Fantasy5

Back your Fantasy nous for the chance to win £10k with free-to-play game

Sponsored by Fantasy5

There are a lot of Fantasy games out there at present but how many will let you enter a team for free and still offer a substantial weekly cash prize?

Fantasy5 does just that.

The easy-to-play Fantasy game uses a familiar, FPL-style scoring system and comes with the incentive of a whopping £10,000 prize every week.

Best of all, it won’t cost you a penny to get involved.

Image

Gameweek 1 is now live, so you can start picking your selections for the five matches involved: Chelsea v Crystal Palace, Leicester City v Wolverhampton Wanderers, Norwich City v Liverpool, Newcastle United v West Ham United and Tottenham Hotspur v Manchester City.

PRIZES

Image

As well as the £10k weekly prize, there are other incentives.

Fantasy5 will run a leaderboard over the course of 2021/22, with Champions League final tickets, £250 and a replica kit all up for grabs for the podium finishers.

Image

Premier League match tickets are the reward for the leading manager in August, with a replica kit also on offer in Gameweek 1.

HOW TO PLAY

The rules are simple: enter a team by picking one player from each of the five nominated fixtures each Gameweek and, if they all exceed their ‘points target’ for that match, you’ll be taking home all – or at the very least a share – of the money.

There is no budget in Fantasy5 – if you wanted a team packed full of the big names, then you’re free to do so.

Naturally, the so-called “better” players will have a higher points target and Fantasy5‘s projections are a good indicator as to who is expected to perform well on any given matchday.

For example, on the opening weekend, Mohamed Salah will have to score in excess of 12.5 points in Liverpool’s clash with Norwich if the Egyptian is to help you on the way to the jackpot.

By contrast, the Canaries’ Lukas Rupp only has a points target of 4.5 to better.

Back your Fantasy know-how for the chance to win £10k with free-to-play game 4

Fantasy5 are the fastest media outlet for live Fantasy points, displaying all player points from the five games in question as well as the live score and time – as shown in the above image.

The competition is limited to one entry per person per round and selections must be submitted before kick-off of the first eligible match.

If two or more entrants correctly select five players who all score more than their points target, then the prize pot is split among all winners.

SCORING SYSTEM

If you know anything about Fantasy Premier League, the Fantasy5 scoring system is easy.

Quite simply, it’s FPL without the bonus points.

For newcomers, players gain – and lose – points in Fantasy5 through the following outcomes:

A more balanced team with stronger bench or try to fit Mahrez/Son in?

    A) Antonio, Raphinha, Buendia, Digne (ESR, White, Manquilo)
    B) Antonio, Mahrez, Harrison, White (Brownhill, Fofana, Manquilo)
    C) Son, Harrison, ESR, Digne (White, Manquilo, Davis)

    Rest of Team:

    Sanchez
    TAA, Shaw, X
    Salah, Fernandes, X, X
    Watkins, Toney, X

    (Foster, X, X, Manquilo)

Any option that makes ESR a regular starter is a no for me.

A purely because of Raphinha who is a non-negotiable for me.

Fairly happy with this team. If it looks like that one of Jota or Greenwood starts I"ll have them instead of Hazertz.

    Template with two punts.

Looks decent, lots of combinations for 3rd/4th placed mids at the moment, hopefully options will stand out a little more before the season.

True, although good chance he returns vs Palace and then he has Arsenal and Liverpool.

Playing around with a Chelsea draft. Havertz returning to training is promising.

    Henderson Foster
    TAA Digne James Ayling White
    Salah Son Havertz Jota Raphinha
    Watkins Toney Oba

James played all the last few crucial games of the season. Can't really see him being dropped. Problem is, he's been playing as part of the back 3 rather than at WB. Maybe Rudiger would be equally good and slightly more nailed.

Yes. Chelsea arguably have the best defense in the league since Tuchel joined. And they keep clean sheets against top teams too - Champions League testifys to that.

I think Reece James will go back to RWB with Azpi returning to RCB when the season starts up again. I think it was primarily used as a tactic at the end of last season to compat the pace down the channels of Vardy in the cup final and once announced Sterling in the UCL final.

Having all three of James, Havertz and Jota could be a touch risky but for more than two to miss out in one GW would be extremely unlucky so can see it being worth the risk.

