Who are the best FPL captain options for Gameweek 11?

Mohamed Salah (£12.9m) looks to be the leading captain candidate yet again for Gameweek 11, but are there any viable alternatives to the Egyptian for this upcoming round of Fantasy Premier League (FPL) action?

First, we will assess the fallout of the Gameweek 11 captain poll, before then analysing the best options, Rate My Team (RMT) and the Premier Fantasy Tools ratings ahead of Friday’s 18:30 GMT deadline.

THE CAPTAIN POLL

As you can see from the current results, Mohamed Salah is the runaway leader of the Gameweek 11 captain poll, having accumulated just under 50% of total votes from our users at the time of writing.

No other player has garnered more than 10% of votes at this stage, with Cristiano Ronaldo (£12.4m), fresh from his UEFA Champions League brace, in second backed by 8.19%.

Ivan Toney (£6.6m) occupies third-place with 7.86%, with Harry Kane (£12.1m) and Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang (£10.0m) just behind, with 4.01% and 3.9% respectively.

    Will the Conte 1st season progress apply without a preseason with the Tottenham boys?

    I didn't watch the games last night but see Spurs wobbled at 3-0 up.

    Do Spurs fans have the faith?

    I know Son and Kane are firm FPL favourites so they are only 1 match away from being highly backed.

          For top 6 the squad is good enough in my opinion, a good manager goes a long way

          You wouldn’t have said Leicester have the squad to win the title, or Leeds have the squad to do what they did last year etc, I think you underestimate what a great squad can do and don’t forget the transfer window is a few weeks away

      Hmm not much you could change except maybe a luxury transfer like upgrading Luiz or White, since you have Ramsdale. Maybe Luiz to Brownhill or Rice? Or White to Lamptey?

        Cheers for the reply. I was thinking maybe Luiz to Brownhill, gives me an extra 0.1m to play with. Lamptey could be a good shout, although not sure who I'd bench for him this week. Seems like everyone is going to have points on the bench this week.

        Cheers. I've considered upgrading Luiz but not sure I want to spread the cash like that. I'd probably just sell Raph instead if I was thinking of benching him this week. Could do Saka to ESR and Raph to Foden for example.

      You've got a decent team this week, maybe just bench Benrahma or Antonio for Duffy or Livra this week and roll the transfer. See how Spurs do first. They'll always be other moves to get to Son if prices change.

      Both will score well and probably end up being the top point scoring defenders. Chilwell a safer one to own and he doesn’t make bench appearances when rested. Capping them is tricky as you don’t know which one is gonna be the one making the big returns each week. Just own both.

      I had the choice to get one of them this week. I went with James in the end. Not because of the goals he's scored but because I think he's got a superb cross on him and when Lukaku is back I can see some assists via that connection. It's a tight call between them and the price difference was a consideration for me.
