FPL

Which FPL players are on free-kicks, corners and penalties in 2022/23?

Fantasy Premier League (FPL) is live for 2022/23 and so too is our table of players on free-kicks, corners and penalties at their respective clubs.

The players are listed in order of prominence at dead-ball situations, based on information gathered from last season’s matches. Data closer to Gameweek 38 is given more weight.

The list will be updated constantly as new information becomes available on assigned set-piece takers and we’ll have one eye on pre-season to see if there is a shake-up in the table below or if any new signings like Erling Haaland are muscling their way in on the dead-ball duties.

Nottingham Forest are a good example: Joe Lolley and Brennan Johnson are listed as direct free-kick takers but it was loanees Joe Garner and Philip Zinckernagel who were chiefly responsible for these in the Championship last season and they have now departed the club.

This is a list that is also supplied to the FPL site, where you’ll find explanatory notes on the penalty takers featured here.

It's safer to have at least 1 premium midfielder and 1 striker. So easier to get salad in for example if you already have son or kdb. But it sure is a good looking forward line

    Hey fellas

Would you rather have as a midfield :

    A) KDB - Olise - ASM - Son (Murphy)

    Or

    B) Diaz - ASM - Son - Martinelli (Murphy)

The big difference being it forces me to get rid off Havertz
    Thoughts? 😀

    Looking for some bench fodders.

Anyone in the 4.5 (MID) and 4.0 (DEF) brackets worth keeping an eye on?

    Much appreciated.

Of course, don't bank on them being good first team assets. Think Brandon Williams and Billy Gilmour last season.

Too many risks for me. Questions on minutes for Kulu and Perisic. Questions on how Jesus and Haaland will settle for their sides. Mendy when Chelsea are an unknown quantity defensively.

Could pay off but could be taking a hit on GW2. Or worse early wildcard. Personally I've done this so many times and the risk has paid off about 20% of the time. Banking on known quantities in GW1 and tone down the risks slightly would be my advice.

Beats me too. Most of them defending him on the basis that he was injured most of the season, but completely oblivious to the fact that Wolves are terrible attacking-wise team.
And Neto gets regularly subbed pre-70 even when fit.

He got 6 attacking returns from 900 minutes of football last year which is decent for the price point. No one saying he is Salah, but he looks ok for the price with okayish fixtures (I don't currently have him by the way)

let's broke us by loading up on City, Liverpool, Arsenal, Chelsea, Spurs assets until GW8 wildcard. Even if that means a non-playing bench right?

I don't see the point of building a bench this year since we'll be Wildcarding vetween 7 and 10 and we will have a better view of who are the gems and 4.0 lords by then and that rotation won't hit hard in the beginning of the season.

Downside of the strategy is that it will be hard to jump on the gems/lords bandwagons

Quite Like this Kane & Haaland Draft

    Raya
    TAA Perisic Tomiyaso Cash
    Salah Rashford saka Neto
    Kane Haaland

Lacks some of the big hitter Defenders and considering you could have Cancelo + Chillwell/James over kane prob the better route to go but worth looking at for opening games.

Do you think Foden is likely to start the majority of games despite Haaland's arrival?

Presumably he gets the nod over Grealish on the left side in Ciy's usual 4-3-3, or perhaps Pep will adopt a 4-2-3-1 system with Foden playing behind Haaland...

The Doherty and Kulu slot is the one I will focus my transfers on. I know they are rotation risks but should start GW1 at least and it's a good one

I'm considering starting with him and switching to Bowen GW2. Will need to leave something ITB for that mind you.

This is one of my options but really want a Spurs attacker!

Maddison or Mount could be good replacements. Even Saka. There are so many. One of Foden or Mahrez could become viable or maybe even Sancho or Coutinho at lower prices