It's actually becoming more common for a back 3 to feature a really pacy CB - Walker for England and City, James for Chelsea.

I think they are considering converting him into that role.

Maybe that explains the interest in Hakimi as a more long term RWB option... it's probably still a horses for courses approach tactically and Azpi's crossing and attacking isn't nearly at the same level as Reece James.

I'm starting the season with Chilwell I think but just need to see the returning Euros players get some minutes before the season starts.

Yeah I like Chilwell too. But he still hasn't been back training and is more prone to random niggles. If they don't get rid of Alonso he could well start the first few games. Let's see.

The Super Cup 4 days before the season starts will hopefully give us a better idea of where players are.

Is James fairly nailed on so? On Rudiger for the boring but steady option.

He is surprisingly probably more nailed on than Chilwell. His only competition is Christensen since Zouma looks out of favor.

He will start the season at RCB or RWB.

CHO would be the threat I imagine as rotation

Feel sure both will be rotated but early season anyway the schedule will be much less packed than when Tuchel took over so I'm hoping for less churn with no cups and more rational fixture list

Rudiger will be under threat after a few GWs if the Kounde deal comes through.

James/Azpi should play the majority of games at RCB/RWB but CHO could come in for either of them from time to time at RWB.

      Pondering something similar

Prefer Chilwell to James - he played all the big matches last time really. Also looking at his underlying stats he's really impressive - think he's worth the 0.5 for the added goal threat - he gets his chances in the box as often as not.

Wouldn't go with James. He seems to have a limited attacking threat in the RCB position.

Jota James to Robbo Bowen/Beundia. Maybe i biased since it will make your draft more or less similar to mine.

      Good Luck

    Sanchez Steele
    Trent Dias White (Ayling Omadelle)
    Havertz Salah Mahrez Raphinha (Brownhill)

I do quite like the Werner punt but think the price doesn't reflect how he performed last season. Arguably the tougher fixtures from GW2-6 should suit him as there should be a bit more space in behind to run into.

Def prefer Mahrez and Havertz over Son and Pepe.

Raphinha most undervalued player in the game. Happy to wait to get him once their fixtures gets better.

Leeds surprised everyone last season with overly attacking and pressing football. They don't have the same surprise element this season.

If you think teams were 'surprised' by them you don't understand the detail these coaches and preparation go into. They knew exactly what Leeds were all about. We knew what Leeds were all about.

But just because you know what's coming doesn't mean you can combat it. Most of their squad were also not on Intl duty - Raphinha, Rodrigo, Bamford, their entire defense. They have been training super hard preseason as well. I expect they will be very hard to stop especially up against very disrupted teams like United.

Getting paid multi millions to play professional football for a living and refusing to turn up for training? What sort of an example is he setting?

Absolute scum - typical Harry Kane too, and like his ridiculous dirty & dangerous play there won’t be a word of dissent about “Enger-lands Golden Boy” in the media either, it’s mental what he gets away with

There is *obviously* the caveat that his no show is a refusal to train

If he’s fallen ill, has a family emergency, or something of that ilk, then obviously none of this is applicable

If he hasn’t showed up & is refusing to do his job to try force a move - he is scum

"I wasn't in a great mood. I had been left out the Liverpool game the previous weekend and I knew that the team going down to Arsenal in the cup was basically a reserve side.
                    ADVERT

"I just got a bee in my bonnet that I wasn't happy with things.

"I had my reasons but it was stupid really. I ended up getting fined and having to apologise, but I was lucky. The manager would have been within his rights to get rid of me."

I disagree. I would do the same. Sometimes you just gotta do what is best for you. I don't think anyone can rationally question Kane's professionalism throughout his career. If this is the only way he can get the move he wants, then it's needed.

He may well have had a "gentleman's agreement" with Levy that if he wins nothing at Spurs by 2021, he could leave if the club receives a fair price.

Hence the quotation marks. The point is, it would mean what he said to Kane regardless of what Levy thinks. A Messi-like stand-off here would do neither party any good. Poor Nuno comes off worst.

Nothing verbal is binding contractually though - he is under contract, contract he signed & is refusing to honour the terms, terms that have made him one of the wealthiest people in the world, with a job many, many people the world over could only dream of

The scramble to excuse this behaviour is terrifying

        1. GreennRed

They could only dream of it because they haven't his ability or work ethic. Where are you going with 'scramble to excuse this behaviour'? You don't like Kane, we get it.

