FPL Daily: No Double Gameweek 22 for Liverpool or Arsenal, new player prices

We round up the key Fantasy Premier League (FPL) talking points of the day in FPL Daily, a series that will serve non-Premier League matchdays and days when we don’t bring you a team news/press conference round-up.

NO DOUBLE GAMEWEEK 22 FOR LIVERPOOL

There has yet to be any announcement on the matches and scale of the widely touted Double Gameweek 22 but if and when we do get any fixture news, it won’t feature Liverpool or Arsenal.

A Covid outbreak in the Reds’ camp has put paid to tomorrow’s EFL Cup semi-final between Jurgen Klopp’s side and the Gunners, which will now take place on Thursday 13 January.

As a result, the second leg of that tie will now go ahead on Thursday 20 January, which is in the ‘free’ midweek after Gameweek 22.

There is no immediate rush to get Arsenal and Liverpool’s outstanding league fixtures rearranged in the short term, at least: UEFA seemed to suggest on Tuesday that it may open the door to Premier League matches being scheduled on Champions League nights to deal with the fixture congestion caused by Covid-19.

NEW FPL PLAYER PRICES

Three new January window signings had their prices announced on Wednesday.

Jonas Lossl’s (£4.5m) pricing as a back-up Brentford goalkeeper will be greeted by a collective shrug of the shoulders by the Fantasy community but there may be a bit more interest in the two new Everton signings who are now listed in FPL.

Full-backs Vitaliy Mykolenko and Nathan Patterson were priced up by FPL at £5.0m and £4.5m respectively, with the extra outlay for the Ukrainian partly because of his proven pedigree (Patterson has only started four league matches in his entire career) but perhaps mostly because he will face less of a challenge for a start at left-back; Lucas Digne (£5.0m), surely, is on his way out of Merseyside.

Patterson has club stalwart Seamus Coleman (£4.9m) as competition for his place at right-back, so he may have to bide his time initially.

The Toffees are top of our Season Ticker over the next five Gameweeks but have kept only three clean sheets all season, so have much to prove.

CHELSEA HALFWAY TO A BLANK GAMEWEEK 27… SORT OF

Chelsea defeated Spurs 2-0 in the first leg of their EFL Cup semi-final and are just 90 minutes away from an appearance at Wembley in late-February.

That cup final clashes with Gameweek 27 of FPL, which should Chelsea progress, would give the Blues the following run before we get any news about fixture rearrangements:

Thomas Tuchel’s side can only ‘double’ in Gameweek 22 when glancing at the above lookahead, although they could have an outstanding fixture planted in their free midweek after Gameweek 27 (against Brighton or Arsenal) to ensure they don’t blank.

The Blues suffered more fitness misery at the back on Wednesday: already without Andreas Christensen (£4.6m), Trevoh Chalobah (£4.7m), Reece James (£6.2m) and Ben Chilwell (£5.6m) because of injury, they lost Thiago Silva (£5.6m) to a positive Covid-19 test before the game and then Cesar Azpilicueta (£5.7m) to an apparent hamstring strain during it – although Tuchel later said he hoped it was just cramp.

Kai Havertz (£7.8m) was also substituted with a broken finger, while N’Golo Kante (£4.9m) also missed out because of a positive coronavirus test result.

Spurs at least avoided any injuries of their own but were outclassed ahead of the two sides’ Gameweek 23 league meeting, something Antonio Conte mentioned after full-time:

“This type of game can show us the difference. The gap between us and a top club like Chelsea. I think we struggle, we struggled a lot against Chelsea. They showed to be stronger, much stronger than us. For sure you have to be disappointed but also understand that there is an important difference.” – Antonio Conte

    TAA Cancelo Dias
    Son Jota Bowen KDB

Chelsea to turn into blankety blank soon.

But Chelsea and Manchester United could well have dgw22.

So is it fixtures or form players that come through with sgw22 Manchester City, Arsenal and Liverpool too?

West Ham won't double either but triple attack on Leeds could pay dividends.

Luckily I'm well set up for most of that if it pays off.

If Ben Crelin’s DGW prediction is correct, would you do this for -8?

Leicester are down to bare bones with injuries, players going to AFCON. It will only take a few covid cases to take them below 13 players - best advice I’d to wait.

All I know is that if I was publicly critical of my employer and brought them the sort of attention they can do without, I'd quite rightly be read the riot act and probably invited to consider my position. Nothing to do with free speech in this instance.

