Fantasy Football Scout are delighted to be partnering with Sky Sports Fantasy Football this season – bringing you even more content on the popular, free-to-enter game.

This week, last season’s 44th-place finisher, Clean Sheet Wipeout, reveals his latest draft for the crucial first three Gameweeks of the season, before the Overhaul kicks in.

TEAM REVEAL

ROBERT SANCHEZ (£6.5m), LEWIS DUNK (£8.2m) and ADAM WEBSTER (£7.0m)

With two home fixtures in the opening three and the possibility of a couple of clean sheets during that time, I’m backing Brighton and Hove Albion with a defensive triple-up.

Lewis Dunk (£8.2m) and Adam Webster (£7.0m) are also both capable of hitting regular passing tiers which is a huge bonus for defenders.

RUBEN DIAS (£10.6m)

The Manchester City defender offers captaincy potential as he usually hits that passing tier.

As a result, when they keep a clean sheet you’re looking at a 20-point return!

If I don’t bring in a West Ham United asset for their match-up against Newcastle United, he will be my captain on the Sunday of Matchday 1.

TRENT ALEXANDER-ARNOLD (£10.5m)

The Liverpool right-back ended the season in top form and I expect him to hit the ground running again.

He is more than capable of getting attacking returns as well as clean sheets in the opening three fixtures.

However, I may consider Virgil van Dijk (£10.2m) as an alternative, providing he is fit of course.

BRUNO FERNANDES (£11.8m)

The most expensive midfielder in the game, who will be highly owned and will most likely be my captain in at last two of the opening three weeks.

It would be frightening to go without him in this format!

EMILIANO BUENDIA (£7.9m)

I really like Aston Villa’s first three fixtures against Watford (a), Newcastle United (h) and Brentford (h), and given the signings that they have made this summer I’m expecting returns.

Emiliano Buendía (£7.9m) is a great route into their attacking set-up at a reasonable price.

HARVEY BARNES (£8.6m)

The Leicester City winger was really unfortunate to be hit by injury last season, but after a summer’s rest and pre-season behind him, Harvey Barnes (£8.6m) could be a great differential to gamble on in the opening three weeks.

His is very capable of multiple attacking returns under Brendan Rodgers, as proven in 2020/21.

MOHAMED SALAH (£11.9m)

The 29-year-old is a must-have in my opinion and will be the most highly owned captain on the Saturday of the opening weekend.

That Norwich City match-up could be full of goals and I’d expect Mohamed Salah (£11.9m) to be involved.

IVAN TONEY (£7.9m)

If you aren’t going with an Arsenal player to start the season then surely the Friday captaincy option has to be Ivan Toney (£7.9m).

Brentford will want to start well and Toney is the main man.

At just £7.9m, he’s a great forward option.

DANNY INGS (£9.1m)

This one hurts as a Southampton fan, but now at Aston Villa Danny Ings (£9.1m) becomes a great option for the first three weeks.

He will surely play through the middle and given the service behind him, they should create plenty of opportunities.

He may well end up on penalty-taking duties too, should Anwar El Ghazi‘s game-time be limited.

Real stuck on this one, anyone else??

    Benrahma (3-5-2)
    OR
    Toney (3-4-3)

    And why?
    Thanks !

I would find it very hard to choose between them. FWIW I would prefer to have 'the midfielder' because if Toney turns out to be a bust you have very few options in the FWD position to replace him with.

they are not the same price, so id take the extra 0.5m personally.

Well, that's another reason too. I think Toney has the potential to be great value, especially if he gets his confidence up with a GW1 goal, but there are definitely fewer escape routes from him than a similarly priced mid.

This is a good point. Lots of good options around the 6m mark in midfield, not so much up front

They cant score against M.U last season start gw 1 -38.

When Thuchel take over start gw20, they score 26 goals. Newcastle score 28 and City score 52 goals.

They literally have a friendly in week 1 of the season in order to get match practice for their squad of returning players.
Wk 1 team will be majorly compromised, hard to pick who will even play.
Feels like folks are waiting to see how Lukaku integrates and also which defenders are starting most.

Makes sense to me. But if you guess right you might be ahead of the pack.

