Fantasy5

Back your Fantasy nous for the chance to win £10k with free-to-play game

Sponsored by Fantasy5

There are a lot of Fantasy games out there at present but how many will let you enter a team for free and still offer a substantial weekly cash prize?

Fantasy5 does just that.

The easy-to-play Fantasy game uses a familiar, FPL-style scoring system and comes with the incentive of a whopping £10,000 prize every week.

Best of all, it won’t cost you a penny to get involved.

Image

Gameweek 1 is now live, so you can start picking your selections for the five matches involved: Chelsea v Crystal Palace, Leicester City v Wolverhampton Wanderers, Norwich City v Liverpool, Newcastle United v West Ham United and Tottenham Hotspur v Manchester City.

PRIZES

Image

As well as the £10k weekly prize, there are other incentives.

Fantasy5 will run a leaderboard over the course of 2021/22, with Champions League final tickets, £250 and a replica kit all up for grabs for the podium finishers.

Image

Premier League match tickets are the reward for the leading manager in August, with a replica kit also on offer in Gameweek 1.

HOW TO PLAY

The rules are simple: enter a team by picking one player from each of the five nominated fixtures each Gameweek and, if they all exceed their ‘points target’ for that match, you’ll be taking home all – or at the very least a share – of the money.

There is no budget in Fantasy5 – if you wanted a team packed full of the big names, then you’re free to do so.

Naturally, the so-called “better” players will have a higher points target and Fantasy5‘s projections are a good indicator as to who is expected to perform well on any given matchday.

For example, on the opening weekend, Mohamed Salah will have to score in excess of 12.5 points in Liverpool’s clash with Norwich if the Egyptian is to help you on the way to the jackpot.

By contrast, the Canaries’ Lukas Rupp only has a points target of 4.5 to better.

Back your Fantasy know-how for the chance to win £10k with free-to-play game 4

Fantasy5 are the fastest media outlet for live Fantasy points, displaying all player points from the five games in question as well as the live score and time – as shown in the above image.

The competition is limited to one entry per person per round and selections must be submitted before kick-off of the first eligible match.

If two or more entrants correctly select five players who all score more than their points target, then the prize pot is split among all winners.

SCORING SYSTEM

If you know anything about Fantasy Premier League, the Fantasy5 scoring system is easy.

      Kane hasnt reported to training.
You think the move to City will happen?
I see Chelsea going for Kane in the last week of the Window. Lukaku and Haaland look out of reach.

We'd be interested in Kane but I don't think it'll ever happen. Spurs don't sell to us.

I reckon Kane to City has a very good chance of happening if Kane has his mind set. Levy won't want him playing them in GW1 though so may drag.

I can see us making a big push for Lukaku or Haaland still. Don't knew if it'll work but I reckon we'll try.

If he's not in training I reckon it's hard to start with Kane, but weirder things have happened.

        Got you covered though.

        Bachmann
        TAA / Shaw / Coufal / Veltman
        Salah / Fernandes / Harrison / Smith-Rowe
        Kane / Watkins

        Foster // Brownhill / Obafemi / Williams

Harrison could be Sarr/Benrahma/Fornals/Bryan (TOT coverage). Or Raphinha/Buendia or you're willing to downgrade Coufal to a 4.5m.

    Sanchez
    TAA Robbo Digne. (Ayling)
    Salah Son Mahrez Raphinha Beundia
    Antonio Toney. (Obafemi)

Mahrez and Robbo are ideally placeholders for Sancho and Shaw... But not set on it. Still like Mahrez and Robbo for 3-4 weeks.

Best placeholder for Kane in gw1?
    - Vardy (Wolves H)
    - Auba (Brentford A)
    - Werner (Palace H)

All of those are way off him in price though - are you going to keep 2 mill or more itb in the hope? The placeholder only works surely if it's a single transfer - you're looking at a double transfer come what may no? That puts mids in the mix too and not overpriced forwards. Try this

Son plus DCL = Kane plus ESR

      or this

Bruno plus DCL = Kane plus Greenwood

Kane going to City is really interesting in that it makes both him and Son essential to me. One becomes an absolute cheat code at City, the other gets pens and could play a more offensive role. Really changes up the structure, have barely moved from the 3-4-3 template I had when the game opened up but this would force a 4-4-2.

Something like this and can rotate ESR with one of the 4.5 defs

      Sanchez (4.0)
      TAA Shaw White Ayling (4.0)
      Salah Son Raphinha Buendia (ESR)
      Kane Watkins (4.5)

        Sanchez (4.0)

        TAA - Shaw - Digne - Veltman (4.0)
        Salah - Son - Raphinha (4.5, 4.5)
        Kane - Watkins - Toney

I am not ripping my draft for now. Definitely makes both of them more tempting than Bruno.
Are City actually willing to pay 120+ for him after shelling out a 100 for Grealish. If Chelsea do not get Haaland/Lukaku they could be in there too. All speculation atm.

Well okay, here's one I knocked up 2 weeks ago:

        Meslier Begovic

        Kane 7.5 Obafemi

The 5 defenders are finely calibrated to have 3 or 4 with decent fixtures each GW.
I'd tucked that draft away. Looking at it now, if Kane's at City, I'd put KDB in for Bruno, Stones in for Fofana and downgrade the 7.5 to Toney.

Rightly or wrongly, I have no interest in starting with either.