Perceived Ability & perceived work ethic don’t excuse his behaviour here - he is completely & utterly in the wrong, there is no excuse for what he’s done assuming he is deliberately not turning up to force a move

The level of ungratefulness to lose sight of the fact that he is being paid money people can only dream of, to do a job that is a fantasy for most people on the planet is crazy

Actually that's not true - oral contracts can be binding and there is case law proving as much. The issue though is ever proving that it was made / what the terms of the agreement were if it was verbal and there is no evidence of it having been made (other than one person's word against another).

“Nothing verbal is binding” is a turn of phrase used in many industries to highlight to people that documentation is required in order to record a decision/agreement

Obviously there are situations where verbals can be binding (if you ask a barman to pull you a pint) - but not on multi-million pound contractual terms of an agreement between a footballer and a club

hard to say without Kane being there in pre-season and Son up top
it's just very unpredictable right now; will Kane stay or not, and if he transfers out, will they get in another top striker or keep playing the way they do now in pre-season

anyway, i'm expecting Alli to get back into the picture and probably become a viable FPL asset again - i'll probably hold off for now and go for Son if i can afford or for the new guy Gil who is a tad bit cheaper

Think you could do it but you wouldn't be able to make any transfers until you started removing the City players. Would basically have to make it a ghost-ship team. Would you be able to even change your captain? Who would be a sensible VC - someone not at City?

Bachmann Foster (can't really have Sanchez as you wouldn't be able to swap GKs)

Great effort. However, I'd be concerned about picking son without the spurs situation settling down. Jesus could be great, but we all know about city rotation. Downgrade Jesus and upgrade Toney? Don't think benrahma starts for West Ham, so maybe change him. Great start, great effort. Well done!

Alot of Greenwood hype but I don't see it. Pogba will likely start on the left and Greenwood will provide cover for Sancho or Cavani.

United need Pogba to sign a new contract, he will start most games.

So far Ole has not switched to a 4 3 3 in pre season so I expect Pogba to play in a front 3 behind the striker

Do you mean on the left of the front three in a 4-3-3?

Pogba is not going to sign a new contract.

Cavani won't be fully fit for the start of the season.

Mason is a good bet for GW1-2. After that, I agree he is a huge rotation risk, but will likely get more games up front this year.

I dont think Pogba has ever started on the left for United. Ole started Greenwood in many important games with Rashford on the opposite wing. I think Greenwood will be 1st choice with Rashford out. Sancho on the other wing and Cavani upfront.

Pogba started most games last season on the left in a 4-2-3-1?

Depends on the opponents. Against "easier" teams, I'm sure Pogba and Fred/Mctom/Matic will playing in the double pivot with Bruno in the 10.

Tougher opponents, Fred and Mctom were playing in the double pivot and Pogba was on the left

I hear you but just don’t agree, whenever I watch greenwood he’s great, brilliant finisher

Rashford is out, martial is out of favour, I think they need greenwood up there to score goals along with cavani - pogba is good but no goal scorer and also a toxic individual they should get rid of him

Looks half decent this game, might give it a go.

Thoughts on this bit riskier draft?

The bench is weaker i know but most are playing options. Hoping the presence of big hitters offsets spread points?

      Sanchez
      TAA/Shaw/Ayling/Fofana
      Harrison - Bruno - Salah - KDB
      Toney - Watkins

      Subs : Steele - Brownhill - Manquilo - Davis

lots of pressure on those premiums, not loads of points elsewhere if they don't have a good start.

True , but when have they not delivered? Also the price point allows me to pivot to ANY player if one doesn't start well?

Still got TAA/Shaw which i think are the only must defensive picks, the rest is as unknown as anything else?

If Kane goes does that mean Son plays as striker? Gil then comes in on the left wing? could be a very profitable 16 mil outlay.

I guess, Moura and Bergwjin will start initially with Gil as impact sub.

You would expect Spurs to have a replacement lined up before Kane goes

      Sorted 😎

      Bachmann
      TAA / Shaw / Digne / Veltman
      Salah / Son / Buendia / Smith-Rowe
      Kane / Cavani

      Foster // Brownhill / Obafemi / Williams

like the non Bruno teams, I think he is way overpriced.