Free speech doesnt mean that others have to provide a platform. Free speech lets you stand on a soapbox in tralfagar square, not on private property, on tv, in the media or ffs

        Thats bull

Having a plan that changes is still a vast improvement on no plan. Failure to plan is a plan to fail

Having a loose plan that changes is one thing, but not having the necessary information to actually make a plan is a totally different issue, which is where we are at the moment

We don't even know which games will be in the next game week or which players will be fit & available

please advise the fixtures in GW22 then, most appreciated if you could do that

… and while you are at it which teams will have their fixtures cancelled in the future and which players will be injured in the games between now and then and which players will catch Covid

…. and at the same time please let me know what the lottery winning number are next week too 🙂

you said we know 95% of the fixtures - we don’t.

Until a couple of days ago common thinking was that Liverpool & Arsenal would have a double in 22 (who against though? nothing for sure) and that has all gone to pot.

When we are past the FA Cup, when doubles are announced and a day or so before the deadline - that is when we should start planning properly

fail to plan properly … properly plan to fail

There are 16 gw's remaining..... we know fixtures for every week, the unscheduled number is a small proportion.

That’s why there is little chat because generally speaking plans can’t be formulated without knowing what’s ahead….. which DGW games, which postponements - obviously you can make fair assumptions and that’s not to say people haven’t contemplated certain actions for certain scenarios but to contextualise this into the chat….

If Salah has EO>200% and goes big in the DGW against Leeds and Norwich, you could see your rank drop even if you C him as most will probably TC him that GW. TC will be about damage limitation/making small gain if so is the case. Crazy.

Ok here's a relevant question, I think, with or without planning.

Would you BB this bench full of DGWers (except maybe Guaita)?

      Guaita Cancelo Tierney ESR

fwiw my starting XI will have at least 4 SGWers (TAA Jota Bowen Antonio). Not going to FH since I like LIV & WHU fixtures, plus only have 1 FH left.

      Thoughts are appreciated.

You mean bench full of SGWers apart from Guaita? Honestly I think no, at that point you might as well wait until you have a normal SGW where you're struggling to decide who to bench with good options that have good fixtures across the board, I think it'll be more valuable to you. Of course if you wanted you could plan for the next big DGW instead with a wildcard to use it instead. I still think a lot of us will end up needing our benches this week.

There is an argument floating around of FH in Dgw 22 now that Arsenal and Pool will have single gws. However if we FH and load up on Dgw players would mean no Trent, Jota, Bowen or Antonio who could easily haul given the opposition they are facing this GW..is it really worth it to FH in that case? Would you have any Sgw players in your FH teams?

FH will allow a good mix of the best for DGW and the best for SGW - there is likely to be a fair few fixtures added into the current fixtures with likely headliners

        Utd v Brentford
        Che v Brighton
        Norwich v Leicester
        Spurs v Burnley

But you can’t ignore pool vs Brentford

That is my point as well. Can't generalize for everyone but most of our teams have decent representation from these teams along with Pool and West Ham who have easy fixtures on paper..maybe we don't need a FH at all just to load up on junk Dgwers who would probably get outscored by the single GW assets we already own

I was leaning towards FH, but if the doubles that are still on the table happen then I'll have 7 with a DGW, plus TAA and Bowen. Think a -4 will do at that state, I don't see myself gaining too much otherwise and a lot in my minileagues have either used at least one FH already or aren't well set-up for a DGW now (or both). I think a lot have forgotten too that we may end up with some fairly empty BGWs down the line, and an FH can be just as valuable during those weeks as in DGWs.

Let's see what happens in the next week but right now I think I'll just move Salah and one other out for -4 and go with that.

A thought on the regularly touted idea of a seperate forum thread for RMTs.

The general issue with this is the control, and expecting it to be followed. My counter suggestion is to have seperate threads depending on type of approach:

      - Casual, anything goes light hearted
      - Thorough, posts under 100 wordcount are frowned upon

I am sure there are other deviding lines. That should make different places attractive to different members and set a posting expectation that is fairly agreeable to all.

Just heard on Talk Sport news article referring to Fantasy Football creating anxiety and low mood. Can people relate to that in this Community and how does it affect you? I know from my own personal point of view that I’m always checking my points on G/W day and I do become quite moody when it’s not going my way. I do try and convince myself that it’s only a game but I’m also a very competitive person and have been involved in sport for a good chunk of my life, so I do find it very difficult to switch off, so my question to you is, how serious do you take it and does it affect you in a negative way?
Hope the mods don’t remove this as it isn’t meant to be contentious…

It depends on how happy you are as a person and how you can cope with variance.

