Raphinha makes the Leeds bench as Struijk, Kane, Son, Dallas and Bamford all start

Triple Gameweek 35 continues with Leeds hosting Spurs and a return to the matchday squad for Raphinha (£5.4m), after missing the last three matches with a thigh problem.

It led to mass sales for the under-priced Brazilian, having gained popularity for the four goals, five assists and general excitement provided during his previous 13 games.

Leeds have a trio of promising fixtures to end the season and the 24-year-old is returning to the Fantasy Premier League scene at an interesting time.

Kalvin Phillips (£4.9m) joins him as a substitute, after head coach Marcelo Bielsa said their availability was “subject to an evaluation carried out on a daily basis”. Winger Helder Costa (£5.0m) is finished for the season and, whilst Liam Cooper’s (£4.3m) three match suspension is over, he doesn’t regain his place from bargain defender Pascal Struijk (£4.0m).

Patrick Bamford (£6.3m), Stuart Dallas (£5.2m) and Illan Meslier (£4.7m) all start.

Interestingly, Leeds have only drawn five matches this season and they were all home meetings against the ‘Super League Six’. Can they complete the pattern?

They face a Spurs side under the interim management of Ryan Mason. It’s his third game in charge and comes off the back of a convincing 4-0 win over Sheffield United. Therefore he picks an unchanged side, enabling Gareth Bale (£9.1m) to start again following his hat trick.

Ben Davies (£4.5m) is their only absence, still suffering from a calf injury. Serge Aurier (£5.2m) follows his 14 points from midweek by keeping his place at right-back ahead of Matt Doherty (£5.6m).

It’s an attacking line-up from Mason, with Dele Alli (£7.4m) joining Bale alongside the heavy shoulders that have carried Spurs throughout the season – Harry Kane (£11.8m) and Son Heung-min (£9.5m).

January meeting’s between the teams saw both men haul during the 3-0 win, with the remarkable pair currently on a combined 60 goals and assists for the season.

Kane, Son and Bamford were the three most-sold FPL players this week and this is an opportunity for faithful owners to quickly out-score the Double Gameweek assets.

LINE-UPS

LEEDS UNITED XI (4-1-4-1): Meslier; Ayling, Llorente, Struijk, Alioski; Koch; Dallas, Klich, Roberts, Harrison; Bamford

TOTTENHAM HOTSPUR XI (4-2-3-1): Lloris; Aurier, Alderweireld, Dier, Reguilon; Hojbjerg, Lo Celso; Bale, Alli, Son; Kane

Why are people annoyed about Kane? He had a goal that was onside ruled out, the lines weren’t even straight. Stupid to be annoyed about that, and besides has a great fixture next week.

Okay then sell him. People probably used that logic with Son weeks ago and he’s since been scoring well. If you had them both since the start of the season and left them, you’d be flying.

        It’s not hard to understand.

It's the way he has them playing that is startling - other promoted teams have done well but none have caused the big clubs to sweat and adapt to them in my memory.

It'll be really interesting to see what they do in the transfer window.

They bought more depth but the playing squad has been very similar to last season. Only 4 incomings - of which only Raph has been close to ever present.

In outlay 5 other PL clubs spent within 20 million which pretty much equates to one player in today's market. The balance at Leeds was spent on making Costa and Meslier permanent.

(The one big miss may be Rodrigo but he hasn't been DvdB bad and injuries and unexpected Bamford form mean he just hasn't played enough. Koch and Llorente look class to me and I imagine Rodrigo will turn out alright too.)

Rival has 3 Leeds (Bam, Dallas, Raphina) but has benched Dallas and Raph. I on the other hand have loaded with lights of Zaha and JWP being on BB and chasing too. Hopefully I can get a sizeable lead because these 3 look primed to cause some serious damage over the last 3 GWs.

Leeds 4 cleansheets & only 4 goals conceded in last 8 home games

4 of the games were Liverpool, Chelsea, Spurs, Man Utd too

And 3 of the games they conceded in were without Kalvin Phillips

TLDR: Leeds have transformed into a defensive powerhouse at Elland Road over the last couple of months

So proud of my Barnsley team!!! After 7 games with season we had not won a game at all(won-0-drawn4-lost3) and we sat third from bottom!! Then our manager left to New York!! The New manager came in and we haven’t looked back!! We have just secured 5th in the championship!!! What an achievement!! To put it tomorrow context Brentford and Swansea won their 23rd game last week after 45 matches, we won our 23rd the week before after only 44 matches!! Essentially it took us 38 matches to win 23!!! The youngest squad in the championship too!!! Amazing story!!!! So proud to Be a Barnsley fan!!!!

We don’t have a good record against Coventry haha, you play great football too!! I think the criticism of our style has been a bit unfair this season, anyone who watches r games surely see some of the great football we play at times!!
Thankyou mate!!! Fingers crossed it’s a win for the smaller clubs!! We would ruffle some feathers next year if we went up for sure!!