    4. Catastrophe
      • 13 Years

Mount I believe may not start GW1. Havertz/Werner/Ziyech could be a big risk, especially for the former with Lukaku coming in. Uncertainty about who will start at the back I guess (Chilwell could/should be a great option).

I have a mind to get Chilwell and James on my GW7 wildcard. Not starting with any - need to see how Lukaku affects things.

I completely agree, but with those fixtures (+ euros, +lack of presason) you might as well wait to see how Tuchel wants to setup. GW7 of course its a triple up.

Haven't been around much lately so hello all and hope you are enjoying those summers. Think I'm deciding on these remaining spots. I've succumbed to the Ings lure otherwise it'd be easy!

    Sanchez 4m
    TAA Tsimikas Shaw (White Ayling)
    ___Salah Bruno Benrahma ___
    Antonio Ings (4.5)

    15m to spend. Options...
    A. Mahrez Harrison
    B. As above but Raphinha over Harrison and drop a 4.5 for Amartey
    C. Gundo Barnes (+0.5 for the Grealish upgrade)
    D. Gundo Gwood (0itb)
    E. Switch 4.5 def to Cancelo. Then Mahrez and Gilmour in the midfield for 442.

I like this a lot, I have the identical set-up, deciding between the same two midfield slots with 15.0m in the bank. Have you considered Havertz and Raph as another option? Can then move Havertz to Grealish or Havertz > Son, Raph > 4.5

No troll, Alli’s been played a lot in pre season and hasn’t got Mourinho anymore, Benteke was good the end of last season and has been scoring on pre season.

How do arsenal fit Auba, laca, Pepe and ESR if they are getting Tammy in? Just intrigued

Smells a bit fishy this Abraham story. Nobody was ever going to pay £40m for a championship striker, and Arsenal were semi interested but not at those prices.... and then Chelsea man Jose makes a bid of £34m and its spread all over the papers that Arsenal have a window if they want him.

He is a pre-madonna, overvalued and not even all that good. Which ticks all the boxes to make him an Arsenal signing.

Biggest problem is: They dont need a new striker, they need CM CDM, xhaka has been rubbish last 4 years but they keep him while Bissousma available

    Start Raphinina or Benrahma??

Really enticed by West Ham's early fixtures, with Leeds not being so great...

    Thoughts?

Does DCL even start, he hasn’t had a preseason at all? Grealish I’m not so sure as i would like to wait and see where pep puts him. Watkins is going out wide so I’d rather have Antonio as he’s more central. Ings and Antonio are template but are better picks. I would play tsimikas as you are gambling so if he doesn’t start then white can come on anyway. Havertz is a no at the moment as he has some rough fixtures after the first. Start Toney

I think gundo is a clever pick especially if he played like that spell he had last season but its greenwood i have the issue as i cant see where he might play once cavani and sancho are in. I think greenwood is more of an expensive 1 week punt myself. Don’t think you can go wrong with either Leeds player

I’m not sure on Greenwood, just think he could do well first 3-4.

Quite fancy having Harrison in my team.

What about in a 4-2-3-1? Something like the below

            .............Cavani
            Sancho............Greenwood
            ..............Bruno
            .....Pogba.......McTominay

After 3 weeks you have no bench. You may also need to sell rotation risk G:s and forwards are injury prone. Looks like you are starting with either -4 or -8 or Gw4 WC strategy.

Agree about the bench. I’ll downgrade Greenwood or Gundo.

At the moment, I still think they are the two best forwards.

The Bench Boost and Triple Captain chips can each be used once a season and are played when saving your team on the my team page. They can be cancelled at anytime before the Gameweek deadline.

Can be. Right. Last year I overslept and missed the deadline to BB, costing me 21 points. Don't want to make the same mistake, but might un-boost if pre-deadline injuries scupper me.

    Any firmino love round here?

    Bachmann (Foster)
    Digne Shaw Amartey Tsimikas (White)
    Salah Bruno Mahrez Gundogan Barnes
    Firmino (Toney, Obafemi)

Shaw may well be rested and Toney can come in. No Jota means i can get Gundogan - and i can get some double liverpool attack coverage for those tasty fixtures.

can always do Mahrez -> Son, Firmino -> Ings in GW3 if firmino flops - prices being well.

I don't think anyone's on Firmino. They're OFF Jota after Bobby's brace last night.