I enjoy the planning aspect of FPL a lot but once it's locked in, I'm able to enjoy the football regardless of the results. I'm a football fan first and that helps a lot in terms of keeping me upbeat.

An exciting 2-2 draw between Chelsea and Liverpool where I lose all my clean sheets I still enjoy.

It has also greatly helped me that I have a healthy relationship with gambling/sports betting. I fully embrace FPL as gambling and can laugh it off when things don't go my way. It wasn't always like that. I quit FPL for 3 years due to losing my enjoyment of the game.

Since coming back, it's just been fun. I wish others were also able to enjoy it as I do.

Yeah when I have a bad gameweek or two I just switch off completely from FPL to not let it affect me mentally. Like recently when I had 5 huge red arrows in a row I purposely didn't look at any of mini leagues during this time or any FPL websites/ Youtube videos and just logged into FPL once a week to do my transfers then left it at that. Sometimes you just have to accept that things aren't going your way but also know that your luck will change soon for the better. I find this mentality really helps during the tough times.

Good idea. Ultimately, no amount of worrying can change anything. Switching off can be a really quick win to just move on from it, instead of giving your brain too many chances to get sucked back into worrying about it. Eventually, you get a few greens and can expose yourself to it again when you're in a better place to deal with it.

      6. Black Knights

Yes I've spoken about it on here before. It's easy to get down about 'what might have beens'. You can torture yourself with the transfer you didn't make, the captaincy decision you got wrong or the benched points you gave yourself. I recently had it when i didn't bring in Eduoard, despite telling my mates i was about to. You know it's only a game, you know there are more important things to worry about, but you can't help it.

I came out of quite a bad relationship last year. I've realised that in my case, I was already starting from quite a low mood generally, so a negative FPL experience just compounded my unhappiness. I needed FPL to be my oasis so when a decision went badly, I couldn't even fall back on that to cheer me up. Now that the relationship is over and I'm feeling generally more positive about things, I feel like it's easier to deal with the odd bad outcome. I'm not so reliant on it to making me happy so it isn't as damaging when it goes wrong.

A lot of things happened to me last year that firmly put FPL into perspective. I had just seen KdB's haul against Southampton in March when police arrived at my door to arrest me. When I was released, I realised that having the liberty to play FPL was a luxury in itself, so I have been way less upset about bad outcomes since. I'm always trying to help my friends see the perspective in things, and am here often enough if anyone ever wants to chat about their anxiety or low mood.

        Yes, I can relate

Unfortunately a bad game week does effect my mood and vice verca, it’s something I’m working on and one of my New Years resolutions is to consume less time with fantasy football as a whole podcasts etc

At the end of the day I feel there is to much luck in this game to get worked up about it

For example I’m also a keen golfer, I want to get my handicap below 5 this year, it’s on me and there won’t be any luck involved where as you can pour hours into fpl and then if you don’t get the luck it’s pretty much time wasted, just look at all the content creators absolutely obsessing over stats only to finish somewhere around the top 50k

Yeah I think that's the fundamental point - the time invested just isn't worth the output. I find it easy to obsess over the FPL site and the data side of things, constantly trying to find the perfect team, but I know that my best seasons tend to come when I'm far more hands off.

On the other hand, watching content creators spend thousands of hours obsessing over stats only to finish 200k is one of the best boosts to my mood I get all year! :-p

On a serious note FPL is a tool I and many others use to stop gambling. I like that I have something on the line, have competition and can back my hunches.

That's why FFS regularly posting content linked to FPL gambling really annoys me. Its a gateway to start gambling properly, especially for those who have recently turned 18.

Never thought of this before. But you make a valid point.... FFS should not be endorsing gambling IMO. It has a moral obligation

I reckon you have to have some perspective on it - at the end of the day, its a totally pointless and unimportant waste of time anyway 🙂

After recognising that, I think you just have to accept that football is a very random game, with thousands of variables and possible outcomes. If it wasn't, then the bookies wouldn't make huge profits every season from people who think they can predict what's going to happen.

I also think that a large part of sucess in FPL is just being present: hitting the deadlines, maximising as much as possible on the DGWs and chips, knowing who is out injured, suspended etc. If you just do those very basics and don't do anything silly, you'll probably reach the top 100,000 and a single poor GW compared to everyone else will be quickly forgotten about.

