The third Fantasy Premier League (FPL) deadline in eight days is upon us and there are plenty more to come throughout December.

As is always the case on a Friday, the comments section of our site is filled with requests for advice on transfer dilemmas and team help. So we’ve asked five-time top 1k finisher and Scout’s Deputy Editor, Tom Freeman, to answer some of them over the next hour.

He’ll be on hand to reply to comments below the line of this piece and will get through as many as he can until the next article goes up at 5pm GMT, with priority given to questions from Premium Members if there is a deluge.

As ever, you can chip in with your own opinions on the raft of RMT requests filtering through – and naturally, feel free to ignore the article subject matter and talk about any other wider FPL topics that you’d normally be musing on.

      I'd be tempted to play Antonio over Rudiger actually, as I think that Chelsea defence concede without Kante and Kovacic, but loads will prob disagree!

    This is a report on the leaders of various Fantasy Football Scout FPL mini-leagues and community competitions after Gameweek 14.

    ** FFS OPEN MINI-LEAGUE

    Srecko Kurtovic leads for a sixth week in the Fantasy Football Scout mini-league (https://fantasy.premierleague.com/leagues/68048/standings/c, league code gsnskx) and is now third overall.

    Fantasy Football Scout is now the Fourth Best League in FPL, as listed on the FPL Status page and based on the average score of the top five teams in each league. Our current top five are Srecko Kurtovic, Derek Ballesty, Halid Musić, Daniel Minde and Mark Cherry, all of whom are in the overall top 42.

    ** FFS COMMUNITY MEMBERS MINI-LEAGUE

    Daniel Masson-Abraham leads for an eighth week in the Fantasy Football Scout Members mini-league (https://fantasy.premierleague.com/leagues/361/standings/c), which is also open to all. The league code is visible in the widget on the FFS Home Page when signed in, but only those with a registered FFS account (paid or free) will be eligible for prizes.

    This is Daniel’s sixth week as NUMBER ONE IN THE WORLD. He is seven points ahead of Oscar (FPL FOCAL) and nine ahead of Srecko Kurtovic.

    Fabian Moreira-Phillips is the winner of the November prize with 328 points in Gameweeks 11 to 14. He scored 71, 100, 70 and 87 without playing any chips and has risen from 356k to 8k since Gameweek 10. Please contact geoff@fantasyfootballscout.co.uk to claim your prize (an Amazon voucher).

    **FFS CUPS

    Gameweek 14 was a free week as far as the FFS Cups were concerned; the first round of the FFS Members Cup and the second round of the FFS Open Cup will both take place in Gameweek 15.     These FFS Cups are organised by Fantasy Football Scout and should not be confused with similarly named League cups listed under the Cups tabs on FPL’s Points and Pick Team pages.

    ** LAST MAN STANDING

    The highest scorer in Gameweek 14 was Michel Etienne with 95 points. Etienne has had one top 5k finish (4,574th in 2018/19).

    The safety score was 55, with 117 teams to be removed and 1,339 going through to Gameweek 15. It will remain open till Gameweek 22, but new entrants must pass all the previous safety scores (https://torresmagic.webs.com/lmsupdate.htm) to qualify.

    ** HEAD-TO-HEAD LEAGUES

    Martin Stubbs still leads League 1 in MIR’s FFS Head-to-Head Leagues (https://www.fantasyfootballscout.co.uk/head-to-head-leagues/) and has increased his lead over Cak Juris to five points

    Two managers in League 8 (Andre Cooley and Rohan Chatarjee) and another two in League 9 (Kapil Ramcharan and Ryan Rojo) have won all 14 of their matches so far.

    ** TOPS AND VETS

    Tabz Hashimi (tab.hashimi) leads for a fifth week in my Top 10k Any Season mini-league (https://fantasy.premierleague.com/leagues/1378/standings/c, league code kgmryk) and is now 42nd overall.

    Timothy Leichtfried is the new leader in my Multiple Top 10k Finishes mini-league (https://fantasy.premierleague.com/leagues/1386/standings/c, league code 03t1fd), which is for teams with two or more top 10,000 finishes, and has risen to 1,361st overall. He has had five top 15k finishes, two of them in the top 7k, in six seasons and is 125th in the FFS Live Hall of Fame.

    Sam Jinks and Anders Söder Wintergren are the new joint leaders in PDM’s Top 1k ANY season mini-league (https://fantasy.premierleague.com/leagues/10031/standings/c, league code 01ef8y) and are 3,074th overall.
    Sam finished 186th in 2016/17 and 2,471st in 2018/19, while Anders came 518th in 2013/14.

    Julian Hancock leads for a ninth week in Jed Alexander (LIvinginapool)’s Top 100 Any Season mini-league (https://fantasy.premierleague.com/leagues/194472/standings/c, league code pztxjt) and has risen to 992nd overall.

    2009/10 FPL champion Jon Reeson (Westfield Irons) leads for an eleventh week in Simon March’s FPL Champions League (https://fantasy.premierleague.com/leagues/2594/standings/c).

    David Stanton is the new leader in Chaballer’s Hall of Fame Top 1k mini-league (https://fantasy.premierleague.com/leagues/39527/standings/c, league code 1zpaad) and has risen to 4,397th overall. He finished 281st in 2018/19 and 7,065th in 2019/20 and is 462nd in the FFS Live Hall of Fame.

    Gerry Kerley leads for a fourth week in Skooldaze’s FPL Vets 2006 or before mini-league (https://fantasy.premierleague.com/leagues/25315/standings/c, league code hz9bz2) and is now 5,833rd overall.

    ** MODS, CONS AND FAMILY

    Chris Atkinson (RMT’s Professor) is the new leader in the FFS Mods & Cons mini-league (https://fantasy.premierleague.com/leagues/366/standings/c).

    And last but not least, Obay Eid (FPL_Milanista) has regained the lead from J Martin (Pilot Flame) in the FFS Family mini-league (https://fantasy.premierleague.com/leagues/342/standings/c) and is now 267th overall. He also led from Gameweek 1 to Gameweek 12.

    ** JANUARY TO MAY LEAGUE

                    Hi Tom, Douglas Luiz had impressive stats this week. Is he likely to keep his place and post similar creativity / threat. I'm wondering if he might be suitable for my 5th mid spot as a Mbuemo replacement. The 1m change would be useful and Villas fixtures look great from wk 17.

                      Yeah, Luiz is interesting, as he played a little more advanced v City, with Nakamba in the holding role. On some set-pieces, too. Prob is Ramsey had played well prior to that, so transferring him in now is maybe a little risky.

                        It is quite rare but I have 2 FTs, zero cash in the bank and dont know what to do with my FT that I stand to lose:

                        Here is how I broke down my squad:
                        Bucket 1: "Should not sell based on form/fixtures" - James/TAA/Cancelo/Livra/Reguilon/Salah/Son/Ronaldo/Pukki
                        Bucket 2: "Wish I could sell, but so cheap that there is nobody to buy at or below their price" - Sanchez/MBeumo/Gallagher/Normann
                        Bucket 3: TONEY

                        Should I use my FT to dowgrade Toney to King and build on the future? Bearing in mind that King plays MCI and Toney plays TOT this week.
