    I know its top heavy and weak in midfield but I don't see the advantage in downgrading Kane and Jesus to Son and Saka or something similar just to beef up the midfield. Also it'll be easier to downgrade a big hitter to a firing mid than to take hits to get Kane/Haaland in if they start firing and rising in price . Good to go or thoughts on how I improve on this??? Thanks

    Two questions remain for me:

    A) Too much of a risk to start with Perisic?
    B) Digne or Tripper for short term (5/6 gameweeks)?

      A) I am going for players where there is no doubt. In the first gameweek, I can't risk players not starting, so Perisic is a risk.

      B) Trippier. I would not even bother with Digne, he can get injured at any moment.

      A. I think they have so much cover on the left he's going to be rotated a fair bit, especially when the CL kicks in in September.

    Bailey feels like a transfer (and hit) waiting to happen. Great enabler but feel like it’s priced in at £5m. Away to Bournemouth first game back in the PL, spirited performance, Bailey off on 59, and so will begin the weekly will he/won’t he start ahead of Buendia etc,

      He's a really talented player that had a rough time and now he's finally looking great in pre-season. Worth a gamble for only 5m. And if it doesn't work out, he can be replaced by KDH, Almiron, Elanga or any other cheap midfielder that shows promise in the first gameweeks. Just make the rest of your team hit-proof.

    Anyone considering a 6-7m fwd? Considering Welbeck (probably only person).....would mean Son over Kane too.

    Partly due to article on here earlier about data-approach...quoting:
    "Bargain forwards compete surprisingly well with mid-priced and premium forwards."
    "There is very little value in attacking (MID/FWD) premiums generally"
    "When looking for attacking premiums, 2x midfielders is better than 1x midfielder and 1x forward."

    No way KDB is better than Haaland, and no way Son is better than Salah.

    Doesn't mean the gamble doesn't pay off and put Mark right up there, but I think repeated 1000 times, they're losing calls.

      KDB has clean sheet pts, extra point for goals and pretty much always bosses bps, we've seen him pick up 2/3 bonus in games where he has no returns. He has so many avenues to pick up points from, while Haaland will pretty much only have one way (not to say that he won't do well in that manner).