Bizarrely, it probably has the opposite effect for me. It helps that I am able to remove my emotions and laugh at misfortune/wrong decisions. I've struggled previously with mental health, but having FPL as an outlet, with my blog (however small it may be), and contributions to the Scout Academy etc has really benefitted me.

The majority of the community are also brilliant people. I've recently had a few family issues, but the amount of well wishes and support I've had from members of the community has been really touching.

The family and friends I have in mini leagues etc also creates friendly rivalry and is always a conversation starter whenever we catch up. It gives us an excuse to meet up and watch games together too, and the social aspect is very important, especially in these times, and throughout the pandemic.

I appreciate that some won't have such a network around them, and a few bad GW's when all you see on twitter etc is team's smashing it out the park, could lead to a sense of loneliness etc. but it's important to remember it's just a game. A free game. There are a lot more important things in life

I suffered mood swings when I took the game seriously. I’d be here and on twitter literally every single day for hours on end.

I’d be angry when I would have a bad gameweek and it would literally ruin my day/weekend.

On good days id be happy and want to spend all day/week on my team

Neither are good and a serious incident in my life made me reconsider my priorities and reflect. It made me think how ridiculous it was to put in so much time into a game which gave little reward and huge amount of emotional anguish

From that moment I reflected and decided I’d take a step back. I have taken up hobbies and interest which are less taxing emotionally. It was one of the best decisions I made

This game is a dark black hole at times and you can get lost in it. Spending hours/ a whole day tinkering teams but with little return for your investment of time. Let’s not beat around the bush it’s an addiction and in my opinion and experience not a healthy one

Its good to hear that you made that decision for the better.

Do you think that all that additional time you spent on the game at that point made you any more successful than you are now, having taken more of a back seat approach?

I think there's a lot of over-analysis which goes on which leads to little benefit in people's FPL performance but as you say, that commitment of time which then makes a bad outcome much harder to take. When you look at the winner each year, they often seem to come from nowhere (rank history wise) to win - it suggests to me that they got a good start because they got lucky, then they decided to be around for the deadlines, pick the obvious guys etc. That's little more to it than that.

The time and effort I put it definitely helped my success.

Everyone’s experience will be different to some extent but my I’d be watching every game on tv, the highlights, going over stats. I’d more often than not have good gameweeks, I’d be top of my mini leagues on most occasions, I won quite a bit of money. I’m not saying I was an amazing fpl player but I did well in comparison to most. However it meant bad gameweeks just felt absolutely terrible for me. It would stick with me throughout the week

Taking a back seat approach has made me miss out on the top 10k for the last couple of seasons but the game has become more competitive so that is another factor

Over analysis can be a hindrance I agree but that’s what being an fpl fan antic is all about. That’s the fun when you are so invested in the game. Sometimes it works and sometimes it doesn’t that’s true but in previous seasons as mentioned above it would usually work in my favour over the season.

I've been guilty of taking it too seriously and overreacting to things in the past - had a few meltdowns where I've 'quit' mini leagues, said I'm not playing any more etc but I always came crawling back. I have been much calmer this season though, for a couple of reasons. Firstly, my two close friends who I always consider my main 'rivals' in FPL have been much more open and collaborative about playing the game this year. In the past we were always quite cagey about talking about our strategies, planned moves etc but this year we regularly run our transfer ideas by each other and give genuine feedback, so as much as we are still competing with each other it is much friendlier competition. The other things I have done this season is to try to be more realistic about my expectations each week - I always tended to expect too much from my team, I would think that all my differentials would haul, every single captain pick would pay off etc. This year, I try to picture a hypothetical 'worst case' scenario at the start of each gameweek and reconcile myself to it in advance just in case it does happen.

None of which makes me immune to occasionally feeling frustrated, angry or regretful but I do find these negative feelings are less frequent and have less impact on me.

It definitely effected my moods in the early days, Ive been playing it properly since 2012 but i would say over the last 4 years ive made sure that if I get a bad score my immediate reaction is ok , i think the team is still good, lets see what the next game week delivers and park it and move on. one thing i do is I will make sure i dont look at how far ive dropped until as late as possible . if i have a good game week then its a different story, I wont lie.

also fatherhood has made me care a lot less about the game but also a more welcome distraction from the insanity of looking after toddlers! Things I NEVER do and have decided I will stop playing if i do it is captain a player against the team Ive supported all my life (Liverpool) because if FPL becomes more important than that (and im certain it has for a lot of people on here) then I feel all enjoyment of the game will be taken from me apart from whether or not ive a green or red arrow and I dont want that to happen

It's a lot easier to be magnanimous when your enjoyment comes from spending time with others. For example, I have no problems whatsoever enjoying board games or videos games with people in the same room. Losing might increase my positive mood as much as winning.