Even if Kane is moving, I can't imagine Spurs will sanction the move early enough for him to play against them in GW1. And if he's in open dispute with Spurs during pre-season then that impacts his ability to be immediately ready for City in subsequent gameweeks as well. For someone with a reputation as a slow starter playing under a manager with a reputation for easing players in, that's not ideal.

As for Son, quality though he is he'd be in a side that has just lost its best player (who he enjoyed a particularly strong connection with), has a brand new manager, is carrying quite a lot of average players (we're not talking about one of the top PL sides here), would be surrounded by negativity due to the Kane transfer as well as the general perception that they've been mismanaged in recent times, still presumably have to make signings who may or may not impact Son and have the champions up first in GW1.

With myriad options elsewhere, I can't see them being anything other than a wait and see for the start of the season.

        Fair point on Son

I've had him in almost from the start with half an eye on this. Not convinced by it for reasons you give and he's in good part a placeholder for Sancho Mahrez Havertz. Week 1 though I suspect Spurs might be up for it!

Remind me why I booked a holiday next week!

I still can't decide whether to go with Gundog to upgrade Pukki(placeholder) or trim 0.5m from somewhere to stick Toney in. I like the idea od City, Utd & Pool def & attack cover.

Liverpool full xi just as good, but one or two injuries and they can fall apart whereas one or two injuries for city means just drafting in other world class players from the bench

Maybe in previous years but last year City defense was another level, and if they get Kane, no more wasteful Jesus or false 9 up front in big games... chances actually finished

Liverpool (when all fit) is better for me, and as good as Kane is there's still things he can't do that a Jesus and Firmino can do in terms of energy

Yeah of course I'm saying it's not as simple as that obviously, otherwise spurs win the league with the best striker but they don't, and Liverpool won it with Firmino and city last year won without even playing a striker

Does this include Mane on last seasons's form?

He was horrid and for me his regression was huge in how they struggled for results. It's not as if they weren't making chances and that was as critical as the goals they conceded.

They didn't jus lose VVD they lost VVD and Mane in effect.

(also sceptical of how the midfield three stacks up over a run of games)

I'm saying Liverpool all fit and firing is for me at least on par with City, whether I think they are fit and firing and will gel instantly is another story, even before VVD got injured there were signs they were slipping so it will be hard for them to keep up with city

Man City haven’t spent I think more than 68m on one player. They are not going to get Grealish AND Kane in the same window. And if they do sign one of them, then I’m sure some of that will be from the prize money they got from winning the title.

And whilst I agree money ruins football and a lot of other things, nobody seems to be batting an eyelid when Man United spend big every single year.

The problem for most is that one club spends what they generate and the other is state funded.

The gap there is narrowing considerably - City generate figures in much the same ballpark nowadays. With CL United will pull ahead again but it's simplistic to say they spend their own money and City don't.

And of course all these clubs spend money they don't have anyway - it's just a question of their debt pile.

Meh, anything can happen. If they get hit by the sort or injuries Liverpool had last season they won't be walking away with anything.

Plus even when they had brilliant teams before, they didn't win the league *every* year.

A winning team is more than just getting the best personnel.

Teamwork, harmony and motivation are just as important. Just look at united - they dominated the league for decades despite not having the best players, and now that they do - they are nowhere near!

Could only do so if they off-load a bunch of VERY big names. And if no one takes the likes of Sterling, Jesus or Laporte, how will that affect team morale?

Mods - I know its been mentioned before but most of us have literally lost a third of our usable screen due to this Sky Sports permanent drop down top left. Its on my PC and my ipdad but seemingly not on my iphone which means the web designers responsive web design to different devices is broken!

Can you email me a screenshot please? Should be just one extra line that was added but not 1/3 of the screen. Understand it's very much a test and not set in stone as a permanent change so do let me know what you think, I always pass all of this along.

Looks like the transfer merry go round is picking up. If the like of Laporte (means Stones is nailed) and Traore move, it could force rethinks of the template.

It's a difficult one fitting triple Pool and Kane.
If Williams goes to Norwich I got this with 1 million left over to play with.
                May downgrade Bamford

                Foster Bachmann
                Williams White Thomas Robertson Alexander-Arnold
                Buendía Gilmour Raphinha Salah Harrison
                Toney Bamford Kane

If you think Kane's attacking output will increase because he joins city you are tripping. Tottenham Kane is the best player in the game along with Salah and his 6.9 PPG last season is as good as it gets. Not many fpl managers wanted him but put a blue shirt on and he's all of a sudden essential.

Hard disagree, unless your point is regarding playing time and potential injuries. Without those and on pens he's destroying it

will have Lewandowski type numbers at City. will get a ton of tap-ins and pens. he is somewhat of a playmaker as well and has more than just Son to aim at. the only thing that will prevent him from getting 300pts is gametime as he wont be flogged like he is at sp*Rs

He has way bigger potential at City if he plays same amount.

He'll also get rested (rotated) a lot more at City. Less minutes = less g/a. Same goes for Grealish, sadly.

What? Now suddenly everyone wants Kane? I do not understand. High price, Pep's rotations, I don't know if he will score penalties, he may be in poor shape at the start of the season.

It's just the hype, it will soon ware off once the realisation of Pep roulette takes affect.
Expecting Kane to perform better than he did last season at Spurs is wishful thinking.
