Ings

    Bench: McCarthy, Raphinha, Coufal, Johnson

If free than yes. Get rid of that annoying chip and move farward. You wont get DGW bench anyway so if you use it any other GW you will have 4 SGW players. Here you have 2 Leeds in form vs Villa and DGW GK (you wont get that chance this season later).

Well said. I paid for membership before. Wasn't great. Used RMT to pick captain a few times but the Captain's poll was as good a guide for me. Can't be dealing with all them xG type stats. Rather look at form and some games. I'd still end up making poor decisions but I like playing regardless of membership.

So what if they won? Was that down to Mitchell (them winning)? Or was it in spite of Mitchell?

I guess Mahrez is nailed on now then as City won last game? And we should all jump on Dan James as Utd won and he scored so he MUST be nailed now right?

If it was pre-KDB playing, i would say yes. Not saying that KDB has a negative influence on Gundo's ability to gain points but it will surely change the dynamic in some way. That could be for good or worse but its that unknown element i dont like if you suddenly see Gundogan playing the deep lying role again.

Just the one decision to make for next week now (having already done Ings > DCL).

Do I take a hit for Bamford > Watkins and hope that Jack comes back soon so he can provide some service to Watkins (we all know he needs a hell of a lot of service to score that lad). Or do I just stick with BamBam who is ticking along nicely but hardly ripping up trees.

I'm keeping Raphina, I have FH left which I'm heavily considering for GW29, and I can see that Watkins is owed some further DGW's down the line as well as having a game in 29 (incase I don't play FH).

Feel like these few paragraphs have helped me to make up my mind actually - even if I don't get any replies 🙂

        Why though?

Bamford is okay, don't get me wrong.

But it's not like he's been in that great form himself.

Watkins form 4.5 PG over last 6.
Bamford form 5.3 PG over last 6

If they both keep up their respective form, Bam gets 5.3 & Watkins gets 9.

        Play Watkins IMO

Obviously my decision with the hit is more difficult...

    RMWCT

    Martinez
    Digne - Dias - Pereira
    Barnes - Gundo - Salah - Bruno
    Kane (c) - Watkins - DCL

    3.9 - Dunk - ESR - Konsa

Leaves me with 6 for GW29 and will bring in 2-3 more in coming weeks.

Issue is I think it is a waste not to have 3 MCI players for back to back doubles.

Depends who you've got in of course, but in a DGW with decent fixtures, you've got to hope these bench boost players are capable of double digits. In which case you can justify the hits (I'd say +8 is supportable). But... it depends how confident you are on those players.

      No real contest surely?
Injury prone striker against the tightest defence in the league vs out of position asset who's as likely to score/assist as get a clean sheet and is up against a Villa side likely without their talisman.

I guess it's really Ings are one of the Leeds trio out.
My tip would be Ings to someone like DCL personally...

Yeah, Ings -> DCL seems like a good move.
The hard questions is who of the Leeds trio to sell and who to get instead?

      DCL for Ings
      Upgrade Dunk perhaps

I'd keep the Leeds trio personally

Even though they just have Villa this week?
I guess you're thinking ahead to GW29? It's still 4 week in the future though...

Am really struggling here folks.. happy to take up to a -8. 1 FT 2.4 ITB. Around 70 behind in MLs but in the running for a paying place.
BB this week and no chips left. Tried to be smart last week by carding for big BB and got it wrong..
Thinking Ings JWP Vestergard out for
DCL Gundo n Digne/Reguilon or do I keep them for their double a week later?
    Martinez Areola

    Stones Cancelo Shaw Dallas Vestergard

    Salah Bruno JWP Raphina Son

    Watkins Ings Bamford
    Cheers!

I think the key is to stay cool, shrug off the bad break and not focus totally on just this week. 70 points is definitely a margin that you can claw back over the season and you don't need to do it all this week. Considering the number of different chips in play (and captaincy options) it'll be a very unpredictable week whatever you do.

As for moves - DCL and Gundo are both smart (and Gundo also means you have 3 City ready for the DGW27). With the third transfer stepping towards the blank in 29 seems smart and that means either Spurs, Villa or Fulham defence (in terms of DGWers this week and playing in 29).

Reguilon could be a smart move there, although Spurs form is obviously poor, so maybe a Villa option also worth considering?

That’s a great informative reply thanks for that. Yes, Targett or Konsa are in my mind to cover 29, so perhaps DCL Gundo n a Villa defender seems wise or 1 less to save a hit.
Cheers for that. It’s really appreciated!.

If you are trailing by 34 points in your mini league

    Me: only TC left
Him: wildcard, free hit and bench boost left

    Can I still catch him?

Depends on team comparison and if he/she gets the best out of their remaining chips. Still a long way to go but they have the advantage for sure.

Absolutely. He'll likely have advantage in 29 (for free hit I'd guess) and I imagine he'll bench boost this week so he SHOULD get some points there, but wildcards aren't a guarantee of any extra points and we have plenty of game weeks left.

Obviously it depends how similar your sides are, you may need to take some differential picks and obviously have captaincy luck.

This week there'll be a wide range of captains I think which often leads to big point swings.

Target. Villa have two favorable fixtures, could have a DGW 28 and play in GW 29. Dallas has one awful fixture. Still, a -4 for a DGW player is essentially a -2 for playing.

    WC team (still got FH..)

    Martinez
    Cancelo Digne XXX XXX Struijk
    XXX Bruno Son Gundo Barnes
    Kane DCL Brewster

    A) Stones Konsa Salah
    B) Ricardo Targett Sterling/KDB

I don't really like losing Salah - more nostalgia I think than anything else I think!

But I do like those transfers in B).

Stones will play 1 game most probably (unless rested in CL) so I'd much rather have Ricardo. Targett marginally better than Konsa and Sterling/KDB could be a really nice differential (although both MAY only get 1 game in the double too)