However, when video games go online, there's more distance, and the reward becomes more tied to the victory, especially if you're playing with strangers. Then in FPL, we are playing as individuals against the machine, but comparing to each other during and after the fact. There's no interaction in the gameplay, with the only potential human interaction being meta discussions down the pub about each other's solo game. Otherwise, we are playing against strangers, most of whom seem to believe that FPL is strongly correlated with an intellectual ability like chess

I expect a lot of people feel the frustration of not being able to share one's story during live gameplay with their neighbours. When you're in the same room (physically or virtually), you can have a small outburst of emotion, it's acknowledged and enjoyed and everyone moves on. Your experience has been vindicated and legitimized. With FPL, you're on your own, and you need the variance to be on your side or else you will suffer with next-to-no sympathy or any other kind of equaliser, and no human interaction to ground you and give perspective. It's a bad game. Haha! Draft football seems to be a better game, but FPL Classic is just easier to manage.

I am an addict & I don’t see this changing because I love PL and FPL.

Struggled with severe depression before & kinda used the game as an escape from real life issues. I am never happy when I have a bad gameweek but I found a way to help myself with that even though most times the game seems like a waste of time.

In the end, it has a huge luck factor so no matter how much we plan, sometimes, it won’t go our way.

I’ve come to accept whatever I get from this game but most importantly to enjoy it & this community

You seem to have a positive attitude to just enjoy it from what I see from you on here 🙂

I find my enjoyment from trying to find unusual routes to points, and if it doesn't pay off, then it's a reminder to myself that I didn't care enough in the first place to make sure I don't lose. It's almost a win-win!

Just wanted to give my two cents on the research paper they are referencing, I think people are running away with the study itself.

The article itself states in its opening abstract, ""Descriptive statistics revealed that only a minority of players experienced mental health concerns toward fantasy football"..."

Low Mood and Anxiety for example are asked on a 1-3 scale. Those with low "time playing" are averaging a mean score of 0.24, whereas those with "High playing" is at 0.52...

Also, while the statistics indicate significant results, the "effect sizes", or rather the magnitude of effects between the variables are very small, tiny in some cases (e.g. d = 0.06 for FF time playing & anxiety).
            https://www.simplypsychology.org/effect-size.html

Feel like a lot is being made of some very small numbers. When numbers are this low, any jump can be seen as "significant", but general anxiety and low mood is still very much on the "very low" side of the scale. More research needed, perhaps looking at causation more than simply correlation of factors.

Oh it's the follow-up to the mental health study that was advertised on this site. I would have plenty of reservations about the felicity of the experiment based on the method used in the initial mini-study, which seemed to be very flawed. Any news on who the lucky winner for a single FFS membership is from participating in this new one? 😀

I feel like I'm coming back after a 9 year break. My primary reason to not play FPL is the amount of time it can suck in. I sweep past my mini leagues anyways, so I'm purely competitive with myself.

Re: mood, it only lasts a few minutes after a bad result, but I really like how FPL activates my interest in football. I think this is what the Premier League try to do with the game, and it works well on me, haha.

There's too much luck in this game, I wouldn't be surprised if you finished one season under 1k, and another below 100k. Once you accept that, it's just easier to play the game. I think many years prior, it was easy to hit under 10k, resources were limited, now a player can have an assist, and they are already going on people's watchlist. Podcasters are eager to claim how they talked about a certain player but bemoan they didn't get him in, I'm like dude you talk about every freakin player. Of course, some will do well....I'm clearly off on a tangent, I will stop.

I just remind myself it's a game that is for entertainment.
Actually think some content providers can ramp up people's anxieties, "pressure" to do well with the sheer volume of data/stats that they put out in order to increase the appeal of their respective sites/videos etc.
I think it was a simpler game with less possibilities for stress before when there wasn't the vast amount of data/stats being thrown about. Some people just let themselves get swamped by all the tables/algorithms/data.
Also the longer you've played the easier it is to remember bad weeks/runs happen, can't control the actual PL players and there is a significant element of luck/variance.

