Who are the best FPL captain options for Gameweek 7?

Fantasy Premier League (FPL) managers are looking to Chelsea, Manchester United and West Ham United for the Gameweek 7 captaincy, and as per usual, the Captain Sensible article is here to highlight which assets have the best chance of hauling.

First, we will assess the fallout of the Gameweek 7 Captain Poll, before then analysing the best options, Rate My Team (RMT) and the Premier Fantasy Tools ratings ahead of Saturday’s 11:00 BST deadline.

THE CAPTAIN POLL

Romelu Lukaku (£11.7m) leads the captain poll so far, having gained just under half of total votes from our users at the time of writing.

Second-placed Cristiano Ronaldo (£12.7m) has received 24.01% of votes ahead of his home match against Everton.

Michail Antonio (£8.0m) occupies third-place with 7.49%, with the top-five list completed by Mohamad Salah (£12.6m) and Bruno Fernandes (£11.9m), with 3.26% and 3.14% respectively.

    I have shaw in def, with livra to replace him if not playing.

    Worth taking -4 to get wood in for bamford as one week punt? would solve shaw problem, and am WC next week.

    A) Should I take a minus 4?
    B) play ten men or even nine if Rudiger rested?
    C) Or just WC (would make lots of changes elsewhere)

      A - a -4 for a defender who is definitely out is worth it I think.

      My defence is almost as bad except Shaw is my 3rd defender so not sure what to do as he's 50/50 - at least the situation is clear for you!

    Taken -4 on TAA Ayling Shaw to Cancelo Alonso Rüdiger. Team and bench look gtg? Lukaku need to leave for another week- have WC when want TAA back. Unusual to spend all transfers in defence !

          Depends on your overall strategy imo

          If WC in ib, don't take a hit. If plan to keep wc a bit longer like me, take the hit. If you hate your team, WC now. But then it's tricky to wc now with liv vs city fixture and ib approaching.

            *0.8ITB potentially for Semedo > James after IB. Or should I get James in now and play Cancelo?
            TAA will come back in after United by either a son downgrade (after newcastle and westham), or Antonio for his tough run

              Nice. I'd WC into that this week, although not convinced that Son will be a good value pick.

              But be ready for a heartbreak if ron or raph go mad. That's how FPL works btw

                      Also cant afford it with this setup. I think my ideal defence gw8 would be Cancelo, Dias, TAA, James but obviously thats problematic if WC'ing this week with Cancelo/Dias vs pool and TAA/James injured.. I think I might try save the WC until next week. Its tough. I also dont rly have time rn supposed to be going to london in a minute for the weekend!

      I would. Likely to get 6 points, even if he doesn't you'll still get 2, so you've basically taken a 2 point hit to get a good player in, that's going into a great run of fixtures. Ayling is a definite 0 points.