Life is full of disappointments. It’s how you deal with them that can help your well being and not blame it on the problem itself.
If I drive to work and every day I hit a bottle neck at the same set of traffic lights that can make me late, should I sit there and fume like the world is against me, or should I recognise this recurring event and not act surprised at my misfortune?
It’s not fpl as such that creates anxiety it’s our irrational investment in events that are beyond our control. Supporting a football team will give the same results. The key is to change your own mindset on these things and not blame the thing itself.

It's an interesting merging of the real and virtual world, a massive trend to how we live and interact.

I quite like the fact that's it's a neutral enough zone for top level football talk and the chat is quite good at bringing people back to reality quick enough.

I think FFS has been hugely beneficial, especially in lockdown and it brings a worldview and melting of cultures together over the Premier League. Which is the global league really, unless your focus is on South American/Spanish/Italian football.

But you can't expect it all to go your own way. With just 11 starting picks and fixtures falling away then there is disappointment built in so it's important to keep perspective and enjoy the goals scored and the challenges in equal measure, if you can.

            All very heavy.

I agree generally with Az. I also think “studies” based on surveys are generally garbage and arbitrary anyway. Typically, your happiness depends on your outlook, not your hobbies. Can a hobby affect your life in positive and negative ways? Sure. But I don’t think FF addiction is quite as prevalent an issue in that respect.

Same with anything really. An over obsession beyond ‘normal’ can bring you down.

At the same time you need to have perspective, millions of people around the world are starving or living in war like conditions with the constant threat of death for themselves and their family.

I've posted it a couple of times on here before but personally the way I've learnt to deal with FPL disappointments is to appreciate how little we control of the game.

It's not popular to bang on about the luck factor in FPL but certain aspects to it are simply completely luck based.

Salah missing his first penalty since 2017 *in the same week his effective ownership dropped considerably* is simply unlucky.

So if you accept unlucky things can happen to you then surely you should be able to do the reverse.

If Salah scores a hattrick and it's a week where the captaincy is say Salah vs Ronaldo 50/50 split, you have to accept that there was an element of luck to you choosing Salah and getting that hattrick in that specific week when others chose an equally acceptable captain choice.

Lots of decisions aren't 'genius' or 'maverick' choices in FPL, you've simply used some rational thinking and then hoped for the best. Sometimes it comes off and sometimes it doesn't. Accepting you've been lucky when it does come off hopefully will mean you can equally accept the bad outcome wasn't completely your fault and sometimes these things just happen.

Hey all, early planning (obviously) but i really need Son in my team and planning to do Gundog >> Son in gw22 but need 1.8m to fund it. Have a strong front 8. Best solution:

A: DCL >> Dennis/King but DCL likely to have a double
B: Antonio >> Dennis/King..good fix gw22 and ahead + getting back in form
C: Foden >> 6.3m mid but not sure who...martenelli as i can bench him?

Jota Raph* Bowen Foden -- Gundog
          Dcl* Ron* Antonio

          *likely dgw players

Ya Ronaldo is a pure luxury that doesn't guarantee points.

Burnley with a double ey. Sadly Pope or the defence aren't a good pick anymore(but that same issue with WH didn't stop me and others from picking their defence haha).

Sanchez, Kane, Son, Dennis, Ronaldo, De Gea, Pope, Maddison

Also, how many DGW players do you own?

                    Important caveat:

"Please note should any of these teams' FA Cup third-round matches this weekend be postponed, their Premier League fixture listed below will be affected."

So could still lose some of these doubles over the weekend!

                      I'm currently looking at

Antonio>Dennis and Bowen>Maddison as West Ham have caught up with their games after Norwich.

I immediately went and checked Cornet' price, totally forgetting that he is gone for AFCON. So no Burnley players I guess.

Their fixtures are horrendous and I can see them getting slaughtered.

Cornet could be ‘that’ player for the last 10 that tries to drag Burnley out of relegation so i might go for him then.

Well finding funds and turning Davis into one of the Watford forwards could help with that. Given the doubles they have coming.

                      Morning all,

From 23 City’s fixtures look pretty solid. I’m tempted to do Regi to Dias to get double city defence (cancello & Dias) and to sell Foden for a mid that doubles this week to free up the funds for the move.

Are there any other city players people are considering from 23?

(Hoping to save WC to 27/28 when Chelsea return)

                      Many thanks,

With a grand total of two DGW players in my team for 22, using my first FH seems like a good option now.....

Depends on the number of DGW players you already have. If you have 7 or more already, I would consider not playing it.
